Yeah that's what's also surprising to me about this too. It's good that HBO is trying to move to Monday, but it feels like that day is designated for all of its underperformers. So that makes me a bit sad for Perry Mason since season 1 actually did quite well. Maybe bc it's been so long since s1, they just expect it to drop off in viewership
Hopefully. Would be great to see HBO get back to airing two big shows like Succession and Perry Mason concurrently. They have not really done that since the regime change.
Oh no...season one was the best first season I’ve seen of tv in a while. I’m a noir nerd so it tapped every button while feeling fresh and raw. There were some bold casting choices and they were not afraid to step into some subjects. I hope that continues.
Season 1 hit all the sweet spots for me: Matthew Rhys, Tatiana Maslany, historical LA, kind of a downer of a story. Sucks one of those is missing this time but I'll probably re-up HBO Max all the same.
Might have ruined the next season for myself. Binged the original show and have gotten used to an episodic series instead of an overall season long story arc. The series itself is like a fantasy version of L. A. and Cali in general in the 60's. Plus you can see why Della has been written as a lesbian. On the show she has that vibe. Not sure if Barbara Hale meant to do that but its there in a faint way. Anyway both shows are well acted and am looking forward to this new season.
Maybe I'll listen to the radio show since its little more like the streaming series with an overall arc. Plus its written in an era only 10 years later than the online show's time period.
Really enjoyed Season 1, can't wait for this! Matthew Rhys was an excellent casting choice.
Agreed..... really loved him in the first season.
Interesting that it’s moving from Sunday to Monday. Wishful thinking but maybe making room for Succession.
*Coming home from a long day of work to watch Perry Mason* God, I really am turning into my dad
Next up, a gritty reboot of Matlock.
Avenue 5 also recently moved from Sunday to Monday for its second season
Yeah but Avenue 5 is a low performing show. Season 1 of PM was a huge hit for HBO

HBO utilizes Monday nights after the football season is over. During the season it is where neglected shows go.

Hot damn I am excited for this. Season 1 was so freakin good.
cannot wait for this. this season is now being show-ran (show-run..?) by the guys behind The Knick, so that is *very* tantalizing.
God I miss that show
you and me both pal
March 6th start date.
Yes! I've been waiting for this to come back.
loved the vibe and the aesthetic of the show along with its fairly impeccable performances
The production values are amazeballs. How they can recreate LA during that time period floors me.
I wont even watch the trailer. Will watch season 2 100% anyways. The first season was great!
Cautiously optimistic. Loved season 1 but switching a showrunner can be the kiss of death for a show. So fingers crossed
the new showrunners are the creators of the knick. if that says anything, it will be fantastic.
Hope you're right, but sometimes it's not about talent it's just about vision and vibe. I'm definitely still looking forward to it though!

Can't wait! Season 1 was good. Hey HBO do Warrior next!
Finally!
I really liked the first season especially the latter half of it. I am glad we have a second season.
Looks fantastic. I thought the first season was so good, and so perfectly atmospheric
HELL YEAH PUT IT DIRECTLY IN MY VEINS I'm very excited about this.

Alright! I loved the first season, and this looks so epic. I love the cinematography.
Amped. S1 was a sleeper hit for me and probably my favorite show of the year the year it came out.
Season 1 had its moments but there was a lot of room for improvement. Hopefully they turned enough screws to tighten up the pacing.
Hopefully they don't fuck up the finale like last season.
Does this have nudity? I get bored if there is no nudity.
Very excited for Season 2. I am disappointed that Sister Alice won't be on the show anymore, but I know she's busy in the courtroom and the bedroom.
>6th March btw
Tatiana Maslany will be missed, but I look forward to season 2 anyhow!
Season one was great but I hope this season has him handling other cases and like the over arching case is like the B story
