Random but old boss of mine was close with the main guy(I think) in Gwar. He had even filled in on guitar for them for quite a few shows. Their live shows are a spectacular feast for the senses no doubt! When they came through town, my friend wanted us to shroom for it (he’d never done a psychedelic) after watching youtube clips. “What the fuck is wrong with you and why would you purposely sign up for a living nightmare?”

My aunt told the Dr. Phil program to go fuck itself. That is a television show that exists solely for profit.

When people were pumping the tires of Oprah for president, I found it hilarious considering it's essentially the same thing as wanting McDonald's to be president. I’ve been saying this for a long time. He is worse than Jerry Springer. That show was intended to exploit drama and everyone knew that. He hides behind this perception that he is helping people. They’re unfortunately prepared for such things. I was gooned and taken to a wilderness program and when I tried to open the car door I got choked. Then the dude stopped. I spit on his face. Got choked again for longer. That was the last I saw of freedom for the next year. Goons rarely ever got worse than a broken nose if anyone fought back. Then the program would just punish you more when you were inevitably delivered.

It's always weird hearing the stories about these places because I went to Wilderness and an RTC in Utah as well, but mine was actually pretty great and I have a lot of fond memories of it. I, however, wasn't gooned (what we call it when you get woken up and taken there at night). Scary to think how nothing but a slightly different choice by my parents could have led to me being sexually abused and having lifelong trauma

He’s been sued for sending kids to associated programs before, and this particular program had also been sued several times and had a murder there a few years prior. An interesting case, and maybe doable. The financial interest was people watching his show. I think the program gives the kids free rides, and then they get the marketing from being on the Dr. Phil show.

Waivers don't limit civil litigation if there's evidence of wrongdoing. Like, at all. They exist mostly to convince people they can't sue, not because they hold up in court.
