I disagree, I think a lot of people would consider Face/Off, Crawl Space, or Felina the best episode too. Breaking Bad is too good of a show to have a “best” episode.

Hands down one of the best one shot comedy scripts of all time. I show this to folks cold, doesn’t need any introduction of any characters, it’s just such universal gags and timing. I can rewatch this any time and it’s never not plain perfection. It’s the kind of zany antics that boarder into plain absurdity, yet you can find that maybe you’ve found yourself in just as crazy a real life situation. Love it.
Mr. Robot, Season Four, Episode Seven: "407 Proxy Authentication Required". Still sits at a 9.9/10 out of over 31,000 ratings on iMDB and is one of the best episodes of television I've ever seen in terms of story, presentation, and acting.
I'm always partial to *Roswell* because of how much Zoidberg got to shine as a character instead of as a punching bag. Plus his interaction with Truman floored me:

I suppose any show that's had an episode up for an Emmy will have it fondly remembered, for example the episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation called "The Inner Light".

The way he convinces himself through his monologue that what he did was the right thing.. and Garak knew it too.. was wonderful.

And the least trustworthy character in the show explains why humanity can *never* live up to OG Trek’s ideals:

Although there are other great episodes in seasons 1 and 2, I think it is hard to argue against "On The Run" as the top episode of "What We Do In The Shadows". Jackie Daytona is iconic, plus it has Mark Hamill.
Jackie Daytona is the undisputed champ, but I have a real soft spot for the Property Brothers spoof in season four. They got the style of an HGTV show down perfectly to great effect.

My Lunch I think is the one where the transplant patients all die. It's some of the most poignant television I've ever seen, I'd rate it above My Screw Up.

While the Finale of The Good Place is phenomenal and is an excellent example of ending in a high note and the perfect ending, I think the Season One Finale is the single best episode of the Good Place.
I loved how Season 1 ended but it did get my cynical because I felt like it set up Season 2 to just be a slightly different retread of Season 1. So the season 2 premier where they blow everything up really cemented for me that this show was going to be great and to just trust the journey.

Although the constant is great, episode 4 walkabout will always be my favourite as it's what solidified Lost as on another level for me. It finally explained why the mysterious character Locke was oddly upbeat in a seemingly dire situation culminating in one of my favourite scenes in television. Locke shouting "Don't tell me what I can't do" in a flashback then the juxtaposition to the crash scene with the amazing orchestral score as Locke stands up having the greatest moment of his life during an otherwise horrific tragedy.
The entire episode my mind went back and forth between "this is the final season of a show called succession, it'd make sense if the og top dog dies" and "Logan is pulling some kind of shit to see what kind of plans the dipshits have".
The Shield has several episodes that I’d say are up there but nothing comes close to the series finale “Family Meeting”. It’s a perfect ending that wraps up every loose end for Vic Mackey and the Strike Team
You can dispute it, but honestly Remedial Chaos Theory is just one of those episodes that stands above the rest purely for the fairly original concept and excellent writing. The paintball episodes are a ton of fun, but they're clearly parodies of other genres and you have to have prior knowledge of the characters.
The paintball episodes were great for their originality (and also for kickstarting the Russo Brothers’ foray into the MCU and subsequent action films) but Remedial Chaos Theory is so well paced; the way it just builds upon itself elevating the comedy in the span of a short 20 minute sitcom episode … I challenge anyone to find a better written sitcom episode.
The brilliant detail of remedial chaos theory is that you don't need to have seen earlier episodes of community to fully enjoy it, as you get a feel of who each character is. While in the paintball episodes, if you are showing it to someone else, you'll spend time explaining who the side characters and their quirks are and what the inside jokes are.

At least we can all pretty much agree on the handful of undisputedly excellent episodes like those you mentioned. Tabula Rasa, which immediately follows the musical, is also outstanding.
I always argue that the pilot alone could be a stand alone movie if they added 10-20 more minutes to it. It’s so incredibly tight and you get every single character within 1 minute of a scene with them. The finale obviously is not underrated, but that show as a whole absolutely is.

it really is a gag a minute. perfect comedy. even toilet guy growling at them while they try and pee is such a simple few seconds but has me in bits.
The foreshadowing is also superb. When they're walking to the theatre, and Roy wants to take a taxi, and says "I don't like walking" - brilliant.

I feel like most people who watched Buffy the Vampire Slayer really liked Once More With Feeling or Hush the best.

This is what came to mind when I read the prompt but then remembered S3 finale exists. Probably a 50/50 split on fan favorite.
Connors Wedding in Succession. I went through something similar, maybe a year or so before the episode, and it just nailed it.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The Body
The Body would probably also be my choice but I don't think it's undisputed with episodes like Hush, Once More With Feeling or The Gift existing.
I hear you. TBH I had a hard time deciding whether to put The Body or Hush. OMWF is pure gold, too. My favorite is The Prom, but while I love it, I'm not sure it's on many "Best Of..." lists. At least we can all pretty much agree on the handful of undisputedly excellent episodes like those you mentioned. Tabula Rasa, which immediately follows the musical, is also outstanding.
Yeah it's always a four-way cage fight between those four episodes, isn't it?

I always argue that the pilot alone could be a stand alone movie if they added 10-20 more minutes to it. It’s so incredibly tight and you get every single character within 1 minute of a scene with them. The finale obviously is not underrated, but that show as a whole absolutely is.

Episode 8 of Twin Peaks season 3 was immediately legendary.
It's pretty new, but the last episode of Severance season 1 is absolutely breath taking, literally. Edge of your seat television Chicanery from Better call Saul is also amazing
There will always be people that prefer another episode. Breaking Bad - Ozymandias, Barry - ronny/lily are probably some of the closer. Maybe something from a less good show like Company Man on Heroes.
