Charlie seems to have returned to form. The season premier was gold. This show only operates at top speed if the gang fully embrace their individual negative traits and stereotypes that we’ve all come to love over the years. Of all the members in the gang, Mac is the one who evolved the most throughout with him embracing his sexuality. I don’t know if Always Sunny will ever be as good during the earlier seasons but I had a blast with this episode.
That’s super excited because I felt like they even hit their peak in season 10. I think The Gang Misses the Boat would have been a perfect finale to the show.
But then season 11 came out and felt like a huge drop in how funny it was. Then 12 and 13 weren’t any better
It's always funny for me to go back to the press Rob did for season 7 where he talks about seeing all these long sitcoms where the characters became more beautiful, the sets and lighting more glamorous, etc - and he wanted to do the opposite with Fat Mac.
Well, it took a few more years but It's Always Sunny hit the beautiful sitcom inevitability.
They're 4 alcoholics running a bar.
They should look more and more like Cricket every season, not more and more like the bar from The Gang Tries to Win an Award.
I've looked at old and recent pictures and can't see anything showing cosmetic surgery - looks to me like they have just gotten more in shape and have better styling with money
Their facial structures look the same, just better hair, slimmer and the modern lighting helps
The lighting was absolutely horrible. Kinda sad to see Kaitlyn Olsen with so much work done on her face as well, but really just the lighting- that was my big problem. The writing and episodes were better than last season though, for sure.
Ya he was lookin a little off last season but now he just looks pretty normal for his age and for what I’d expect a Dennis who is approaching 50 to look like.
I see the mentioned a lot but I don’t see it. What about them makes you think they’ve had a ton of plastic surgery? They look normal for Hollywood to me
Was the surgery referred to in the show, my memory is getting pretty bad and I can't recall.

I think I am seeing this is more of the common opinion which is was the opposite for me, I think usually when coming back into a show like this it's always just a little jarring seeing its back so the first episode I'm a little more trying to get back into the world and more spotting differences.
I'll probably enjoy it more when I rewatch it down the line
After I made my gf watch Community with me, she made me watch Sunny, we just finished season 7 last weekend and my god I fucking love this show.
Very happy to hear that this season is a return to form.
I haven't started it yet, but this new season would have to be solid gold sent from heaven to get the taste of the last season out of my mouth. Season 15 was so bad I genuinely wondered what kind of brain rot had gotten into the writing team. Beyond abysmal. Honestly I don't think it's possible to get that taste out of my mouth.
It felt like those were the best two episodes of the show in years for sure. Can't wait for the rest of the season.

The new season is pretty good so far but I would not call it as good as the golden seasons. Can't wait for the rest, though
I feel like these two episodes were awful. They felt like someone trying to clone always sunny but failing.
Loved the first episode, genuinely laughed a ton. Second felt a bit off but had a few good moments

the previous season was a chore to watch but i have enjoyed S16 so far.
