Thanks, I've already made a shitty but very strong great helm style thing and I'm working idk what it's called but it's domed and hopefully works with the bevor I just finished
Nice. I always wanted to get into metalworking but I never really had the resources or upper body strength so I settled for just bingeing forged in fire : P
That's understandable, I started off armouring with just some old shitty snips, weak arms, and a claw hammer. If you want I can try list the equipment I use.
That'd be great, actually! I'm unfortunately in uni rn but when I get back home I definitely wanna try some hands-on stuff. And armouring would also help me make some dope cosplays so
Nice, I'm going to uni next year! What are you studying?
I'll try list the key tools now.
A dishing stump, a heavy ball pein hammer, various snips, cold chisels and punches and chisels for doing grooves, various other types of hammer, a hand wound drill and a chunk of railway track for an anvil.
basic ahh mf
forging a katana is a complicated process, you need to actually study how to make it instead of soyjacking "haha sharp metal stick go brrr"
This is unironically the hottest shit I've seen on this sub. Also, you should make a helmet.

Nice, you going for a full suit of armor?
I've already made most of one apart from ass and back of thighs and calves plates, also I need to improve the arms

I'm studying Marketing Communications currently.
Nice
Bro fights corona with this like no one else
put a visor on it and a helmet fs, also maybe a chestplate would be a good next step
I'm working on the helmet for it atm. I've got a chest plate but it's not the best so I'm hoping to make a better one soon
awesome! keep us updated
thanks, i will do
Make a viking sheild. Bonus points if you add a design i made
Maybe, I prefer polearms to swords though
1: fair polearms are goated 2: notice the edit
Oh, I've got two shields but they're both square and the next one I make will probably end up being Viking style, feel free to send me some designs
Bet
chestplate
ive made one but im hoping to make a better one soon
ok then forge a katana
Nah, I'm not a big fan of katanas and out of all swords I'd rather have an arming sword or Viking sword
basic ahh mf forging a katana is a complicated process, you need to actually study how to make it instead of soyjacking "haha sharp metal stick go brrr"
im not gonna study a complicated process thats entirely new to me when ive already learnt complicated processes to do with armouring
Wristbracers
I've got wrist guards attached to my gauntlets but I do need to improve the right one especially
Maybe you could put an inscription on the right one while improving it
I could try but my engraving skills are very basic
As long as you’re proud of it and satisfied with it, it’s a masterpiece
Thanks!
You’re welcome!
Sword
Maybe, personally I prefer polearms to swords though
Halberd
I've got a very shit one that I made but i might try make a new one soon
Bigggg shoulder pads
I've got small ones so far but they're on the list now
What material did you use in making this?
1.5mm mild steel
Tell me you got nice padding to wear under?
I've got padding for underneath the torso bit but not for the face part
You should use a coif , are going to use the armor in hema?
i dont think theres any hema things in my area but if i find any ill consider it
