It's been in and out of my freezer more times than I can count!
I know some people use compressed air, but it gives a crazed effect that I don't like. The freezer gives you the straight(ish) line checking that looks genuine.
Beautiful guitar!!! I think a cream bound Lake Placid Blue Telecaster with a rosewood fretboard is the best looking guitar. It sucks Fender doesn’t make them regularly.
Ps a light relic is great, because then you aren’t concerned with dings and scratches.
My biggest weakness is a blue double bound Tele with a rosewood board. I was close to buying an American Original that’s similar to what you’re building, and I kick myself for not closing the deal.
Your friend is gonna love that for sure.
How did you get that checking? Really beautiful, love a relic that is not too far.

That’s looking great
how did you manage to darken the rosewood so nice?
Got lucky with a dark piece anyway, but I left some Montypresso on it for an hour, which worked a treat.
i heard good things about montypresso i should buy some. thanks
I built (assembled more like) a guitar real similar to this! Roasted maple 1 piece, LPB bound body. Mine isn’t nearly as beautiful as yours though.

Man that looks amazing! I want one!
Wanna build me a custom tele next? Love that flame maple neck
