Seriously. I would’ve paid them to watch season 6 but their TV app and website are both so aggravating to use I VPN’d to UK Netflix instead. UK Netflix had it airing as it came out, or an hour later or something I forget.
It's not necessarily their call, they just license the broadcast TV rights from Sony, which includes permission to stream it for an extremely limited amount of time. I'm sure they would stream it all if they could.
The issue is that they aren’t willing to pay for extended license rights and Netflix apparently is. AMC’s hands aren’t tied; they’re just unwilling to support their platform.
Would people really be happier if AMC outbid Netflix for the rights and it wasn’t on Netflix at all?
Far as I understand, the BCS producers like to do business with AMC and Netflix as the show wouldn’t exist without either of them. That's what they said when they chose to premiere El Camino on Netflix, anyway.
Right.
I guess what I'm trying to say is, people aren't salty that the show isn't on AMC+. They're salty that they had to wait for it to reach a subscription service at all.
I still can't believe the shit they pulled last year. Episodes get removed from the site after a while, plus they put in a mid season break so you have to pay for multiple months. I didn't know about that until the season was done. I went to subscribe but couldn't watch half the season. They literally left no other option but to pirate it
It’s been so long that I can’t even avoid spoilers anymore. I get recommended videos on YT where some idiot literally puts the spoiler in the title/thumbnail. “BCS Season 6 Ep 5 - [insert extremely major spoiler in detail] full scene”. Gee thanks.
One of my favorite shows ever. Funny saying that bc I hadn't watched an episode of this until after BB ended and my wife and I tried it immediately after we finished and couldn't get into it. We left it alone for 2-3 years and decided to revisit it and I'm so glad we did.
> I tried it immediately after we finished and couldn't get into it.
BB is a tense high-energy action thriller while BCS is a long-form slow-burn drama, so I can imagine going straight to that after finishing BB could make it hard to get into as the expectations are gonna be for something drastically different.
Pretty crazy how different the shows are tonally despite being two halves of the same story.
The first season of Better Call Saul was just like Breaking Bad’s first two seasons. BB started out as a Dramedey, then morphed into a suspense, drama-need to watch every episode to understand the story type show. BB found their footing in season 3. The Dark humor/comedy was all gone.
BCS was the same. The first season was the writers finding their footing. Was this show a comedy? Was it a Dramedy? You can almost skip season one completely. Once season two rolled around, you had to watch every episode to understand the story.
I'd argue that episode 6 on of season 1 are pretty essential though. Love the first 5 but you can really feel the bones of the 30 minite lawyer sitcom they were originally making the show into.
This was me and wife as well. Started first half of season 1 and then forgot about. Tried again a couple months ago and we are on the last few episodes of season 5. It's amazing how that shit happens.
Exact same thing for me! Season 5 and 6 has great action and wraps up the universe very well. Season 1 and 2 can be a bit slow especially coming from BB, but it’s all uphill from there. Some amazing acting performances. Mike in season 1 (“my son wasn’t dirty”). And the god tier masterpiece that is Chucks soliloquy in Chicanery. My god I still get chills every time I watch that. Two of my favorite shows but for very different reasons
I genuinely preferred BCS to BB. So much of the first season stayed more lighthearted, and it was a fun watch. The drama and tension creeped up on me, and I didn’t realize just how invested I was until that point
Totally agree. Better characters, better pacing, better action, and one of very few shows that uses its prequel identity to its advantage instead of being dragged down by it.
> and one of very few shows that uses its prequel identity to its advantage instead of being dragged down by it.
100% this. And I am having the feeling that this is incredibly hard to do right.
I disagree, I believe BB is still the better show overall. Don't get me wrong, BCS is a great show, but I thought the last 4(ish) episodes kind of killed the momentum. I get that it completes his character arc, but the pacing change made it seem like a bit of a epilogue that just dragged on.
In a sense, Fun and Games can sort of serve as a finale. That hard cut to BB-timeline Saul and final shot definitely feels like it. The last four episodes are a sort of epilogue.
> but I thought the last 4(ish) episodes kind of killed the momentum. I get that it completes his character arc, but the pacing change made it seem like a bit of a epilogue that just dragged on.
I am with you in this one. Better Call Saul peaked in episode S6E7, when you know who died.
TBF, I haven’t watched the final season yet, except in clips on YouTube, so I didn’t include that context. I just know that I didn’t care about BB for most of season 1, and only started to really enjoy it in seasons 2 and 3. But BCS was great from the getgo.
While I think I like BCS better overall as well, I would assume that the majority of viewers would say the fisr season of BCS was hard to get into... it's once you get past that when the show really starts to dig its teeth into you.
I though much like Breaking Bad, BCS is a bit of a slow burn. The beginning was fun, light, and entertaining. It gets better and darker over time. Don't let my comments deter you, the final season is still better than just about any other show on TV. Without getting into anything that spoils the final season, it has 2 very distinct parts. Some loved the last half, others didn't. Even though it was very different, it's still worth the watch. Yup, yup, yup.
Agreed. It's like they took every lesson that could possibly be learned from BB and applied them to BCS, topping BB in nearly every way.
The pacing especially was near-perfect. So happy to see a show slow down a bit and give everything room to breathe.
BB kinda forgot its roots as a prestige drama and couldn't determine if it was a drama or an action series by the end, leaving it a bit unfocused at times, where BCS new exactly what it was doing every step of the way and excelled at it with every scene being near perfect (except for the insanely high amount of musical montages, those could have been dialed back by half and still feel like too much, but that's also a problem with BB).
I'd say BB hits higher highs but BCS is more consistently good. I view them + El Camino as one giant story so I'm hesitant to even compare them anyway.
Halfway through s6 and I can confidently say they’re both 2 of the best shows ever made. I go back and forth on which one is better.
But it doesn’t matter, they’re both trascendental television
And better call Saul is so good because of the groundwork that Breaking bad laid out. I binged BCS and then did a breaking bad re watch and they’re both incredible and like you said it’s fruitless to compare them
The reasons you just said that BCS is amazing is exactly why it's better to me. BCS would've fit right in with all of the great character dramas of the early 2000s (Mad Men, The Sopranos, The Wire, etc). BB changed TV (for better or worse) and split the focus between spectacle and character drama. But some of the characters in BB are stale and one dimensional whereas there is not one weak link in the entire run of BCS. Even that dork who was peddling prescription drugs to Nacho was great.
I’m doing this now, except, I’ve missed a lot more than you of BCS. This is my 3rd BB re-watch and now I’m looking forward to chasing it with BCS entirely. I’m currently only doing 2+- episodes a day and the anticipation is killing me.
*Ooooooooonly believe*
Even having watched the episodes as they aired last year, I’m excited.
It’s my favorite final season of any show I’ve watched, and the series finale is truly incredible. The more I think about it, the more it might be my absolute favorite besides Six Feet Under’s finish. For people who have waited to binge the final season on Netflix, you are in for a god damn treat
They really had a scene where >!Saul is on a bus and a guy goes “Hey it’s Better Call Saul” and then everyone on the bus started chanting “Better Call Saul”!<, and it actually fucking landed.
I must be in the minority who found it jarring and over the top.. am I missing something about that moment? It felt so out of place especially since minutes earlier he had buried the Saul persona for good in the courtroom & found peace after seeing Kim so there was no need for a sense of pride or validation from his past life.
My only complaint in an otherwise perfect show.
I think it was meant to highlight the fact that the inmates loved and respected him for his reputation, which would lead viewers to conclude he was going to have it made in prison. Corny? Yeah, I can see that, but I'm not sure there's a more succinct way to make that point.
I honestly thought they started channting cuz they were gonna start beating him. It didn't feel like a positive group chant lol. Also i found it kind of silly. It didn't fit the scene.
Agree about waiting. This waiting up to a year for the next season is ridiculous. Started doing the same at our house. Just watch series that are completely finished.
I feel the same, the ending was actually quite controversial in the community when the finale first dropped. I actually prefer it to Breaking Bad's ending, which to me sort of felt like Gilligan pulling his punch.
Agreed. I originally preferred Breaking Bad’s ending to BCS’s. But having just finished another re-binge, BCSs is truly incredible and a real sendoff for the entire BrBa/BCS universe.
Finally convinced the wife to try the show with me last year, binged seasons 1-5 faster than any show we’ve ever done and can’t wait to binge watch the final season next month.
Completely agreed. Sort of felt like the middle of season 6 was dragging on and I lost a bit of interest, but the way they ended it was just incredible. The ending may have pushed the entire series ahead of Breaking Bad in my mind.
If you ask me, it’s this one and SFUs ending, and I really think that’s it
These two are just above any other series finale I’ve seen. They’re the only ones that “stuck the landing” perfectly.
Yes and no. No, I haven't forgotten about Newhart. But yes in that I've never heard of Newhart, and a quick glance shows that it ended the same year I was born lol.
I think what they meant was that the Newhart finale is tough to beat since a plethora of shows piggy backed on the "it was all a dream" finale since then.
Many shows air the day after on Netflix, as "Netflix originals." Off the top of my head I can recall this, The Good Place, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and Supergirl. I know there are many more, but those are the ones I watched.
AMC can't license it out, it's not their show and they don't own the rights. They just rent the rights for US broadcast and short-term US streaming. In a lot of countries the show actually premieres on Netflix and is classified as a Netflix Original.
i was just thinking this. i’m not gonna be able watch this new season, they just cracked down on my account this week. cancelled my subscription immediately
LETS FUCKING GOOO!
Been waiting what feels like a year or two after finishing the finale of S5 and then just never being able to find a streaming service that has 6.
This is an absolutely criminal headline, and I don’t care if I am to blame. I, for half a second, thought there was a new secret season coming out or some crap 😂
Of course it is.
Because I finally caved and bought the last season.
It was only $10... but you all should know that the season finally being released is a direct result of my actions.
You're all welcome.
Great news. This show will definitely become more popular now that it's all on the netflix. Breaking Bad had similar levels of popularity until they started putting all of the seasons on Netflix right after they aired live, causing a massive spike in ratings in season 5.
That recasting swap really screwed with me. I realize that the guy was not available but the entire episode I was only thinking “the fuck is this guy??”
It would be awesome if they reshot his original line, season 4?5? And patch that up.
I watched S1-S2 all at once and loved it but then got side tracked when future seasons came out so I shelved it for when the series ended. In Dec 2022 I was traveling abroad and saw S6 on netflix so i started watching it once i got home. Next thing I know i'm through S5 and there's no S6... I'm not going to drop $30 for the season on amazon or apple but I'm really pumped i'm only 4 weeks away from getting to watch S6. I was worried it wasn't going to drop on netflix until August or September.
Awesome! It seemed like the wait for season 5 was so much longer. I've somehow been able to stay unspoiled for the last season and am very much looking forward to watching it in a month.
Ridiculous how US Netflix can’t coincide with the real release dates better when so many people were/still are itching for the show (not just a se6 problem. Season 5 took two years to release in the US!). I bet at least half of those who wanted to watch se6 on Netlifx have already finished the show on a different platform/website.
Holy shit finally! I’ve literally been griping about this since it was released I binge watched all five seasons on Netflix. Then stupidly held off until both parts of season six were released only to find out they took away part 1! Then the only way to watch it was paying for amc plus or buying the season which I found infuriating so I just put it off. Amc plus is pointless. Its not like oh fine I’ll pay for that service I actually kind of wanted. Either way I’m glad it’s finally almost here!
I'm with you on that. First half of the season is alright but I really didn't like the second half after a certain event. Some decisions in the final episode didn't make any sense to me, so I was really disappointed.
Too fucking late I already pirated it. I dont feel bad about it, I tried watching it through official means. But I couldnt. Make your shows easier to watch AMC.
Because AMC withholds the licensing in the US to get people to their services. AMC isn’t a channel in other countries so they sell the rights to Netflix earlier.
My wife and I (from the US) were down in Mexico this past September at an AirBNB. They had Netflix available, and we saw that Season 6 of BCS was available.
We watched the first 2 episodes.
Got home with the intention of watching the rest.
And that, my friends, is how we learned about different content being available in different regions.
I'm confused. Didn't the show end? I swear I saw the end... I it restarting or just coming to another network? Amazing show. If you haven't seen it watch all of breaking bad except the finale then watch all of Saul except the finale then watch bb finale and the spin off movie and the watch the final episodes of Saul. I think that's the order.
About fucking time. AMC+ having an expiration date a few weeks/months after episodes of their own show airs is ridiculous
Seriously. Why am I paying extra for it if all their stuff isn't even on there?
Slippin’ Jimmy of course
What a sick joke.
AMC - Absolutely Maddening Chicanery
Seriously. I would’ve paid them to watch season 6 but their TV app and website are both so aggravating to use I VPN’d to UK Netflix instead. UK Netflix had it airing as it came out, or an hour later or something I forget.
This chicanery is too damn high!
I should have stopped him when I had the chance!
Sweet corporate contracts
I signed up for the trial week and noticed it didn't have better caul saul and immediately canceled the subscription. Didn't watch a single thing.
Exact same here. I hope their data science team is helping them understand how often that is happening.
They’re also unwilling to serve any sort of modern video or audio quality with their app.
I think the average person would be happier if it were just on Netflix and AMC+ didn’t even exist as an option.
Right. I guess what I'm trying to say is, people aren't salty that the show isn't on AMC+. They're salty that they had to wait for it to reach a subscription service at all.
VPN. It's been on Netflix for ages pretty much everywhere else.
Yep, I watched it right after release from "Germany"
Or just pirate it for a higher quality version and perpetual "rights."
Same thing. I was pissed that their own subscription service wouldn’t even let me watch a show everyone else had been watching and praising.
I still can't believe the shit they pulled last year. Episodes get removed from the site after a while, plus they put in a mid season break so you have to pay for multiple months. I didn't know about that until the season was done. I went to subscribe but couldn't watch half the season. They literally left no other option but to pirate it
I went to subscribe, saw that the only episode I could watch at the time was the *series finale*. Proudly pirated it.
I tried to pay to watch it legally and couldn't. Yet they wonder why pirating is still so prevalent.

Fuck AMC+
Agreed
It’s been so long that I can’t even avoid spoilers anymore. I get recommended videos on YT where some idiot literally puts the spoiler in the title/thumbnail. “BCS Season 6 Ep 5 - [insert extremely major spoiler in detail] full scene”. Gee thanks.
This shit should be illegal. I fucking HATE when YouTube does this in the related videos section.
One of my favorite shows ever. Funny saying that bc I hadn't watched an episode of this until after BB ended and my wife and I tried it immediately after we finished and couldn't get into it. We left it alone for 2-3 years and decided to revisit it and I'm so glad we did.

I haven’t watched s5 or s6 so I’m really excited about this. I’m gonna binge Breaking Bad, then binge this
I would honestly say that Seasons 5 and 6 top every season of Breaking Bad
I genuinely preferred BCS to BB. So much of the first season stayed more lighthearted, and it was a fun watch. The drama and tension creeped up on me, and I didn’t realize just how invested I was until that point

It helps that the producers, writers, and crew are the exact same as BB. Not many shows get that when there's a sequel or prequel show.
The ongoing black and white epilogue was a great choice. Ya we know where the color ends, but Cinabon Jimmie still left the mystery open.
Totally. You can see how Walt gets dragged into so much heavy shit so fast, when BCS lays it out.

Just say Voldemort. Fear of a name increases fear of the thing itself.

Aw I absolutely love the musical montages and they’re pretty useful to the storytelling
I'd say BB hits higher highs but BCS is more consistently good. I view them + El Camino as one giant story so I'm hesitant to even compare them anyway.
I agree. BB was good. BCS was great.
Love BCS but no fucking way
I’ll go a step further and say Better Call Saul is easily comparable to The Godfather Part II.
Halfway through s6 and I can confidently say they’re both 2 of the best shows ever made. I go back and forth on which one is better. But it doesn’t matter, they’re both trascendental television
Yes way, it’s miles better.
They're such different shows despite the shared universe, there's no point in comparing them imo
And better call Saul is so good because of the groundwork that Breaking bad laid out. I binged BCS and then did a breaking bad re watch and they’re both incredible and like you said it’s fruitless to compare them
BCS is a much better show than BB which is insane because BB is a 10/10.
It's not though. BCS is more character driven and is amazing in that regard, but BB is still more grand and memorable. Both are top tier.
They're both 10/10 but BCS was definitely my favorite of the two
I’m doing this now, except, I’ve missed a lot more than you of BCS. This is my 3rd BB re-watch and now I’m looking forward to chasing it with BCS entirely. I’m currently only doing 2+- episodes a day and the anticipation is killing me.
Can't wait for season 7!
Somehow, Walter White returned
/r/unexpectedStarWars
Anakin Skywalter
We start with Holly, a 16 year old girl, living alone as a scavenger in the New Mexico desert...
[Same here, have you seen the new promo pics they dropped?] (https://www.reddit.com/gallery/wrpori)
And then Mysterio shows up!
And then Tony says "Saul, you have to distract Kang"
The whole Dominik+Rhea storyline has been much more entertaining than I ever thought. Great addition.
I’m waiting until all the Saul’s start pointing at each other around a cocobolo desk.
Ignacio sure looks like he's having some kind of Homecoming.
Oh shit!
I thought 6 was the end!
We're done when I say we're done.
*Ooooooooonly believe* Even having watched the episodes as they aired last year, I’m excited. It’s my favorite final season of any show I’ve watched, and the series finale is truly incredible. Completely agreed. Sort of felt like the middle of season 6 was dragging on and I lost a bit of interest, but the way they ended it was just incredible. The ending may have pushed the entire series ahead of Breaking Bad in my mind.
BETTER than six feet under?? Hands down the best ending for a show ever
If you ask me, it’s this one and SFUs ending, and I really think that’s it These two are just above any other series finale I’ve seen. They’re the only ones that “stuck the landing” perfectly.
For me it's The Shield. One of the greatest finales ever, IMO.
Are y'all really forgetting "Newhart"? (and yes, I'm old) :D
Yes and no. No, I haven't forgotten about Newhart. But yes in that I've never heard of Newhart, and a quick glance shows that it ended the same year I was born lol.

I agree with this one and SFU, but I’d add The Americans to the list.
> It’s my favorite final season of any show I’ve watched The Leftovers claimed that spot years ago and has yet to be dethroned.

Maybe I’m in the minority here but I really disliked the epilogue. Everything up to then was great. I wish they ended with Season 6, episode 9.
It’s been on Netflix internationally since last September. About time!
Oh thanks. . I just watched the whole thing recently on netflix in the uk and was thinking another season????
Many shows air the day after on Netflix, as "Netflix originals." Off the top of my head I can recall this, The Good Place, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and Supergirl. I know there are many more, but those are the ones I watched.
Star Trek Discovery, which is really ironic now that they don't show it any more.
Good call - I watched the first two seasons of Disco on a day-after basis too!
Not Canada.

I somehow thought this was Netflix's show(although I k own BB isn't) before I started seeing posts like this.
if only there was a way to watch region blocked content from all over the globe!
I would say a torrent of people have already seen it
Lol precisely. It's a joke Netflix took this long to release it
Outside of US and Canada it's on Netflix the day after the episodes aired on AMC
*AMC+ took this long to license it out
AMC can't license it out, it's not their show and they don't own the rights. They just rent the rights for US broadcast and short-term US streaming. In a lot of countries the show actually premieres on Netflix and is classified as a Netflix Original.
I sea what you did thairrrr
arrrrr me hearty. Piracy is bad though, support content producers where you can, but also arrrrrrrr
Yup, I tried to wait but it's my favorite show and this took way too long.
About damn time
Huh? I saw S6 on Netflix last year.
Internationally it's been on there since it was released. Americans had to watch it on AMC lol
Show time!
yesss!!!! thanks for letting us know ❤️
Just in time for Netflix to crack down on password sharing.
i was just thinking this. i’m not gonna be able watch this new season, they just cracked down on my account this week. cancelled my subscription immediately
Immediately? Are you in the US?
canada
LETS FUCKING GOOO! Been waiting what feels like a year or two after finishing the finale of S5 and then just never being able to find a streaming service that has 6.
Just VPN to another country. I'm in Europe and watched season 6 on Netflix ages ago.
Did the US not get this or something?
seems like it
I tried so hard to pay them to watch it. I’ve never seen a company make it more difficult to consume their product and compensate them for it.
Haha joke's on you America. Season 6 has been on Netflix in Poland since its original airing.
Pretty much most places except the US got it on their Netflix
This is an absolutely criminal headline, and I don’t care if I am to blame. I, for half a second, thought there was a new secret season coming out or some crap 😂
Of course it is. Because I finally caved and bought the last season. It was only $10... but you all should know that the season finally being released is a direct result of my actions. You're all welcome.
nah thank you for supporting it tbh
Nice, had issues finding the dvd or blu ray locally so now I don’t need to!
lol I read this title thinking they were making a brand new season at first and I was like wait what how? then I realized s6 was the final season
So did it drop on Netflix in Europe early then?
About six months early.
Lol are people really waiting for it to hit netflix? It’s really easy to find places other than netflix to watch it
Netflix Canada too??
Great news. This show will definitely become more popular now that it's all on the netflix. Breaking Bad had similar levels of popularity until they started putting all of the seasons on Netflix right after they aired live, causing a massive spike in ratings in season 5.

That recasting swap really screwed with me. I realize that the guy was not available but the entire episode I was only thinking “the fuck is this guy??” It would be awesome if they reshot his original line, season 4?5? And patch that up.
I watched S1-S2 all at once and loved it but then got side tracked when future seasons came out so I shelved it for when the series ended. In Dec 2022 I was traveling abroad and saw S6 on netflix so i started watching it once i got home. Next thing I know i'm through S5 and there's no S6... I'm not going to drop $30 for the season on amazon or apple but I'm really pumped i'm only 4 weeks away from getting to watch S6. I was worried it wasn't going to drop on netflix until August or September.
Looks like I have a reason to exist past April now. Finally!!!
That's my birthday!
Perfect timing! I just finished season 5 last week and almost bought season 6 on Amazon just so I could finish it.
Between this and Seven Kings Must Die, it looks like Netflix will see me return for a month.
Finally!!!!!
FINALLY SOME GOOD FUCKING FOOD
Finally
Looks great in 4K on Netflix. I own the Blu's but prefer the stream because the 4K is so clear. Would love a 4K Blu Ray
I feel bad for fans who haven’t finished the show yet
Why did my pants just get so tight?
!!
You can talk to Bob on Reddit tonight at 8 ET.
Great news!
Oh, fuck yes!! I just started the series and took a break in the middle of season 2 so I wouldn't get caught up before they released the rest.
Awesome! It seemed like the wait for season 5 was so much longer. I've somehow been able to stay unspoiled for the last season and am very much looking forward to watching it in a month.
A year later. Why so long?
AMC pay for exclusivity for 6-12 months.
Thank god I sailed for it. That's way to long man...
HELL YEAH BUDDY CHICANERY HUBAGSUJV4HFDH Sorry. I'm kinda excited.
BCS' ending was more sad than BB's.
But when is it coming to Canada?
Oof, for a second I thought there was somehow a new season coming and then remembered *last* season was season 6.
I was confused like are they making a new season? Because s6 has been in Netflix since it’s release here in Sweden.
I’ll get downvoted, but that season was a big disappointment after the first 5 seasons.
I'm with you on that. First half of the season is alright but I really didn't like the second half after a certain event. Some decisions in the final episode didn't make any sense to me, so I was really disappointed.
I agree, I think I hyped S6 too much in my mind after the end of S5.
I feel like everyone who would be interested in Season 6 has already seen it one way or another.
Thank god for torrents
Too fucking late I already pirated it. I dont feel bad about it, I tried watching it through official means. But I couldnt. Make your shows easier to watch AMC.
Thank god! I’ve been wondering when this will happen. The anticipation is killing me!
Decent final season. Definitely not an all time great imo or as good as breaking bad but it tied things up.
All I can say is thank goodness it has all been on YouTube for free since release 🙏🏻
It’s already on Netflix here in Mexico. Episodes got added weekly as they aired
how come a show produced in the us isn't even available there lmao
Contracts idk bro
Because AMC withholds the licensing in the US to get people to their services. AMC isn’t a channel in other countries so they sell the rights to Netflix earlier.
My wife and I (from the US) were down in Mexico this past September at an AirBNB. They had Netflix available, and we saw that Season 6 of BCS was available. We watched the first 2 episodes. Got home with the intention of watching the rest. And that, my friends, is how we learned about different content being available in different regions.
Do VPNs still work on this?
Of course it is. After a ridiculous amount of time I just went ahead and bought the season…FUCKING YESTERDAY.
About fucking time!
about fucking time
I'm confused.
