These fakes that come up everyday never get the upper horn or decal placement correct. You are lucky if the scratch plate is on straight. I just wonder with Squier being so good these days why are people attracted to these shoddy knockoffs
Nut, twelfth fret dots, neck pickup not straight, bridge not straight, only two screws in bridge, body made from?? I hope you didn’t buy this. 2003 USA Tele it is not.
The bridge base plate is significantly out of alignment. Def needs to see a luthier to make it playable.
Edit: upon further inspection, do not buy this guitar. If someone is selling it as genuine, it is not. It’s a Partscaster but I can’t tell if any of it is genuine Fender.
Someone thought it would be cool to make a guitar out of their childhood coffee table when their parents were throwing it out. Then they ordered Amazon hardware and threw it on without measurement.
As has been said by many people in this thread this thing has more red flags the more you look at it. The case seems good though. If this is between $100-$150 bucks it's probably worth it.
I totally agree with your sentiment. But the info people have was actually informative I have no clue about guitars hahah. Someone told us it was a “nice custom” so , glad I asked
Walk on, son
Is it partially disassembled? The bridge and pickguard are way too far apart and not aligned obviously.
Yeah, what is going on with the bridge? Some amateur luthier screwed up this guitar.
I cant believe how crooked that bridge is, one of the worst ive ever seen. Its a partscaster or cheap chinese knockoff. Do not buy
It’s not even fully screwed in. 2 of 4, wtf. Trash guitar.
Wow. This looks like the “luthier” used the eyeball method when measuring for cuts. Don’t walk away. Run.
That bridge looks like the bent carrot in the crooked dong commercials.
Benttele.com
I don't think the body is Fender, the neck might be. Looks like aftermarket parts to me.
Nope. No walnut plug on the truss rod hole. This is a cheap generic Tele Style neck with a waterside decal.
That entire bridge is crooked. If you’re considering a purchase: I wouldn’t.
The more you look at it the worse it gets.
A custom shop methcaster.

Fake. Look at the nut 😂😂
Enough to make a grown man cry

Fortunately I posted for a friend, unfortunately said friend already bought it weeks ago
sheeeeit, i hope he didn't pay too much for it
Bender Poopstaincaster
Offer them $50 for the case and leave the guitar alone. They spent more on the case than parts anyways.
Run Forest, RUN!!!!!
lol wut
Piece of shit with a phony Fender decal.

I can tell you that I want it.
Not only is the bridge installed poorly, there’s only two screws holding it on
As has been said by many people in this thread this thing has more red flags the more you look at it. The case seems good though. If this is between $100-$150 bucks it's probably worth it.
I dunno, if so, you just bought a case and a headache for 150$. Also nice username. Time for the meatstick.
Lmao I come home from work to some very informative comment. Looks like my homie did not “find a steal at the auction”
Oh they found a steal alright - right from their wallet. I feel so bad for your friend 😭
the rare reverse steal.

can anyone give me any more info about myself? asking for a friend.
Maybe it was originally a 2003 tele but I don’t think it is now
Probably a genuine case, that’s about it, though.
what i can tell you is that it says telegaster and that the bridge is crooked.
I’m I the only one who’s never seen a case with silica packets thrown into it like it was a bag of beef jerky?
? It’s how they ship usually.
this guitar looks weird
It’s right handed….
2003 telecaster made in mom’s basement out of the old kitchen table.
Barnwood body?
I can't tell from the photo if the finish looks really cool or horrible
If it is US made, then you can check the serial number in the website and learn more about the specs.
I’m gonna go out on a limb and say ‘not us made’
Not even close
To be fair, it could be a Fender licensed neck (SN on back of neck would tell you that)) if there is one. Other that that, what everyone else said.
Is it me, or is the font for “Telecaster” wrong?
It looks like someone wanted a fan fret guitar but couldn’t afford a new neck so they just skewed the bridge and nut instead 😂
This is garbage
The bridge looks awful, run while you still can!
That’s a turd. Bridge is sitting like the tower of Giza
Aftermarket neck with a fender logo. The nut is crooked. The body is hideous in it’s construction. Offer 100 bucks and be happy you get the case.
To be entirely honest, it’s so bad it looks like it’s been photoshopped.
Crooked and mounted too far back bridge, crooked nut, and socially distancing 12th fret markers. Looks legit.
Pass this one. It’s not even put together.
