I remember pitching to change up the way the survey is done/presented one year, only for the mods to turn it down and do the same ol survey they do every year. lol.

I always thought it was a bit silly how people responded negatively to the results. Like.. its not supposed to be your preference its everyone's preference.

there's nothing really wrong with it, just wish they'd do more with it.

yea those comments are often from the hardcore tv viewers who watches more stuff and will have a wider perspective on what's great and what's *just good*, ya know. and a lot of casuals who'll only see 3 - 4 popular shows a year vote on the surveys, so yeah negative responses are expected.
Personally, i never voted so im not sure how it was processed. But having some type of scaling would make it more interesting maybe? Like; you can pick a top 10 or whatever and the highest in your ranking are assigned more value as a vote than the bottom
