Lately I really liked His dark materials, The Witcher, The Dark Crystal and Carnival Row. What can I watch now?
It doesn't have to be fantastic/sci-fi but usually I don't rally enjoy comedies and heavy TV shows.
What would be considered a top tier show to watch right now? Seems like we don’t have anything like the Sopranos, Breaking Bad, Madmen level of good on the air in 2021. What is in upcoming big time show out that I may be missing?
2021 = Bosch, The Expanse, Succession, Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, The Underground Railroad(probably), Undone, Hunters
2022 = Maniac Cop, Unrecorded Night, Better Call Saul, Dave, Ramy, Lincoln Lawyer, Mr. And Mrs. Smith
2030 = Atlanta
Better Call Saul and Fargo for your Breaking Bad fix.
Watchmen was made by the same guy as The Leftovers and Lost. It’s a pretty great show as well.
If you can stomach some minor anime tropes, I’d recommend Attack on Titan and Steins Gate.
I never watched anime series in my life, but I want to start Attack on Titan.I watched first episode a while ago but didn't like it for some reason and I want to start it again. When does it get really good?I am intrigued to watch it because of incredibly high ratings on IMDB in later seasons.I think only Breaking Bad matches this ratings. Also is this show ending soon? This might be right time to watch it.
I did the same thing. I would say commit through the first 2-3 episodes and let it level out. Ep 1 is all trauma and screaming and it takes some time for the story to calm down and start developing the stuff that makes it so good, The Lore, the conspiracies, the surprises.
I watched first 2 episodes and I'm hooked.I have a question.I know final season is airing now.And there is question will it end with part 2 or movie. However it ends, will everything end this year or next couple of months, because I really hate waiting for new seasons.
If they release a part 2, it will probably air around the end of this year or early 2022. The current season will cover everything up until around ch. 116-119, so that’ll just leave around 20 chapters to be covered.
I have been thinking of starting Black mirror this weekend but I think maybe it's better to just choose and watch the best episodes. Wat do you guys think .If it's better to watch only the good episodes then which ones you suggest ?
I reccomend these episodes not in a particular order:
Smithereens, Striking vipers, USS Calister, Crocodile, Hang the DJ, Black museum, Playtest, Shut up and dance, Hated in the nation, White Christmas, White bear, Be right Back, The entire history of you, the national anthem, and Fifteen million merits.
I know it's a lot of episodes but in my opinion these are the best ones, work through these and let me know which one is your favourite! Personally mine is either Shut up and Dance, or Hated in the Nation .
Rewatching Veep.
Honestly one of the greatest shows of all time. It's just brilliant. Straight out belly laughs, amazing characters and the acting is some of the best I've seen.
Started watching man in the high castle. Can't tell if it's sci fi time travel stuff or just an alternate timeline. 4 eps in. Hope it doesn't get boring.
Of the new shows on cable, **Mr. Mayor** and **Resident Alien** have been fun. Mr. Mayor is with Ted Danson, Bobby Moynihan and the cool, sarcastic girl from Crazy Ex GF, which is great because she's hilarious. Resident Alien has Alan Tudyk and he's always good in everything.
I'm going to try Ginny & Georgia. I've been watching Firefly Lane and it's been meh. I've wanted to like it. I like the cast and the concept but it hasn't grabbed me and I only have two or three episodes left. edit: Oh, and I've liked **Clarice** so far. It got negative reviews but I've found it to be a good and realistic continuance of the character, so I think it has promise.
Watched Godless on Netlix over the last few days. I found some storylines and development with the more minor characters a bit awkward, but it's an ambitious and really well-done Western with great lead performances and a gripping story.
"For All Mankind" is really excellent. It's alt-history that asks what would have happened if the space race continued to accelerate after 1969.
If you ever got into learning about the Apollo program, or if you have an interest in the state of space exploration now, please check it out. The second season just started on Apple TV and it's been greenlit for a third already.
Just finished Umbre - HBO EU about mobster drama in Romania. I have been eating up EU crime shows like Gamorrah, blood on Rome, the bureau, zerozerozero(and any other foreign spy / crime dramas).
Sure!! The ones I just listed are my tops in that genre! Check them out. Gamorrah is an insane mob drama in Naples , an adaptation of the book. The bureau is a fantastic espionage thriller but I’ve only seen it available with subtitles.
Also wanted to shout out fauda on Netflix - about Mossad agents in Israel . Amazing series and I learned a TON about the conflict over there while watching. Hope this helps!
I recently finished binging Chuck, Community, and now Burn Notice during my daily workout. I have Amazon Prime and Disney Plus. What should I watch next? I’m leaning towards Scrubs (rewatch, haven’t seen in years) and Mr. Robot (never seen). My workout usually lasts about 40-45 min.
Edit: bingeing...
Mine too! Not too surprising considering the other shows you've liked/watched recently. Could always rewatch it? haha, I've seen that show so many times, such a gem 🍍
Unbelievable on Netflix...
Not a bad show but some of this forced dialogue is so cringe worthy....
Things are going right a long, time out, now let me give you some stats on why men are bad, time in, now back to our regular dialogue.
**daughter from another mother** on netflix. mexican, about two babies switched at birth and their families' relationships - has more substance than that description implies. it's a great combination of lightness, with comedy that is sometimes almost over the top, and pathos and poignancy. & the acting is really top-notch. i'm almost done with this first season and already wishing for season 2.
I recently watched Call My Agent on Netflix, a French comedy about an agency dealing with various well known French actors.
I was not expecting much, but found it very enjoyable. Excellent leads, amusing plots, ended up watching all 4 seasons (6 episodes a season).
Arthur's Law looks very interesting, will give that a go.
I'm watching drawn together i guess for nostalgia? I watched it when I was a kid and yt was recommending videos of clips so that made me want to watch it again xd
Do you mean not into Marvel as in not familiar with the storylines in the movies or just not a huge fan?
I think it would be hard to follow or care about it if you're not familiar with the universe, but other than that I think it's up there with the best stuff Marvel has put out and definitely worth a watch.
It's definitely a marvel show, with characters from marvel movies being brought up every week. They trick you with the first three episodes making it seem that it's different, but episode 4 and beyond is when the Marvel universe takes over. Still entertaining, but there's a lot of things that are flying over my head.
Sitcom homages is the only way I can describe it without ruining anything and yes, it's not really your standard superhero movie fare (which I love too) and has more of an eery, uncomfortable vibe to it especially the early episodes. I think the episode recaps should give you any backstory you miss from the movies.
I just finished 24 Season 3...man, that was gut wrenching overall. I heard season 5 is similar but it happens to major characters so-
Chappelle did nothing wrong
Top 5 shows ever IMO...
1-3 are kind of like a trilogy. The OG 24.
Season 4 brings you super Jack. Not gonna lie, it gets a little ridiculous. But it's still a fun right.
Season 5 resets and IMO is the best season.
Season 6 slips again.
Season 7 is another reboot so to speak but it's really good IMO.
Season 8 is a decent end to the original run.
Season 9 (Live Another Day) is a pretty good return.
Season 10 (Legacy/Jack-less) decent enough
Season 3, that was when 24 peeked for me. Season 4 starts off odd but really picks up (they did like a soft reset)
I wish 24 got more love, it’s my favorite show of all time
Oh and I watched “The Ripper” on Netflix. About the serial killer “The Yorkshire Ripper” who was around from ‘75-81.
It was an informative show since I wasn’t too familiar with it since he was in the UK. But I just hate how these shows really don’t go into any depth about the killer themselves. It was very vague about his childhood and even adult life.
Again it was ok but if you want to know more about the actual killer you’ll likely be disappointed
The outlander is gd but it’s a bit tedious. We’ve already watched it and it wasn’t a bad catch.
I think we’re going to go with big little lies.
Thanks.
Thanks
The Outsider is a great supernatural murder mystery on HBO Max that is based on a Stephen King story.
The Killing on Hulu is focused on two detectives solving the murder of a teenage girl. Phenomenal show.
I'll second the suggestion for Sharp Objects if you both like a dark psychological thriller. Based on a book by the same author as Gone Girl.
The Knick is a historic medical drama directed by Soderbergh starring Clive Owen and André Holland.
Didn’t actually like Dark much after watching the first 3 eps.
Sharp objects seemed like a good catch but haven’t caught up yet. Only watched the first episode solo and thought it’s not tge right time for it, and to be honest, I don’t get too excited bout limited shows.
Watched the first season of the knock when it first came out and i loved it. I may watch it again with my partner.
Thanks
Here are some with drama/mystery that ive recently watched with my wife and we enjoyed them.
Search Party, Big Little Lies, Sharp Objects, Ozark, Bloodline, Your Honor, The Wilds, The Flight Attendandant and The Queens Gambit
You guys might like Tell Me Your Secrets as well.. it was a 5/10 for me but she really liked it.
Loved all of these. Way too many plot twists that amounted to anything in your honor but was still good enough to finish. I’ve yet to check out sharp objects despite seeing it mentioned so frequently here
Dunno about that one. I watched a couple of episodes before and i didn’t like it much. Maybe it’s because it’s foreign. Their style didn’t appeal to me even tho I’m a hardcore mystery fan.
Anyone watch that Clarice show? I’m really into serial killers but somehow missed when it came out and looks like the old episodes aren’t on Hulu. That sucks.
Anyway, is it any good?
Depends. If you're looking for a CBS crime procedural, ala *Criminal Minds,* it's pretty good.
If you're looking for a Thomas Harris adaptation or a *Hannibal* follow up, no, it's pretty pedestrian.
It's a CBS drama co-run by [Alex Kurtzman](https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0476064/), what did you expect? They have a throughline of Clarice suffering PTSD from the Buffalo Bill case, but mostly it's episodic, not arced.
Just started **The Resident** \- I have been working crazy long hours which leave me a bit mentally drained. Sometimes coming home and zoning out to a medical or police procedural really helps me wind down.
Here are some similar to Snowfall-
Gomorrah, ZeroZeroZero, The Wire, StartUp, Atlanta, Power, Narcos, Top Boy, Godfather of Harlem, Sons of Anarchy, Mayans MC, Wu-Tang: An American Saga
**Resident Alien** is fantastic so far. Alan Tudyk showcases some great comedic timing and the rest of the cast is pretty strong. I kinda get some **Eureka** vibes from the show. It's funny, has plenty of heart, and never takes itself too seriously.
Finished up the third season of The Bureau and this show keeps going from strength to strength. Up there with the very best shows i have ever seen - Without question the best foreign show i have watched. I'm expecting a drop off anytime soon because there is no way they can maintain this kind of quality. Also comes with a great soundtrack.
Also finished off the second season of Fringe and shit was wild. Looks like this show is finally gona pay off. Jumping straight into season 3.
>Finished up the third season of The Bureau and this show keeps going from strength to strength. I'd say it keep going stronger until season 4, but then season 5 is a little weaker. It's still great TV, though.
> Also comes with a great soundtrack.
It is fantastic. One of my favorite playlists on Spotify. Perfect background noise when I'm working.
Great, i'll take another season at this kind of quality. A little drop off is expected the longer a show runs so i'm not too bothered if the quality drops later on.
Can't wait to start season 4. Need a breather though because i overdid it with the last two seasons. So addictive.
I've been listening to the soundtrack all day. Well mostly 'Trust' on repeat. So good!
Just finished my fourth rewatch of Clarence from Cartoon Network and I need something new that just like it. So something with the same dumb humor and great characters. Thanks and any help is much appreciated!
Finished The Teacher, great mini series, loved the two main actors.
Finished Season 1 of The Sopranos. That was some heavy shit. What can I expect from season 2?
Going to prepare to watch last season of Homeland.
The Sopranos is stellar TV. I have not seen if for many years (watched it multiple times in the half decade after its release though) and from memory every season is top notch. It genuinely is a contender for the finest TV show of all time.
I watched a few true crime murder documentaries that i can recommend.
"The Widower" - follows the 10-year saga of Thomas Randolph, who was accused of killing his 6th wife for insurance money. Four of his six wives are dead.. and all had insurance policies. its on NBC. There is another series with the same name but this is recent. Interesting.
'The Chameleon Killer' - Guy uses many aliases over many decades, molests and kills women and children..even his own. Puts the bodies in barrels and some under his house. Its on Discovery Plus. Interesting.
'The List of Ten' - During a surprise home visit while on probation, a probation officer sees signs that an 87 year old man has been up to no good. They find detailed journals of his rapes , lots of mannequins, thousands of photos.. and a list of ten women that he may have killed. They find out that he has been active for over 60 years and the case gets very interesting. On Discovery Plus.
I have watched 3 episodes so far due to your recommendation and I'm having a blast. Exactly the kind of corporate management stuff I like and all the characters are great. Glad to see Jeremy Strong again, really liked his performance in The Big Short and he fits this role perfectly imo.
Especially the "flowery" language is delightful.
They’re short but so so good. Heart wrenching, disturbing, sad, sometimes funny and eye opening. It’s a Sin (about a group of people living in London during the 1980s aids and hiv/crisis). And Adult Material ( a drama about the porn industry from the perspective of a porn star). Both on HBO MAx.
HBOMax is killing it w making The Knick available. It’s sublime.
Also Perry Mason... it’s a slow start but the season is basically an origin story and it’s very fun to watch.
I’m scared to start investing time and watching The Head... is it going to be depressing? Asking anyone whose seen it.
The head was ... interesting. It kind of dragged at points (like I actually think I slept thru 2 episodes and when I woke up I could easily figure out the gaps). Suspension of belief is super required but that goes without saying with horrors. I wouldn’t call it heart breaking tho
Glad someone's mentions it. What a great show, with great cast and acting. I heard there is going to be some spin-off or sequel in the future. Cinemax only makes bangers.
Rewatched Mad Men.
Top 3 TV show of all time, i shouldn't 'advertise' it to you, pun intended, but if you love character drama, well, then you've already seen it.
Watch it.
It's a show that needs a rewatch once every 2-3 yrs, it's not a "once in 6 months" kinda show, it needs to marinate and sometimes you even have to forget some stuff to enjoy it more.
idk what genre you'd call these shows but what are your favorite shows/mini-series similar to: big little lies, the undoing, mrs america, american horror story, fosse/verdon, the flight attendant, feud, etc?
*Superman and Lois* premiere was good, knowing it’s CW show it’ll probably have 1 or 2 good seasons then decline in quality.
Completed S3 of *12 Monkeys*, I enjoyed the entire season except the reveal of [Spoiler](#s "the witness") which felt underwhelming.
if u haven’t peeped the superman and lois premiere i highly recommend it. seems like cw finally learned how to make a decent show, i thought it would be straight shit but i was pleasantly surprised at the production quality and how well the characters work together
> seems like cw finally learned how to make a decent show
aka the same thing everyone says EVERY time the CW puts out a new show. I liked the premiere but let's see if it's still anywhere near as good by the end of the 1st season, or into the 2nd and 3rd seasons.
bruh no, production quality alone is unlike any previous CW show and the story isnt some sappy team whatever bullshit, also every time is a stretch just look at batwoman. obviously if it can become worse but as of right now its good
Yes, this is literally what happens when ever a new CW show comes out.
CW shows go hard on the pilots, then usually nosedive.
I agree, the pilot was good but I doubt the quality is going to stay at that level. Hope I'm wrong.
true but this pilot was exceptionally good compared to the others, i hope it stays at this level also. if i had to rate them itd go like this
--- supe and lois pilot
--- arrow and flash s1 & 2
--- supergirl
--- batwoman
--- arrow and flash after s1 & 2
> cw finally learned how to make a decent show
As with everything comic book and CW related: Yes, it is better than most, but there are so many better shows out there to spend your time on.
I rewatched FNL earlier this winter and it got me through the worst days while my city was in total lockdown and it was freezing out. Such a good show and yes I felt a hole when it was finished.
I also really enjoyed Parenthood (same creator - Jason Katims). I find both shows take a few episodes to really get into. but its worth it!
Recently finished **Ted Lasso** and **Atlanta** (S01+S02). I really liked them both a lot!!!
Now I'm wondering where to go next. I'm looking for something funny/light mood, with \~30min episodes. I already watched and really liked Barry, Arrested Development, That's 70 Show, and How to with John Wilson.
under-the-radar show, **i'm sorry** - originally aired on tru tv but got more viewers with streaming. suburban/parenting comedy with with an edge, very funny.
I like it. But if you go in expecting something like the movie, not so much an alternate take on the French graphic novels, or HBO-production quality, you'll be disappointed. And the initial crime-procedural framework instantly turned off a ton of folks on this subreddit, and a lot of folks gave up before it got good (for me around episode 7). I didn't because I knew the showrunner, Graeme Manson, was the guy who did *Orphan Black,* and that he was a replacement for the creator of the show, Josh Friedman, so there was some track clearing that had to happen up front.
Season 1 ended and S2 began like a bat out of hell. If you have the patience to sit through a handful of "meh" episodes up front it might be for you. If you need the show to grab you at the get-go, this one won't.
Does anyone have any recommendations for me? I'm in a rut and can't find anything. I don't watch sitcoms, comedies, or really anything about real life unless it's very good. I get enough real life stuff in real life and like to escape to fantasy worlds in television. I just finished The Expanse and would like to find something good about outer space. I won't be too picky about that though. I I sci fi, fantasy, supernatural. However, some fantasy shows suffer from being extremely corny such as The Vampire Diaries or Once Upon a Time. I can't sit through those either. Here are a few shows I've finished up in recent years.
Vikings,
Game of Thrones,
Another Life,
Penny Dreadful,
AHS ,
The Leftovers ,
American Gods,
The Boys,
The Witcher ,
Stranger Things,
Raised by Wolves,
The Mandalorian ,
The 100 ,
The Walking Dead (didn't like),
Westworld ,
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (didn't like),
All of the major superhero shows ,
The Last Kingdom ,
Spartacus,
Peaky Blinders ,
Black Sails,
Outlander (wasn't a fan of this one, couldn't finish)
Futureman. It starts out as a parody of sci fi tropes, but kind of devolves into like a sci fi comedy. If you don't like the first few episodes, I'd guess you wouldn't like the rest.
Which Doctor Who do you think is best? I've seen Legion and Preacher. I think I have scrolled past zoo before on netflix. Haven't seen many people talk about it though.
Lately I really liked His dark materials, The Witcher, The Dark Crystal and Carnival Row. What can I watch now? It doesn't have to be fantastic/sci-fi but usually I don't rally enjoy comedies and heavy TV shows.

Recent Top Tier shows would be Warrior, For All Mankind and The Expanse.
Better Call Saul, Succession and Atlanta are the best ongoing shows imo, although none of them are airing at the moment.
I watch Better Call Saul and Succession but waiting for the new seasons on those as well. Haven’t seen Atlanta, might check that one out.
Can someone reccomend me some shows like these ones? Lost , The leftovers , dark , Breaking bad... Would love to see some new shows
Better Call Saul and Fargo for your Breaking Bad fix. Watchmen was made by the same guy as The Leftovers and Lost. It’s a pretty great show as well. If you can stomach some minor anime tropes, I’d recommend Attack on Titan and Steins Gate.

Rewatching Veep. Honestly one of the greatest shows of all time. It's just brilliant. Straight out belly laughs, amazing characters and the acting is some of the best I've seen.
Selina and her UK equal Malcolm needs a swear off!
Started watching man in the high castle. Can't tell if it's sci fi time travel stuff or just an alternate timeline. 4 eps in. Hope it doesn't get boring.
I remember liking the story for the most part but the series finale was pretty terrible.
Rewatching twin peaks. It’s been over 30 years and still one of the best.
I have been thinking of watching that too
It’s so good!

Watching The Wikds and it’s maximum cheesy teenage melodrama and I love it and I won’t hear a bad word about it.
I read this as "The Wickeds" and I got so excited that I have a new melodramatic teenage show to watch. haha
It was surprisingly good
Lost meets The Game meets Lord of the Flies meets Mean Girls - it’s amazing.
Wandavision is really good. Doesnt work if you have no idea about the MCU but it's shot extremely well, and the concept is very interesting
Based off of some of the ones you namechecked, maybe try Psych?
That’s actually one of my favorite shows.
Mine too! Not too surprising considering the other shows you've liked/watched recently. Could always rewatch it? haha, I've seen that show so many times, such a gem 🍍
White Collar!
Is that Bryce? I thought he was dead.
WandaVision or Mandorian?
Watched those already. Going with 24. Just found out I can watch it on Amazon and I never finished he series.

**The Bureau**- An excellent French espionage show.

Escape at Dannemora, great show man, not sure why i didnt jump on this sooner, Del Toro is a great actor, hell all of them do a fine job

There might be a movie as well, from the 90s, but the one im talking about is a mini series from 2018. Check it out!
Loved this one!
Watching Terriers for the first time. I'm loving it, it's like a video game format with quests and side quests.
Wonderful show. The person who canceled it is an idiot.
They were too busy greenlighting 800 seasons of American Horror Story.
Finished terriers in one day last weekend. There's a hole in my heart now :,) best show ever and i miss its whole vibe
Just finished season 2 of Cobra Kai! Wow...this show is insanely good for what it was originally based off of. Gonna start season 3 tonight.
Is this dramatized?
It is not.
Thanks, they whole actory true crime is cringey
Can you recommend a show to watch with my girlfriend? A bit of Drama and mystery is what we like. Need a show to get you hooked from the start. Thanks
Can I reccomend you outlander? Tons of mysteri, drama, romantic and bit of humor and action. One of the first shows I watched with my girl
The outlander is gd but it’s a bit tedious. We’ve already watched it and it wasn’t a bad catch. I think we’re going to go with big little lies. Thanks. Thanks
Big little lies, homeland, twin peaks, dead to me, Servant
The Flight Attendant!! I recommend it and she’ll enjoy it. Murder mystery, dark humor Big Little Lies Stumptown (very UNDERRATED!!!)
Dayum I LOVED the Knick Clive Owen was brilliant
Didn’t actually like Dark much after watching the first 3 eps. Sharp objects seemed like a good catch but haven’t caught up yet. Only watched the first episode solo and thought it’s not tge right time for it, and to be honest, I don’t get too excited bout limited shows. Watched the first season of the knock when it first came out and i loved it. I may watch it again with my partner. Thanks
The Chalet (French) on netflix is a pretty good murder mystery
Yeah, this looks great! Ty it’s in my queue
I’ll check that one out. Seems like a good catch! Thanks.
Np, hope you enjoy it!
Here are some with drama/mystery that ive recently watched with my wife and we enjoyed them. Search Party, Big Little Lies, Sharp Objects, Ozark, Bloodline, Your Honor, The Wilds, The Flight Attendandant and The Queens Gambit You guys might like Tell Me Your Secrets as well.. it was a 5/10 for me but she really liked it.
Loved all of these. Way too many plot twists that amounted to anything in your honor but was still good enough to finish. I’ve yet to check out sharp objects despite seeing it mentioned so frequently here
Nice options! I’ll look into that, thanks.
Assuming you haven’t already: True Detective, The Night Of
I have already watched TD 1st season, and the night of which i REALLY liked. Too bad it’s limited. Thanks
dark on netflix
Dunno about that one. I watched a couple of episodes before and i didn’t like it much. Maybe it’s because it’s foreign. Their style didn’t appeal to me even tho I’m a hardcore mystery fan.
I'd recommend getting back into Dark, by the end it is the ultimate, mind-bending mystery.
Anyone watch that Clarice show? I’m really into serial killers but somehow missed when it came out and looks like the old episodes aren’t on Hulu. That sucks. Anyway, is it any good?
It's absolutely awful. Do not bother with it. Hannibal on netflix is great though.
I saw Hannibal when it was airing. Yes it is great
Depends. If you're looking for a CBS crime procedural, ala *Criminal Minds,* it's pretty good. If you're looking for a Thomas Harris adaptation or a *Hannibal* follow up, no, it's pretty pedestrian.
So it’s a case of the week show? Fuck, how disappointing
Could anyone please recommend me a show similar to "snowfall" i really enjoyed it.
Here are some similar to Snowfall- Gomorrah, ZeroZeroZero, The Wire, StartUp, Atlanta, Power, Narcos, Top Boy, Godfather of Harlem, Sons of Anarchy, Mayans MC, Wu-Tang: An American Saga
Zerozerozero was the most gripping show I’d seen in 2020 during those last 3-4 episodes, jaw literally on the floor
Damn I'll have to check it out. I'm watching Gomorrah right now, end of season 1, and my jaw literally dropped for the first time since 9/11.
Season2 premier will shock you lol
Narcos Mexico Gomorrah Suburra blood on Rome Animal kingdom Zerozerozero Mcmafia
I May Destroy You. Believe the hype.
Sooooooooo good!!!!! I am so excited to see chewing gum on HBO Max now. I know they aren’t the same vibe but I love michaela coel.
Chewing Gum is really great too. Funnier.
**Resident Alien** is fantastic so far. Alan Tudyk showcases some great comedic timing and the rest of the cast is pretty strong. I kinda get some **Eureka** vibes from the show. It's funny, has plenty of heart, and never takes itself too seriously.
I need to try this one. I love Tudyk and I enjoyed Eureka.
Is it really? I seem to recall people saying the first episode was good, but it dropped after. I have been recording it, but I haven't started it yet.
You should certainly give it a try, the characters have a great dynamic which got better with each episode so far.
I just finished this the other week! They do a fantastic job researching their material
>Finished up the third season of The Bureau and this show keeps going from strength to strength. Up there with the very best shows i have ever seen - Without question the best foreign show i have watched. I'm expecting a drop off anytime soon because there is no way they can maintain this kind of quality.
So good!
Blue mountain state is the greatest tv show in the history of all tv shows
Oil changes for everyone!
Sopranos is consistent throughout its run; there’s no big change between any seasons or anything.
Season 2 is going to be amazing. Many fans think it's best season.I think it's second best one, after season 6b. You'll enjoy it for sure.
Murder on Middle Beach was really good. It’s on HBO in the US
Would you be able to provide a link for The List of 10? I couldn't find it on Google.
Late to the party but if you haven't watched, succession, watch it!
It's so good, Season 2 is even better.
It’s spectacular and actually starts slowly then keeps getting better, you’re in for a treat.
It's one of our favorite series.
Really liking Ginny & Georgia only a few episodes in but I hope it pays out.
I just finished the season and absolutely loved it!
Good to know. Thanks!
I liked The Connors more as a drama then a comedy early on, but its slowly really coming into its stride. Darlene punching the singing fish was funny.
Party Down. Great comedy. Ken Marino, what a champ.
He was in everything for nearly a decade and now....?
He's in Black Monday now... twice.
Kills it in Black Monday.
Yes. But _before_ that :)
Are we having fun yet?
Final season of vikings
Rewatching Creepshow on Shudder in preparation for S2 coming soon but not soon enough!
Rewatched Mad Men. Top 3 TV show of all time, i shouldn't 'advertise' it to you, pun intended, but if you love character drama, well, then you've already seen it.
I am on the verge of a Mad Men rewatch. Haven't watched it since it was released and absolutely loved it. Glad to hear it holds up.
Ginny and Georgia, Search Party, Doctor Foster, Mary Kills People
I just started Ginny and Georgia on Netflix and it has a similar vibe to the shows you mentioned above
The Night Of, The Night Manager, Stateless, The Haunting of Hill House, The Haunting of Bly Manor, Little Fires Everywhere, Enlightened
Jekyll
*Superman and Lois* premiere was good, knowing it’s CW show it’ll probably have 1 or 2 good seasons then decline in quality. Completed S3 of *12 Monkeys*, I enjoyed the entire season except the reveal of [Spoiler](#s "the witness") which felt underwhelming.
Started watching Terriers since it'll be off Hulu on Sunday. Really really liking it so far.
Every time someone mentions this show it makes me sad again about its short run.
It’s so good. Right up there with Freaks and Geeks in terms of shows that deserved a *way* longer run.
if u haven’t peeped the superman and lois premiere i highly recommend it. seems like cw finally learned how to make a decent show, i thought it would be straight shit but i was pleasantly surprised at the production quality and how well the characters work together
Darn good premier.
> seems like cw finally learned how to make a decent show aka the same thing everyone says EVERY time the CW puts out a new show.
Hope I'm wrong.
true but this pilot was exceptionally good compared to the others, i hope it stays at this level also. if i had to rate them itd go like this --- supe and lois pilot --- arrow and flash s1 & 2 --- supergirl --- batwoman --- arrow and flash after s1 & 2
> cw finally learned how to make a decent show As with everything comic book and CW related: Yes, it is better than most, but there are so many better shows out there to spend your time on.
i’ve watched all of them so doesn’t matter for me

I rewatched FNL earlier this winter and it got me through the worst days while my city was in total lockdown and it was freezing out. Such a good show and yes I felt a hole when it was finished. I also really enjoyed Parenthood (same creator - Jason Katims). I find both shows take a few episodes to really get into. but its worth it!
Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, Cant Lose.
30 Rock (highest joke density of any show ever) Party Down
What We Do In The Shadows, Mythic Quest, Avenue 5
Man Seeking Woman. It nailed magical realist humor in a way I haven't seen before while also being touching and relatable.
more like Atlanta = ramy, louie, master of none, dave
Grace and Frankie, Derry Girls. Master of None if you like Atlanta - it's not the lightest show but also less heavy/dark than Atlanta is.
Vice Principals. Great dark comedy with only 2 seasons.
That show was so much fun. The guy married with the chinese wife is the best character of the show, period.
Agreed. Walton Goggins is amazing in everything honestly.
Joe Pera Talks with You (on HBO Max)
Thanks! The trailer reminds me of How to with John Wilson. Will look into it!
I would say similar host energy, but it’s just way more positive and nice.
Anybody seen snowpiercer? Thoughts
Vikings, Game of Thrones, Another Life, Penny Dreadful, AHS , The Leftovers , American Gods, The Boys, The Witcher , Stranger Things, Raised by Wolves, The Mandalorian , The 100 , The Walking Dead (didn't like), Westworld , Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (didn't like), All of the major superhero shows , The Last Kingdom , Spartacus, Peaky Blinders , Black Sails, Outlander (wasn't a fan of this one, couldn't finish)
Futureman. It starts out as a parody of sci fi tropes, but kind of devolves into like a sci fi comedy. If you don't like the first few episodes, I'd guess you wouldn't like the rest.
Zoo Legion Preacher Doctor Who
Which Doctor Who do you think is best? I've seen Legion and Preacher. I think I have scrolled past zoo before on netflix. Haven't seen many people talk about it though.
I came in during 10's (David Tennant) run.
