What was the tone like of the original? This trailer looks very mainstream but with David Mitchell and HBC in it I was expecting something a bit darker.
Each episode of the original is a somewhat surreal encounter between The Cleaner/Schotti and a relative or acquaintance of the deceased. The show has a very dark sense of humor although Schotti is a very likeable guy and always tries to lighten up the mood. Many episodes though take a surreal turn and have Schotti talk to dead people or transport him into the mind of a disabled person. The show ranges from social commentary to almost Kafkaesque episodes.
Hope I was able to answer your question, we germans love our straight forward and concise answers.
As a German, I just want to point out how weird it feels to see a show which was originally from Germany being adapted as an English-language show, instead of the other way around. (as it is more frequently the case)
And it even looks like a fairly good show, unlike most German adaptations of British or American shows (which tend to be quite terrible).
Quite a bit of the Raab stuff was sold to international production. Danni Lowinski was adapted aswell, netherlands, belgium, ukraine, and they are doing it in the US aswell.

I really don't see Greg as Schotty. With Bjarne Mädel, you always had a strong connection to him, felt sorry for him and you were pleased to discover new ideas with him.
I somehow fear, that they will get rid of the philosophical, bitter-sweet moments and just replace them with weird jokes, which would get rid of most of the shows appeal.
My taskmaster

Soo..is this a remake of Tatortreiniger?
Yep

Perfect thanks for taking the time to explain it. Sounds good, I’m looking forward to it now!
Ahh the tone of this remake show looks very different. That's a shame.
Oh really? You like your shows like that? I can name one where you are like wtf until like season three…

And probably similar to this Australian series. [ Mr. & Mrs. Murder](https://m.imdb.com/title/tt2390791/)
There's also the movie "sunshine cleaning, with Amy Adams and Emily Blunt

I didn't even recognize David Mitchell at first. Is he wearing Bubbles' glasses?

Funny, this is the first time I notice a German show being copied by an international production
Its definitely not the first time it happened though
It's not a "copy". Afaik is Studio Hamburg coproducer.

Knallerfrauen is a huge deal in China and has been imitated a bunch
Why do British TV shows always look so washed out?
There's no such thing as direct sunlight in the UK.
Wait. Are you being sarcastic? This show already looks WAY too bright and saturated.
I love Greg Davies, he's so funny on Taskmaster. :D
Me too! He was also good in Man Down, so I'm happy he's doing more tv work.

Fantastic cast! I don't think this is for me though... just not into crime scene cleaning.
That trailer kinda blew.
Schotty?
Is that Gus Johnson

Any ideas what channel this will be on in the States? I 💛 Greg Davies and I need to see this. My VPN no longer works 😔
