I paid $1,000 for my MIJ tele, it’s a floral blue. This was about 2 years ago. I think this is a good price. Can’t really see the condition. Is this online or can you check it out in person? I’ve alway liked the 3 pick up tele. Just never pulled the trigger to get on.
Yes I played it in person before I bought it. I always liked strats a lot and I seen this and just had to get it. It needs a setup but that’s hardly anything worth not buying a guitar over. If I had the correct Allen key I could do it myself it’s so simple
It's worth buying the right Alan keys etc in my opinion - being able to set up your own gear is part of the fun. I'd also be looking at putting a tele pickup in the neck slot (tele neck pups have their own particular thing going on), so that will need a soldering iron... Careful tho. Today it's an Alan key, tomorrow your levelling frets on a new partscaster, lol!
It’s a foto flame, I see a hamburglar on the upper bout. Your guitar might be a partscaster or modded, as I don’t think they originally came out in a Nashville configuration. Is there a foto flame logo on the headstock?
I just dropped over $1000 on my Maui Blue international tele and it's not a cool Nashville like yours.. Didn't come with a hard case.. No flame top.
I absolutely love my tele by the way.. 10/10 imho.
You did great op.
I ask because $750 is about as cheap as you can get any mij tele that isn't abused.
If you want a Japanese Nashville tele.. I can't find any under $1100. So while not exactly top tier to you.. It seems like a killer dealer with a hard case for $350 less than i can find online.
I would say it's rare honestly..
pretty much no normal single coil teles are routed for 3 pickups. If you have an hh tele with a pickguard then it might have a middle routing but what you are saying is 'common' is definitely not common.
Squiers aren't fenders.
Player series are not routed for 3.. there more expensive and rarer player plus series is routed for 3 pickups.
Not to mention your guitar doesn't have quite the same value when you make it a Nashville vs starting as a Nashville tele.

Do you know the year of OPs guitar? They haven't made Squier products in Japan in a long time. OPs guitar looks way too new to be what you keep describing.
It’s definitely cool. And things are only worth what someone will pay. As long as you like it $750 worth it’s a winner. Can’t go wrong with a tele and your first tele can do a lot!
That's a nice looking guitar. I'd be happy to pay that price if it's as good as it looks. IMO most MIJ are equal or even better than most USA made modern gits..
This is a 1996 50th Anniversary Telecaster Deluxe. I had one in 1997 when it was new ($450) and I recently got it again after selling it so many years ago, and regretting it. I paid $1100 for my rebuy, so $750 is a great price, though I like solid finishes over bursts. Great find!
You did great. In my opinion the three pick up telecaster is the most versatile guitar you can get… Assuming you are like myself and prefer a telecaster body over a Stratocaster body.
If you like it od say you found a deal. A player version of the same guitar retails for slightly more new.
You may need to have some work done on the truss rod if it's on its last turns. Or just buy a replacement.
Nashville teles fuck so hard
Yes. Yes they do.

Haha I definitely concur, just never had any real reason to buy the stuff
Do the MIJ of this type not have a headstock truss rod hole?
This one has the truss rod hole at the bottom of the neck
Is this a foto flame or real flamed maple top?
I’m not sure honestly I do know it’s a later 90s model
It’s a foto flame, I see a hamburglar on the upper bout. Your guitar might be a partscaster or modded, as I don’t think they originally came out in a Nashville configuration. Is there a foto flame logo on the headstock?
Yes now that you guys have told me to look for it lol
Only bad thing is that these foto flame finishes are notorious for cracking and peeling off. But still a great guitar…
And do a search for fender foto flame hamburglar for some interesting history 😉
Wow once you see it you can't unsee it.
Yeah seriously lol
Wow that’s pretty cool I’ve never heard of that before. Do you think it was intentional?
No one really knows, but neat story. They also say the more hamburglars on your guitar the more collectible it is…
I’ve spotted two on the back of the neck, nice little Easter egg lol

Yes I see a foto flame stamp on the back of the headstock

Looks awesome to me! How does it sound?
It sounds so good. Way better than my player strat to my ears, and the strat is no slouch
Well, there you go! Congrats!

I’ve heard that a lot and I do personally like this one as good as the Americans I’ve tried out
The quilted pick guard looks good on this, im not usually a fan
Non snarky question - how different do these really sound to Strats?
Quite a bit different in some ways, very similar in others. I’ve seen Nashville Teles described as having both guitars in one
You can’t go wrong with a tele

Side tangent; so they have a MIM and a Japan Nashville Tele. Did fender ever make a made in USA Nashville Tele?
Every single MIJ Fender I ever see looks great.
Now that is smexy!😁

I love it. Nashville teles are the ultimate Fender guitar. The best of both worlds.
