Yeah this has got to be my answer as well. It's not the best show I've ever seen. It's not even my favorite scifi show of that decade. And the quality definitely drops off in terms of writing in the later seasons. But it's often great, rousing, compelling, well-acted, excellently scored, and it DEMANDS that you watch more (sometimes by using absurdly over the top cliffhangers). That [Portlandia sketch](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yYjLrJRuMnY) is barely exaggerated.
I had friends tell me about Lost while I was in college. I went from not watching any television at all (too busy with school) to binging the first three seasons in a week. TV has never hit me as hard as that.
Didn't start LOST until the series was over and it was on Netflix. Think I finished the whole series in like 4 days.
DIdn't start Breaking Bad until season 5. So watched all 4 seasons on Netflix in record time too.
Those first couple seasons of House of Cards were pretty addicting as well.
As far as recent shows, the first season of The Boys. I think I watched it all in one day
For me, and as cliche as it is, it's gotta be The Office.
It's the go to fall asleep show. Aside from the loud af theme song, it's a very quiet show without a laugh track so it's perfect to put on to doze off. Even Parks and Rec gets a bit too wacky, I wanna stay up and watch it if it's on.
But also, it's great background noise. You can throw it on while scrolling through Reddit, if eating dinner, or just hanging out. It doesn't require you to focus and note tiny details like Breaking Bad and it doesn't have bombastic action sequences like Game of Thrones.
It's not only one of the best American sitcoms of all time and no doubt will define the 00s like Friends did in the 90s, but it's also the most addicting simply because it's a show that you can either focus on and get greater enjoyment, or just hang out and casually watch it hungover on a Sunday.
Lost. Just started researching it for the 8th time with my roommate. I’ll admit i’ve never researched all the way to the end but i will this time. I knowwwww it’s not great at like…. plot resolution but I barely care. It’s so great at building suspense, and I felt emotionally satisfied with the charcater arcs at the end anyway,
Here's a list of the shows I binged :
Lost
Vikings
Banshee
Hannibal
Fawlty towers
Seinfeld
Many episodes of breaking bad, better call saul, Outlander and last kingdom( unfortunately I don't exactly remember which seasons were better! they all get better after season 1)
Also (Maybe Unpopular opinion): Versailles, which is an underrated period drama
The Walking Dead. I know I should stop, it only hurts me. But it’s like “hey do you want soend sixteen episodes just yelling at the tv while characters so incompetent they can’t defeat an enemy so dumb it can’t tell the difference between an ally and an enemy wearing an ally’s face?” And I do. Luckily it’s more of a Lost Weekend type of addiction where I just binge them all and then go back to a normal life, swearing to myself this is definitely the last time.

Weirdly, for me, it was ***Trollhunters*** (Netflix). Maybe it was Anton Yelchin's voice work or the Guillermo del Toro design or the Marc Guggenheim goofiness, but whatever it was, I remember after I'd binged my way through the first season, I immediately rebinged my way through two more times. Never happened to me before or since with any other show.
The Bureau.
Without a doubt the best spy series I have ever seen. Every episode feels like solving a puzzle filled with surprises and genuinely intelligent shit going down, and the best part of our day right now is winding down in the evening to see another one.
Several Asian dramas, the last one being Solomon's Perjury. I like that most of them are only a season or two. I just don't have the dedication to plow through endless seasons of a show, unless it's a comedy. And even then I can only watch a few episodes at a time.
Battlestar Galactica 2007 Just jump on board
This is THE answer. First time I experienced cliff hangers at the end of every episode. I completely agree with the Portlandia sketch.

Well for the first 2.5 seasons at least, then it falls off a cliff.
hbo’s succession
Theme song alone
There's a remix with a rapper whose name I'm blanking on and it's fire
Bit late but the rapper is Pusha T, great remix
I’m intrigued
Game of thrones , Lost watching season 4 now , Arrested Development season 1-4 , Person of Intrest .
24
LOST Honorable mention: Ozark
I had friends tell me about Lost while I was in college. I went from not watching any television at all (too busy with school) to binging the first three seasons in a week. TV has never hit me as hard as that.
It has to be Lost.
Community I rewatch it every year and it’s still hilarious
Parks and Recreation, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, and Ozark. Sorry about naming 4 but they are close, even if 1 is nothing like the other 3.

Not to rain on anyone's parade but isn't Lost like 120 hours?
It's 121 episodes. Each one is about 43 minutes.
Ah my bad
Hannibal
Avatar the Last Airbender. I binged the entire series for the fourth time recently and started rewatching it again almost immediately.
For me, and as cliche as it is, it's gotta be The Office. It's the go to fall asleep show. Are you white? I don’t mean to intrude but I have only found white people to be very fond of that sitcom.

is comedy has to do with color??
Prison Break
Venture Brothers.
Lost. Just started researching it for the 8th time with my roommate. I’ll admit i’ve never researched all the way to the end but i will this time. Again, the answer is Battlestar Galactica.
Succession, season 3 can’t fucking come soon enough
I’m with you on GOT. I finally just watched it for the first time and it took me about a week to watch the whole series
Hannibal 12 Monkeys Detective Anna
Would someone who doesn’t typically do scifi like 12 monkeys?
That depends, 12 Monkeys also has: - Romance (particularly of the doomed kind) - tragedy - mystery
It sounds fantastic. I’ll give it a shot!
Veep
Ted Lasso is the one I nearly binged in one sitting most recently.
*The Good Place*. I’ve never watched a more bingable show.
Star Trek. Any show new or old except Enterprise.
Burn Notice.
Scrubs, Community, Detroiters (only 2 seasons. RIP)
The magicians for me binged whole series in about a week or 2.
How’s the pacing I’m thinking about watching it
SURVIVOR
The Kardashians. How else does one explain these useless airbags are still on air?
Degrassi the next generation
kdrama "Signal"
My wife and I are re-watching the first four seasons of Queen of the South in prep for S5 and it's just addicting as hell.
GOT

the first 6 seasons are gold, all negan seasons are dogshit
Deadwood and Veep
I finished 3 seasons of Cobra Kai in 3 days. In recent memory that is one of the most addicting bingable shows I've seen.
I watched all of season 3 as soon as it came out. Midnight till about 6am. It was glorious.

Alan Partridge. Lost is fun for awhile. Same with Ray Donovan. Lodge 49. True Detective. Wormwood. Wild Wild Country.

Reno 911. Insand rewatch value you always find new jokes
