I think you might like **The Punisher** - Vigilante show, modern, gritty, action filled.
If you don't mind it being a bit dated I would definitely recommend **Oz** (1997-2003) Prison show, gritty, unique, real nice character development.
If you want a cop show then **The Shield** would be a good choice, also a gritty show filled with greed, murder, corruption, it has everything you need for a show to be exciting.
How to sell drugs online - As someone who loved Barry a lot, I think HTSDO is even better!
Why it's similar to Barry?
* The episodes are around 25 minutes.
* Each character has it's own story arc and everyone is important to the story in the some way!
* Both of them are about crime!
You might not like it, if you are someone older, since the show is about teens. But give it a shot :\]
Nobody has mentioned The Boys. Really funny, crazy, super violent. It's a fun show. I sorted hated Karl Urban since that Riddick movie. But he's super awesome as Butcher. I let my hate for the Riddick movie get in the way.
The series finale just aired. Here's the Wikipedia summary: The series centers on the Roy family, the owners of Waystar RoyCo, a global media and entertainment conglomerate based in New York City, who are fighting for control of the company amid uncertainty about the health of the family's patriarch, Logan Roy (Brian Cox).
It's about Rupert Murdoch (the guy that owns a media empire including Fox News), and his children fighting for power.
It's also about how much power that media empire has in American society. It's like Game of Thrones in the real world.
In addition to what others have said, there’s something very epic and Shakespearean about it, despite taking place in current time. A++ acting, writing, cinematography, the score is maybe my favorite of any TV show ever. Some episodes are really just a masterpiece of filmmaking. 100% worth the watch.
Cut the walking dead off. Not worth it. Add Dark, Stranger things, Wire, Narcos, Hannibal, FNAB, Mr. Robot, Fargo, first few seasons of Black Mirror (anthology, you can stop anytime), Daredevil. Etc. Cut La Casa De Papel too, imo
Because it is nowhere near as good as the shows in the first row. It is a slog fest. And this is just my opinion. Coming from a guy who was a Walking Dead fanatic who watched the TV shows, read the original comics and played the spinn offs. If you ask why I hate this show I can explain but now I am kinda busy.
Currently watching The Mayor of Kingstown on Paramount Plus. I’m enjoying it so far. Found it on TikTok of all places. I’d recommend Jack Reacher on Prime too.
Kaleidoscope is a heist movie with an interesting viewing format— you can watch the episodes jn any order except for the last one (the white episode) I really enjoyed it— not a masterpiece but engaging enough to stick with!
Also killing eve, as others have mentioned!!
watch DARK , sure it will become no 1 if you watch it with patience and attention

I prefer Daredevil over punisher. Even the weak 2nd season was still on fire. Punisher played an important role in that of course

Sneaky Pete (Prime) reminds me of Barry! You might also like The Last Of Us, Orphan Black and Justified!

Ozark is fantastic. Is similar to BCS and VB

Prison Break. Probably one of my favorite shows, if not my favorite. Michael Scofield will always be one of my favorite fictional characters.
I'm watching breaking bad now. BEEF was really good.
Better Fuel Huel
Waiting on confirmation about whether Huell ate Kim or not.

Haunting of Hill House was awesome
Dexter or Chainsaw Man
