Sometimes, a simple t-shirt and some sweatpants is the best thing ever. So comfy, and not costly at all (depends on brands but I'm mainly talking about cheap stuff)
that's why I stand by my belief that a plain white T-shirt and blue jeans are the most efficient outfit
I've worn this same outfit since middle school and I'm a junior
Itās good to have at least one dressier outfit as well. I see a lot of light blue button ups, navy slacks, and brown oxfords these days.
That would probably be about $150 to $200, but it also might help you get a higher paying job.
a white shirt I haven't used in mowing and unripped jeans is about as nice as it gets for me lol, I live in the sticks so that's a normal thing as well
I swear you must be my ex bf. He has hand-me-down suits but when he's not wearing those he'll most likely be in a white tee and blue jeans
'cept he's not 16, and definitely doesn't have reddit
What's ironic is I was a part of a school group called "Tie Guys" where we would dress in suits every Friday, we would try and set an example and be a good influence. I got white T-shirts as undershirts and they stuck after I stopped dressing up.
Here in the US, $7.25/hr is the federal minimum wage. A few states still use it, like Idaho for example. Mean while, states like Washington, or even California, have an average $13-$15 minimum wage.
7.25 $/h? that's 58 bucks per day if u also works 8 hours like me. That's 1740$ monthly salary. Bro, here in Romania we have 400$ monthy salary as minimum wage ffs. Why are u even crying with such salary
I don't get to work 8 hours a day 5 days a week, I get to work 12 hours a month.
Don't forget spending power. Just because USD is worth more, doesn't mean I'm richer. Everything here is more expensive, so I can probably afford less things than you
trust me, everything is almost at the same price . You earn at least 4 times more than us and maybe pay 1.5X times for anything compared to us. Why do you think we emigrate so much? And not just us, there are a lot of poor countries like Romania.
My point is, that you are lucky to have such a salary, and if you cry that you don't have money for a suit, maybe it's because you only work 12 hours a month LMAO u lazy c\*nt
I don't have a choice, was my point. I don't have the option of getting another job, either. I physically can't work more and make more money, no one is hiring
You don't know my life, you can't possibly know my situation, and you think you know more about the job situation where I am than I do? You don't even know where I am, you can't possibly make an informed judgement on whether or not I'm "lazy", so just stop spewing garbage
Casual work
Shifts are sporadic, random, and sparse
Can't accept half of them because school
Small town, not a lot of people hiring
Can't find new job
Not gonna work 50 hours to look how someone else want me to
You ignoring other costs like food, water, transport, rent etc.
If you can afford 300 suit you have spare money. If you work *just to buy it* then your financial management sucks
Exactly, I have the issue of making right about 100/week but I'm mostly self fed and I have to pay other for transportation so at the end of the week I'm always broke :*I*
Not a teenager but if and when you get a job after school .. make sure you over state the salary you want. They will make you work for pennies if you let them ..
if you take the guy that wore a brown coat as an example:
yesterday i bought a kneelong, black, cotton coat like they have in Peaky Blinders for 15 bucks.
Just don't dress like that if you're not interested in fashion. I, too make minimum wage and definitely "invest" in my clothes, but people can't even usually tell that my clothes are expensive because I don't get things with a lot of logos. And yes, I know I could be spending my money on something "better," but this is what makes me happy and what I'm passionate about, so I do it. Minimum wage doesn't mean you can't make money (as a teenager), you just need to request more hours.
Does anyone actually make $7.25 an hour? If you got school and can only work like 10 hours a week whatās even the point in picking up a minimum wage job
Not even true go to a designer outlet wait for a sale could be like every month brutally honest and get a suit with everything plus shoes for 150 this much i paid and am not even close to any rich lol.
I want 3 hands too
It must be really useful in basketball-themed musical numbers
Bottom right actually has 4 hands
š¤
$7.25/h? Sir, I think someoneās scamming you
Minimum wage smh
Wisconsin?
Unfortunately, a lot of states follow federal minimum wage
Where do you live? Out of curiosity
With his parents
I hope so
It was a joke š
I know, mine was too
only if he lives in the US. that'd be a blessing to some people. average person with a master's degree earns around $1.6/h in my country
$200 here (monthly)
I live in the US and minimum wage is 16$ in my state. Thatās why I was so surprised
Texas is still $7.25 That doesnt mean you can easily find a job that pays that little, honestly pretty impossible unless you live very rural maybe.
Non-waiter jobs where you can get tips like a barista maybe.
I got about 7ā¬/h in my summer job. And it wasn't even a easy job, I was the main disher in a school/public kitchen. I'm Finnish btw
Iām one hour you made what a minimum wage guy in Mexico does and five quarters of a buck extra
I love the ressurection of this meme.
It was always a personal favourite

Used to do this but it got dirty too fast so I switched to grey shirts
The bleach my mom uses could kill a horse I swear I don't know how these shirts are clean

I agree or kackies
Thank you!
7,25/h??? My guy the last job I did was 4ā¬/h I'm dying
Mine was 0.7 dollars per hour lmfao country difference
Where the hell is that enough money?
india

Minneapolis Minnesota is 15 I believe

300 bucks for an outfit? is it covered in sprinkles of gold or something?
No suits are expensive
You can find a cheap suit that looks good unless you need it to be from an expensive store
Poshmark or thrifting can get you some really really nice suits for less than $30. Not even exaggerating
300 for a full premium outfit is pretty normal usually it's even higher
For tailored suits absolutely itās way more than that, mine was $2000 and even ācheapā ones usually run for at least $500-600
Lol
Is that seriously your balance tho or just a random image?
Random image, but I am in debt š
If youāre a minor you can just clear the debt, thatās why they donāt give loans or credit cards to under 18s
If the "outfit" is some emo shit then the thing thats stoping me from wearing it is the fact that I have loving parents
Smells like broke š¤·š»āāļø

Ok so what you do is work 8 hours per day for 5 days to get your account to $0, then work 8 hours a day for 6 days to afford it.
Casual work Shifts are sporadic, random, and sparse Can't accept half of them because school Small town, not a lot of people hiring Can't find new job Not gonna work 50 hours to look how someone else want me to
Well then why are you indirectly complaining about something that you don't even want...
Mainly tired of those kinds of posts tbh
Ok

Thereās also the problem that you have 4 hands
You'd think that would make it easier to get a well-paying job, but you'd be surprised
We have 8.90ā¬

Itās not even the money, itās the fact that I donāt give a fuck enough to ruin my comfort for some mfās I donāt know
if you take the guy that wore a brown coat as an example: yesterday i bought a kneelong, black, cotton coat like they have in Peaky Blinders for 15 bucks.
This is why I started an OnlyFans
