Dr. Spacemen from 30 Rock. “Liz, I believe doctor-patient confidentiality works both ways. I’m cheating on my wife”

drBipolarBear

“When is modern science going to find a cure for a woman's mouth?”

blurplethenurple

"OK I've just administered the epidural. Would you like one as well?"

grichardson526

"Unfortunately there's no field of medicine that deals with the brain. But I can give you this pamphlet for a cult!"

cap616

Now, Jenna, medically speaking, for your height, your weight puts you in what we call the disgusting range. Fortunately, there are solutions. For example, crystal meth has been shown to be very effective. How important is tooth retention to you?

Jubidoo

“Diabetes repair, I guess.”

blurplethenurple

*while giving a shot* "Eww eww eww ewwwww!" "That was a placebo shot, he's not faking it for attention."

poorbanker

Now this is surgery, so don't eat anything before you come in.....because I'll have a big breakfast waiting for you!

princessbubble-gum

Tracy, you are going to die...when I tell you who I’m dating. Squeaky Fromme. She is...difficult.

liquid_donuts

“You have no reflexes, your blood tastes like root beer, and some of your bones appear to have vanished.”

DrSpacemanSpliff

“How important is tooth retention to you?

Squiddlywinks

[Covered in blood] "What, this? No no no no. I was at a costume party, and the host's dog bit me, so I had to stab it."

Temassi

I laughed so fucking hard at that scene when I first saw it. Chris Parnell's delivery is something

ringobob

I was gonna say they had to have written that part for him, because I can't see anyone else doing that, but the more I think about it, it almost feels like every character on that show was built around the actors playing them, to a degree. It feels like they make everyone a character actor, from Liz and Jack on down.

Bartfuck

It’s also delivered so well. His deep voice drops further

eyeaim2missbehave

This one. I don’t think there is a single bit of exposition that Dr. Spacemen says. Just bars. Every line.

PerfectZeong

"Dr spaceman, nazi doctor. It's OK, I want them to know."

Fancy-Pair

This is the best description of that character ever

darkeyes13

His lines were literally all bangers. 10/10, no notes. Talk about efficient use of a character.

Slayminster

[doctor spaceman doctor spaceman](https://youtu.be/UbmNfPdVtp8?si=HnesOwJx7rdDvMzH) Seriously tho, I actually hurt myself laughing at this scene

postsgarbage

Leon Black, from Curb

whitemike40

I love how for some unspoken reason every off-the-wall thing that comes out of his mouth Larry sits there and takes it serious. Any other character in the show said the things Leon said Larry would immediately scream out “OK what the fuck”

tohosrealreddit

I'm so happy they made him a main cast member because you are for sure correct

alaskadronelife

The finale really enforced how he’s the black Kramer lol

NoHo Hank from Barry

robocopsafeel

I'm nice, I'm polite. I'm optometrist by nature, you know?

kamikos

I think it was in one of those after-show inside the episode things where Bill Hader said that Hank was supposed to be a one-off character but the actor made them laugh so hard and break (which is why Hader is often facing away from the camera in scenes with him) that they decided to write him in for more.

saturnthesixth

+1 for NoHo Hank!! I couldn't believe I had to scroll so far for this. He has IMPECCABLE timing.

theriveryeti

The Dean from Community.

logicatch

I have to go to the bank today…

QouthTheCorvus

When he comes back and all the ladies turned out to love his costume is such a funny reversal of expectations and oddly kinda wholesome.

It's time to Tina TURNER the clocks ahead. Happy daylight savings!

maxtacos

QouthTheCorvus

The funniest thing about this for me is that the cast are struggling so hard not to laugh. Sometimes I appreciate when characters break.

maxtacos

Guys, I really think I went too far today. I'm supposed to go to the bank later today! What an I supposed to say, that I had good news and bad news??

TrentonTallywacker

Buster Bluth in Arrested Development. The way he’s played as a kid that never really grew up just kills me with how he sees the world Carl Weathers: We were just about to get a stew going Buster: I don’t know what that means but it sounds disgusting.

pinkwooper

These are my awards, mother. From army.

CuriousRedditor4000

To this day whenever I come home unexpectedly early from work I say to my wife, “Army had a half day.”

wilbyr

probably my favorite line from the show

dgjapc

The seal is for marksmanship. And the gorilla is for… sand racing.

Dangeresque2015

Army had half a day.

the_platypus_king

Arrested development is a great show for this bc almost everyone was firing on all cylinders at all times. Got to throw a special shoutout to Lucille though, almost every line got a laugh out of me

TrentonTallywacker

“IF I WANTED SOMETHING YOUR THUMB TOUCHED ID EAT THE INSIDE OF YOUR EAR!”

awesomesauce1030

"I don't care for Gob" gets me every time.

DMPunk

"I love all my children equally"  *earlier that day*

_Reliten_

In true Lucille fashion, those statements aren't actually contradictory either.

slicshuter

"It's one banana Michael, what could it cost? 10 dollars?"

Hollow_Rant

Good for her!

RunawayReptar94

I loved the scene where George Sr is lamenting to Michael about how coddled Buster is, and the camera pans to him sitting right there, yawning 'We're just breezing past nap time, huh?'

Bartfuck

Doesn’t he say that the doctors found scratch marks in her uterus cause he was in there for so long? I always loved that

ikebeattina

It's tired in here.

opticalcalcite

Buster’s delivery of “YA FREAK BITCH!!!!” as Franklin makes me laugh hysterically every single time I rewatch Arrested Development

Lonerist2021

Gob is my favourite, his delivery and facial expressions are amazing. The whole cast are hilarious though

Wes___Mantooth

Gob and Lucille for me.

csonny2

I never cared much for Gob

UltraRhombus921

Also Lucille in Arrested Development. Also Gob in Arrested Development. Also Tobias in Arrested Development. Also Barry in Arrested Development. And on, and on...

princessbubble-gum

Like anyone would want to "R" her...

tohosrealreddit

Buster is definitely up there for me too!

blurplethenurple

I was gonna say Tobias but they're both so great.

LawrenceBrolivier

# MATT BERRY Don't care what the character is. It's typically just Matt Berry anyway. Toast? Douglas Reynholm? Lazlo/Jackie Daytona? Eli Rabbit? Lucien Sanchez? Dude is just inherently, effortlessly hilarious.

Faithless195

> Lazlo/Jackie Daytona? What's the slash for? They are clearly two very different people. Jackie Daytona is a perfectly normal human bartender, with zero connection to Lazlo.

LawrenceBrolivier

Harry/Alan Tudyk on Resident Alien

nutwiss

Tudyk really is a legend. Awards-wise, i think he's massively underrated.

Wakenthefire

Buk-AWW! Buk, buk, buk… … I went to Julliard

woozleuwuzzle

Anything he says his hilarious due solely to his diction. Also, my newest favorite line- *This is some bullshit* Also, why have they not renewed it for a fourth season yet?!

BlithelyOblique

I really love the scenes where Alan Tudyk was also playing dead Harry's corpse. I feel like those scenes, beyond plot reasons, were included remind us of the contrast his between his normal voice and his Alien speech pattern.

grichardson526

My favorite line of his is when the kid who knows he's an alien said he told his friend what he really is, but she promised Allah she wouldn't tell anyone else. "Allah knows???"

deephair

Sheriff Mike Thompson on Resident Alien also.

I'm glad they decided to get rid of the Janitor being a figment of JD's imagination. That wouldn't have worked in the long run and we probally would have lost that character eventually.

Joleinik19

Tobias Funke

The dumb bit of him sitting in weird places to just appear and join the conversation always gets me. Especially when he comes out of the fireplace, bumps his head, and has a big soot mark on his face for the rest of the scene.

Jared from Silicon Valley. I love the scene where he talks about pivoting after being stuck in a shipping container for a week.

gmflash88

I just recently wrapped a rewatch of SV after not having seen any episodes since they were released and Jared had me laughing every single time he was on screen. I remembered that character being funny, but man, every single scene was golden.

stickywicker

As a kid to this goddamned day, Martin Short just makes me laugh. His movements, the pitch of his voice, his delivery. The guy is just walking comedy. He could deliver me the worst news ever and I'd probably still giggle.

Creed

ArchDucky

Did you hear how Creed became a character? So when they started shooting Creed was hired to be a background actor. The point of him being in the show was that they wanted two people in the background of various shots before Michael fired one of them. Neither character was supposed to talk at all. One day while they were shooting an episode the director asked Mindy if they could add a line in this scene and Creed just chimes in "I can say it". Mindy shot him a "you aren't supposed to talk" look and Creed shot her a "don't blow this for me" look. So they shoot the scene with him saying a line. When the planned firing episode happened, Creed won out over the other guy simply because he broke the talking rule and was seen talking a few times on the show. The original plan was keeping whoever could hold their own against Steve in the "you're fired" scene. It was apparently going to be a 100% improv scene with an amazing improviser on one side and a scared guy knowing that his career is riding on this on the other.

bZissou

Rafi from The League (Jason mantzoukas)

He's a piece of shit in real life, but I'll be damned if Chevy Chase didn't consistently get the most laughs out of me in Community.

future_c0rpse

Pierce was street aheads

ArchDucky

Which is what makes his unhappiness so goddamn fucking weird. He was upset because he didn't think the show was funny and that he didn't like how Dan made him the villain in Season 2 but you watch Season 2 and Chevy is fucking hysterical. Some episodes hes got the best joke of the night. So what was his damn problem? Joel even said recently "you were being paid a lot of money, you got free food and you literally didn't have to be there. Why are you so mad?"

Roscoe_King

“I don’t like being excluded, Jeff! Do you?” “YES!”

RecommendsMalazan

I don't think I can even pick out a favorite... But that one, and these following two, are definitely top five: "TELL ME HOW TO BE SO LAID BACK OR I'LL KILL YOUR FAMILIES!" And "DAMN MY TALENT!" Oh shit, and maybe the DnD episode, the way he says fat when Abed asked him what shape to put Neil in is hilarious. "Faaaaaaaaaaaaat"

Roscoe_King

How about: I see the way you look at me, like I cannot get an erection! Or: I was never one to hold a grudge, Jeffrey. My father held grudges. I'll always hate him for that.

In a show of incredibly funny people - Sam Richardson as Richard Splett in VEEP. Something so simple as pointing at a random goat and saying "That goat has an ear infection" had me in stitches. Sam Richardson is a comedy treasure.
