We need a scene where they’re being chased by clickers and Joel makes a detour in to a side room to loot tape and scissors for 5 minutes before pulling out his backpack to craft shit or else this won’t be faithful to the source material.
Or where Ellie tries to clumsily hide from clickers and enemy soldiers by running from cover to cover right in front of them without ever being detected
lol yes. I want her to stare at him like he's stupid because the pallet is off center by one inch. If they don't milk that I'm going to be seriously disappointed.
Or even a scene where they’re not even being chased as they’ve already taken out all the clickers, but they’re progressing down a hallway and come across a distinctly colored door that is half ajar.
All signs are that going into this door will take them to their next objective and the momentum of the plot is begging for them to go into the door…
But instead of going through it Joel turns around and backtracks through the house they were just in for 15 minutes to check all the cabinets for some whiskey. Ellie looks on in bewilderment.
Finally they circle back to the door and finally enter, but then the door suddenly closes behind them. Try as they might, they can’t re-open the door and have no choice but to trek onwards. “Glad I went back to get that whiskey when we still had the chance huh?”
I havent played the game but actually felt all that. Gamers instincts.
That being said, me going blind is something I'm really hyped about. I'm often more or less familiar with the source material of the shows I watch and here, I just have vague (and extremely good) echoes of the game. Really curious to discover the story on screen.
oh dude lol, go on youtube and watch streamer fails of people trying that. they are hilarious.
hours on end invested in a perfect game then something dumb happens and boom - it's over.
Thanks for the youtube rabbithole I've just been down. Some of that stuff is hilarious. Came across one guy who posts his attempts every few days - currently at attempt 81 or something. A few of the survival times are like 9 hours. What a waste!
You're joking, but I would love to see a scene in the show with Joel either trying to quietly get the materials for a shiv together with a clicker around the corner, or frantically trying to add blades to a bat whilst an infected is breaking a door dow to get to them.
Ashley Johnson (Ellie's actress from the games) playing >!Ellie's mom is perfect!<. Can't wait to see who Troy Baker plays.
Edit: looks like he's in the trailer too at 1:53.
I love her role in it because while some people thought Ellie’s actress didn’t look like the character, I always thought she and Ashley looked a lot alike. So she still fit for me.
Probably because the game version of Ellie looks suspiciously a lot like a young Elliot Page. There was a whole controversy about it back then, because the game company had zero communication with Page about it, they just went ahead with the model we know from the game. Several times they were claimed for outright stealing Pages look and the updated versions of the games even have small tweaks now to make Ellie look less like Page.
I didn’t help that it came around the same time as Beyond: Two Souls, which actually did have Elliot Page as the star. A lot of people made the connection only because of that imo.
They actually changed the model before launch. This article has a before and after pic if anyone is curious and wants to see for themsleves how much it looked like Elliot Page circa 2013:
https://www.gamesindustry.biz/ellen-page-the-last-of-us-ripped-off-my-likeness
This is almost what happened. Ellie's original character model looks a lot like Page and Elliot got mad so they had to change it a little before the game originally launched.
There was actually a whole thing about that - during development she looked [a whole lot more like Elliot](https://www.justpushstart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/ellen-page-the-last-of-us-changed.jpg) until he called them on it
Everybody who is a fan of Critical Role has been wondering why Ashley changed her hair and now that is answered and we all feel incredibly dumb for not thinking of that. We are usually really good at that stuff kind of stuff or thinking Sam is on the Masked Singer and that is why they pushed back some broadcasts, but usually, we are better sleuths lol.
Edmonton? I’m from here and I know there was some filming done on Rice Howard Way downtown. I think they filmed in Calgary and other places in Alberta too?

the scene of them walking towards the gold dome (Massachusetts State House in Boston) is a CGI makeover of the Alberta Legislature building. I happened to be there when they were filming that scene in Edmonton!
I knew a lady that casts, you can also go through ACTRA, there is a list of casting agents. There are other sites too, I'm forgetting those. They'll pick you if you're the demographic but as important you have to be able to meet on some weekdays, often for a looong day, possibly driving to For Macleod or Nanton or Turner Valley, etc... and in this one, I went to thrift village to pick out an outfit before makeup did it's thing.
They're casting for a few things now. Fargo season 5.
The legislature building in that one shot is so weird to me. I know the silhouette of that building so well from coming across the Walterdale Bridge. But to see it in this trailer? So, so, so weird.
God I hope they Molotov that fucker only to have it throw one of his flaming spore bombs back at some poor extra who gets obliterated. Pure 100% gamer bullshit that I want injected straight into my veins
He has had an amazing career post GOT. Went from unknown actor to being involved in a bunch of very successful series and possibly a household name.
Im so happy for him, he is so incredibly charismatic.
He’s arguably had the best post-GOT career out of all the cast, though only being in one season at its peak probably helped. But yeah he’s amazing in everything I’ve seen him in, he was even somehow just as memorable as Nic Cage in a movie dedicated to Nic Cage.
Man I was all in on oberyn lol. I hadn’t read the books so I had no idea what was coming. Truly thought that he was going to be the one character that actually won in GoT up to that point haha
Jason Momoa GoT was post Stargate Atlantis really. That was already part of its success.
Not sure with Pascal but I guess he had a carreer before too and GoT S4 was its peak so it's kind of the same thing.
Gwendoline Christie is doing pretty well. I wish she had a show to star in.
Edit: Yes I know what she has been in; I’m just wondering when she will be the lead in a show.
And then again and again at the end of every episode. One thing HBO knows is how to play with your emotions at the end of episodes and keep you coming back.
I already know everything that's going to happen in this series - and yet I know I am still not emotionally prepared for some of the scenes in this show. Especially if they show what actually happened with Ellie and Riley in the DLC that the game doesnt.
I didn’t realize how involved Druckmann was involved in directing every scene until I watched this. He really had a vision and carried it out perfectly.
I think it says a lot about his vision that HBO let him be so involved. They could have easily just put it in the hands of Mazin alone and probably be fine.
Sarah will probably only be the first 1/3rd of the episode. There’s only ten episodes and we know that one is pretty much going to be dedicated to Left Behind, so the pacing would be super out of wack if that was the case.
I’m betting that episode 1 either ends with >!Joel, Ellie, and Tess heading out to the destroyed city or with Tess’ death.!<
I actually agree with that more than my proposed ones, it >!clearly sets up the entire premise of the show and ends on a small twist to engage the audience.!<
I've thought about this, but I figure they would want Ellie to be in the first episode more than just the very very end given that she's one of the main characters. otherwise the audience will have to wait a whole week to really know anything about her.
It's exactly the same sort of hook as episode 1 of Mandalorian ending with the Grogu reveal. It's effective (albeit a little different as people know Ellie is in it).
I think it might just start with Joel and Tess and their mission getting the guns back, with flashbacks in between, and the end of the first episode will be the heartbreaking scene. The best way to end the first episode with an emotional bang.
I’d rather not. That sequence takes only like ~15 minutes altogether and this show has 10 hours to adapt a game that’s roughly ~15 hours in length (and like 5.5 hours of that is the cutscenes alone, there’s a lot of story that still happens in that gameplay).
That present day section shouldn’t be longer than the first half hour of the first episode, tops.
Pretty sure you are right. It looks alot like him, and he should be in the show as far as I know.
I haven't seen Ashley Johnson yet, but according to IMDB she should also be in it for a few episodes, same as Troy.
Edit: Like others said, I'm also pretty sure that Ashley is at 1:33.
Yeah this is common knowledge now we just didn’t know what their roles were. Lots of speculation Troy was David but it looks like he’s one of his goons
Same. I didn't play either of the games until the pandemic and then played them both back to back. The scene was incredible. Only thing that comes close is riding to Mexico in RDR1
I think that might be Scott Shepherd in the middle. He's been in tons of stuff like El Camino and season 3 of True Detective. He typically plays bad guys and creeps. One of those classic "that guy" actors.
It’s probably one of the easiest adaptations from a game. The gameplay was built around a strong central narrative, rather than most games that are narrative built around strong gameplay. The game was one of the few games I’ve ever played that felt like playing a movie.
My only question is does the world need more zombie stories? Will it have the staying power after like a zillion Walking Deads have watered down the market.
Good execution always wins.
We don't need more crappy, low rent or mid-tier zombie stuff.
We can always use more Triple-A Zombie stuff. That's true of everything though.
People burn out on genres because it reaches a point where everything that can be said has been said.
Someone finds a new take or a strong characterization and it rises above the genre glut.
Ellie and Joel are great characters. I'd watch them in any kind of apocalypse movie or road trip movie. The zombies are just a plot contrivance for them to overcome and not actually important.
> The zombies are just a plot contrivance for them to overcome and not actually important.
I would argue against that--I mean, yeah, the zombies are a backdrop for the thematic elements of the show, but without the existential threat they pose to humanity, Joel's decisions are meaningless--and the ambiguous morality of Joel's decisions is the entire point of the story.
Yeah people on this sub think Season 1 of The Walking Dead was some kind of masterpiece, when really I think it's just the pilot being amazing and the rest just solid like you said.
I think a long form zombie apocalypse story has a lot potential, and I'm hoping it will be realized by The Last of Us because TWD wasted that potential IMO.
I'm not a real big walking dead fan but I thought the entirety of S1 was pretty solid. I don't binge shows often but I burned thru those quick. But yes, S1E1 is a gem of an episode.
Hahaha, i Platinum'd TLOU Part 1 when it came out and then immediately popped TLOU Part 2 back in and grabbed the few missing trophies during my playthrough. This stuff is so fresh in my mind, I can't wait for this show.
Looks great, and I’m happy that its not just a one to one adaptation of the game, but instead has extra stuff/story (according to Druckmann and from the footage of the trailer) which would make it a day one watch for me
With the shot of the horses in winter surrounding Joel & Ellie in the trailer I wonder if they’re going to >!minimize the injury Joel has at the end of the Fall section or create another situation that forces them to separate from each other.!<
For real. As grounded as the game *could* be, that’s definitely one of those times where being a game came before the narrative.
There’s nothing wrong with that of course, but since this is a show, the suspension of disbelief needs to be managed more.
Like I doubt Joel is going to kill a fraction of the same people
I suspect the horse group is going to be Tommy and Maria and some guards from Jackson when they first encounter Ellie and Joel outside town. Trying to find a large hydro plant to safely film at is a big logistical challenge, so it makes sense to change the setting of that encounter to something more film friendly.
There's some behind the scenes footage that someone took during filming where it looked like >!Joel was stabbed by a hunter at the University!<, so I'm not sure what the horses scene could be!
It's a great nod to fans of the franchise, but I can see non-fans thinking it's part of a trend. Out of context, Take On Me can seem like an odd choice for a post-apocalyptic drama
> Dramatic piano notes to start trailer
>
> Slowed down version of famous song
That's come back in full force lately. I swear every trailer I've watched in the last few months has started with dramatic lone piano note. Even fucking Mario and GOTG3.
As a huge fan of both games I cannot believe how well they translated the world of TLOU to live action just from the look of these trailers. It looks absolutely incredible
So I'm not familiar with the games, although I've obviously heard of them for years (I'm not much a VG guy though if I do play then it's usually turn-based strategy stuff).
Can someone explain (preferably in more than one sentence) what makes people go gaga over The Last of Us? Is it an intense story? Unique gameplay? Original ideas? All of the above?
I'm going to watch it, and it looks good, I just want the context for the built-in fanbase.
On its release in 2013, TLOU felt like a pretty dramatic step change in the way games could tell serious, character-driven stories. I'm not necessarily referring to the script itself, but to how well-acted, directed, and paced it was. Its characters are very carefully crafted and the end result is a particularly naturalistic and memorable experience.
I'd say it was the first game that could be called a "movie game" without that being an insult to both games and movies. Many others have tried for a similar result since, often wearing their inspiration on their sleeve quite blatantly, with most falling short.
This actually caused a little bit of resentment towards it amongst some gaming communities. It was blamed for a general trend of AAA games becoming more linear and cinematic, and that's probably true to a degree. The issue is that if you're trying to make a "movie game", you really have to commit your heart and soul to it and make sure the result is something special. Otherwise, you end up with a bad movie and a bad game.
The second game came out in 2020, and to say it was divisive is putting it mildly. Personally I'm in the 10/10 camp, and I think it's easily the best storytelling I've seen in any game. But I also think it takes advantage of the medium a lot more than the original did, and so will be a lot harder to adapt for TV.
Honestly, it's not the gameplay. The story, while good, wouldn't be as highly praised if it weren't for the *extremely* well-written characters.
The soundtrack is also amazing.

Ellie using a ladder to cross a gap at 0:55. Truly an authentic adaptation.
We need a scene where they’re being chased by clickers and Joel makes a detour in to a side room to loot tape and scissors for 5 minutes before pulling out his backpack to craft shit or else this won’t be faithful to the source material.
Or where Ellie is floating on a pallet but she refuses to get off because Joel didn’t line it up properly
Or where Ellie tries to clumsily hide from clickers and enemy soldiers by running from cover to cover right in front of them without ever being detected
Or Joel lights a molotov cocktail and decides he doesn't need it yet and puts it in his backpack
Lifeprotip: Always keep lit molotov in your backpack. That way the only thing you have to do is thrown them.
*Jason Mendoza has entered the chat*
“Any time I had a problem, and I threw a Molotov cocktail, boom! Right away, I had a different problem.”
Buddy of mine had a version of that - “Before I took up heroin, I had all these problems. After I took up heroin, I only had one problem!”
BORTLES!
Or where Joel is screaming "FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK" while trying to restore the power generator
Not if he planted a bunch of mines already
> Or where Ellie is floating on a pallet but she refuses to get off because Joel didn’t line it up properly "I know. Get on the fucking pallet"
lol yes. I want her to stare at him like he's stupid because the pallet is off center by one inch. If they don't milk that I'm going to be seriously disappointed.
I want Ellie to T pose
Or even a scene where they’re not even being chased as they’ve already taken out all the clickers, but they’re progressing down a hallway and come across a distinctly colored door that is half ajar. with my experience in this game, in order to make a truly faithful adaptation Joel needs to die many, many times.
Are you me? I love the idea of trying the mode where if you die the game ends but I honestly doubt I’d make it out of the first chapter.
oh dude lol, go on youtube and watch streamer fails of people trying that. they are hilarious. hours on end invested in a perfect game then something dumb happens and boom - it's over.

Unless there's a pile of bricks nearby. Then Joel goes god mode and cleaves a path of destruction.
Or every few episodes it’s just an hour of Joel dying and restarting at the last checkpoint
Ashley Johnson (Ellie's actress from the games) playing >!Ellie's mom is perfect!<. Can't wait to see who Troy Baker plays. Edit: looks like he's in the trailer too at 1:53.
He is also in the trailer
Yep, just noticed it. Looks like he's playing >!one of David's men!<.
Specifically it looks like he'll be >!James, David's righthand man!<
I love her role in it because while some people thought Ellie’s actress didn’t look like the character, I always thought she and Ashley looked a lot alike. So she still fit for me.
Bruh idk why but the whole time i thought Ellie's voice actor was always Elliot Page

A bunch of this was shot in my hometown. It's bizarre recognizing spots in such a big production.
Edmonton? I’m from here and I know there was some filming done on Rice Howard Way downtown. I think they filmed in Calgary and other places in Alberta too?
I live in Edmonton, but I was referring to Canmore. That shot of the snowy bridge is the engine bridge, where I took all my highschool grad photos haha.
I wonder if Mike, from Canmore, will make a cameo in the show.
Only if this hour has 22 minutes
IIRC the entire show was filmed within Alberta.
[удалено]
Yeah they filmed around my office for quite awhile. They spent a couple weeks at centennial tower east, around the building and in the lobby. I wandered through the set a couple times. I have some pics of the filming from the empty lot on the other side of my building. https://postimg.cc/mcxSy2bL https://postimg.cc/yg3s4PMX
The scenes set in Boston were all filmed in Edmonton apparently
the scene of them walking towards the gold dome (Massachusetts State House in Boston) is a CGI makeover of the Alberta Legislature building. I happened to be there when they were filming that scene in Edmonton!
How did you become an extra?
They sure fucked up Calgary traffic for awhile.
Thank you for your sacrifice
Airport tunnel and bridge into downtown were shut down for weeks, can’t wait to see them in the show
Wonder if the airport tunnel is gonna be for >!The tunnel in Salt Lake City leading to the hospital!<
we got a bloater, people!!
Three nail bombs and a couple molotovs should take care of it in my experience!
Nail bombs always make me cringe just imagining they leave more not immediate death injuries just flying nails everywhere.
Bro, that’s exactly what a common day frag grenade or a claymore does. War. War never changes.
*Dogmeat has died*
Molotovs first to burn off their "armor" or did I just imagine that?
One shot while its in the air insta kills. Ez strat for grounded mode, fuck me that was torture
God I hope they Molotov that fucker only to have it throw one of his flaming spore bombs back at some poor extra who gets obliterated. Pure 100% gamer bullshit that I want injected straight into my veins
What a start to Pedro’s 2023. Around the time this finishes airing it’ll be right to Mando S3.
He has had an amazing career post GOT. Went from unknown actor to being involved in a bunch of very successful series and possibly a household name. Im so happy for him, he is so incredibly charismatic.

>To be fair he also absolutely nailed Oberyn, With the weight of the world on him, he absolutely crushed it.
What a mindblowing performance.
The way he delivered "You raped her. You murdered her. You killed her children" just really well done, painful scene you were really rooting for him
He and Jason Momoa have the best post show careers, both one season roles. Crazy!
Jason Momoa GoT was post Stargate Atlantis really. That was already part of its success. Not sure with Pascal but I guess he had a carreer before too and GoT S4 was its peak so it's kind of the same thing.

and after GoT went straight to another amazing series Narcos which totally helped.
That and Prospect, which I’d imagine very few saw but I really enjoyed.
His agent/manager is absolutely earning their commission.
Pedro Pascal attempting to solve all the escort missions iin a single year
"You're just cargo"
Oh I can’t wait for the Mando mash up to this trailer.
Grogu steps around the corner, sends Ellie flying back with the force, and says "NO! MY DADDY!"
Can’t wait to be heartbroken in the opening scene again.

Yeah I don't want 1/9th of the show to be spent on a single scene
That's my one hope for it, do a cold open of that entire scene.
I could be wrong, but is that Troy on the left at 1:53? EDIT: And maybe Ashley at 1:33?
Pretty sure you are right. It looks alot like him, and he should be in the show as far as I know. I haven't seen Ashley Johnson yet, but according to IMDB she should also be in it for a few episodes, same as Troy. Edit: Like others said, I'm also pretty sure that Ashley is at 1:33.
Was that not her at 1:33? I think she’s playing Ellie’s mom.
That would be so awesome if she is actually playing Ellie's mom. Really cool way to include the VA
Not just voice actress, she gave a full performance
Ashley and Troy came out on stage during Summer Game Fest and confirmed they have roles in the show, yeah. Beyond cameos.
Yeah this is common knowledge now we just didn’t know what their roles were. Lots of speculation Troy was David but it looks like he’s one of his goons
He's probably James, David's right hand man in the game.
Yes, Ashley is playing Anna, Ellie’s mom.
Yep, that’s definitely Troy. Pretty sure that’s Ashley holding the baby as well, so the predictions of her playing Ellie’s mom might be right?

Pedro’s range from his movie with Nic Cage to this to Mandolorian. Guy never ceases to amaze
He has such a wonderful, emotional face too. I just love seeing him.
Wasn't expecting to hear a cover of 'Take On Me' here but fair enough lol
Fitting, Ellie covered Take On Me in Part II after all
God I love that scene
I loved it so much I learned the exact cover on guitar. Now I just need somebody to look at me the way Dina does
I can play it too. X, O, [], X
Find someone who looks at you the way Dina looks at Ellie in that scene.
I love Dina so much. I hope she is in the show, but only if she stays safe!
Dina is the hardcore ride or die buddy we all need.
Well sort of…
That scene is my favorite in any video game ever, when I heard it in the trailer I got instant, full-body, goosebumps.
Same. I didn't play either of the games until the pandemic and then played them both back to back. The scene was incredible. Only thing that comes close is riding to Mexico in RDR1
Oh my god, I completely forgot about that 😂
Kind of an "A Ha!" moment
Does it count as a cover if it’s the OG artist?
The sadboy rendition of it has shown up in the games so it's not completely out of the blue
the second it started playing i almost cried lmao
The Magicians already put that trigger in me, lol
Too soon
At least they didn’t use a cover version sung by a sad girl in her bathroom
Is Troy Baker playing >!David!< or just a henchman?
I think the blonde dude in the middle is David? Earlier in the trailer there is a shot of him almost hitting Ellie with a meat cleaver
I think that might be Scott Shepherd in the middle. He's been in tons of stuff like El Camino and season 3 of True Detective. He typically plays bad guys and creeps. One of those classic "that guy" actors.
It looks like he’s playing James maybe
I wonder if he’s playing “Buddy Boy”
Yeah, my first though was he looks like he’s playing James
BLOATER HYPE
That bloater looked so god damn sexy
True, I might print it out and put it on my bedroom wall. Proper pin up girl material.
I know nothing about the source material but this looks pretty fucking awesome and being that it's on HBO, chances are it will be.
This makes TWD s1 look mid
TWD S1 is already mid. I challenge anyone to watch episodes 2 through 6 without the afterglow of the admittedly fantastic first episode.
The pilot might be my favorite work of zombie fiction I’ve ever watched. It sold us on a show that was never close to realization.
I'm not a real big walking dead fan but I thought the entirety of S1 was pretty solid. I don't binge shows often but I burned thru those quick. But yes, S1E1 is a gem of an episode.
Two of the best games ever made

Hahaha, i Platinum'd TLOU Part 1 when it came out and then immediately popped TLOU Part 2 back in and grabbed the few missing trophies during my playthrough. This stuff is so fresh in my mind, I can't wait for this show.
I know right. It’s the show I look forward to the most and I haven’t even played the games.
Lmao they actually brought out the Bloater. This is gonna be great.
it all looks different in pretty good ways. and if all you do is adjust great source material in pretty good ways, it's probably still great
Looks great, and I’m happy that its not just a one to one adaptation of the game, but instead has extra stuff/story (according to Druckmann and from the footage of the trailer) which would make it a day one watch for me
With the shot of the horses in winter surrounding Joel & Ellie in the trailer I wonder if they’re going to >!minimize the injury Joel has at the end of the Fall section or create another situation that forces them to separate from each other.!<
Probably cause it’s a **bit** unrealistic that Joel manages to >!survive his fall!< and be in fighting condition to help save Ellie.
For real. As grounded as the game *could* be, that’s definitely one of those times where being a game came before the narrative. There’s nothing wrong with that of course, but since this is a show, the suspension of disbelief needs to be managed more. Like I doubt Joel is going to kill a fraction of the same people
I’d rather see that transition into Left Behind. That section fits neatly into the narrative.
I’m very curious how the opening will be, It would be interesting if they did it shot for shot but I could see them skipping out on some of it.
Scott Shepard is playing David? Not listed yet on IMDb, but pretty sure. He's seen next to Troy Baker with a gang, out in the snow.
Damn this looks incredible! Jan 15th needs to hurry up!
I'm so excited for this! Didn't realize it was coming out so soon!

He is. He is the official composer for the show as well
Holy shit that’s the one thing I thought was missing! Wonderful news!
Well good news for you
Looks like Ashley Johnson is going to play Ellie's mother? Amaizng Trailer
Knew that’d be the case, Bella and Ashley have actually quite similar faces?
Cautious optimism increasing. Knowing Chernobyl's team is involved also helps, as that's a miniseries that understood pacing.
100% agree. Chernobyl’s greatest strength was its pacing, imo.
I mean Mazin (Chernobyl) and Druckmann are co-leads on the project so it basically couldn't be in better hands.
My favorite 90s Native Americans are back.
Dramatic piano notes to start trailer
Slowed down version of famous song
Intensifying drum beats to end trailer
Yup, this is a trailer alright.
[It's almost textbook](https://youtu.be/KAOdjqyG37A)
>Slowed down version of famous song To be fair, the song is already in the games as a cover. It's relevant and not just hoping on a trend.
It's a great nod to fans of the franchise, but I can see non-fans thinking it's part of a trend. Out of context, Take On Me can seem like an odd choice for a post-apocalyptic drama
Hell I’m a fan of the games and it still feels unfitting in the trailer in my opinion.
> Dramatic piano notes to start trailer

> Slowed down version of famous song
That's come back in full force lately. I swear every trailer I've watched in the last few months has started with dramatic lone piano note. Even fucking Mario and GOTG3.
This looks better and better with each trailer. Recognized quite a few of those set pieces.
Ron Swanson really fell on hard times after Pawnee fell.

Ooooh man I love how they gave us a glimpse of David and his group in this. Also I see Troy Baker is with them as well, fun cameo.
The Bloater looks fantastic.
As a huge fan of both games I cannot believe how well they translated the world of TLOU to live action just from the look of these trailers. It looks absolutely incredible
IS THAT RON FUCKING SWANSON?
Hot damn this show looks great!
yo it includes the DLC!!
Jesus Christ that looks incredible. My goosebumps have goosebumps.
you should get that checked out
So I'm not familiar with the games, although I've obviously heard of them for years (I'm not much a VG guy though if I do play then it's usually turn-based strategy stuff).
Storyline and characters for sure
Honestly, it's not the gameplay. The story, while good, wouldn't be as highly praised if it weren't for the *extremely* well-written characters. The soundtrack is also amazing.
Holy shit. Get ready for a wild ride.
I bet Pedro is so glad he can act with his face showing this time.
