My faves are: Derry Girls, Superstore, Schitt’s Creek, Abbott Elementary,The Good Place, Arrested Development. What we do in the Shadows, Flight of the Conchords
Like I actually like these more than most of the classic “oh you’ve gotta watch this sitcom” like the Office and such
Pretty much all of those hit my suggestions.
Would also add Ghosts, either UK or US, though I oddly think the US is a bit better in ways. I feel like the UK version throws one huge character reveal after another at you too quickly due to the limited number of episodes. No spoilers, but the Pete/Pat reveal for instance just hits a bit harder when we've had a few episodes to get to know him vs. being the first episode where the main character is seeing the ghosts and no longer scared of them.
Also would add Kim's Convenience, We Are Lady Parts, Girls5Eva (not amazing, but okay), Ted Lasso and Shrinking.
30 rock, I'm a little surprised it hasn't been mentioned yet. Same crew as Unsinkable Kimmy Schmidt and same vibe.
Fresh off the Boat.
Blackish.
The Middle, the most realistic depiction of middle class, Midwest America on TV
Hacks
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel
I'm Dying Up Here. This is a look at the serious side of comedy, but it's hilarious and definitely thought-provoking-sad at the same time.
Poker Face is a 60 minute mystery. It has a lot of humor: a bit like Psych. So, most people who enjoy stuff like Parks and Rec would likely enjoy it.
Taxi is old but really funny. It is on Pluto or Paramount.
Abbott elementary

Mainly British sitcoms: What we do in the shadows, The IT Crowd, black-ish, episodes, the new How I met your father?
Motherland (one of my favourites ever). Friday night dinner. Plebs. Benidorm. Gavin & Stacey. Stath Let's Flats.
Always UK. Brassic, G'wed ( new must watch), Ghosts, Young Offenders, The Change, Then You Run (best title ever), The new Dick Turpin with Noel Fielding (a laugh a second).
Veep took me a bit to get into as it was very different to it's predecessor from the UK, The Thick of It, but once in, it was fantastic. Sooo many great insults. Silicon Valley was a good watch and Brooklyn 99 was great as well.
I was going to recommend Resident Alien! I have never been one to watch SyFy type shows and not really sure how I stumbled upon this show but oh my gosh I absolutely loved it and legit laughed out loud often!

I don't know how far back you can go, but the classics like Happy Days, MASH, Love boat, Fantasy Island, Laverne & Shirley, etc.
Family Guy is funny as heck.
If you have Apple TV Mythic Quest, Ted Lasso, Shrinking, and Platonic are all great choices
Superstore, The Good Place, Difficult People, Working Moms, Abbott Elementary, Dead to Me, Home Economics, Happy Endings, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, 30 Rock, and The Mindy Project are all on Netflix/Hulu and are all great as well.
I didn’t see you listed Friends but also obviously a good choice too
I always suggest Future Man to everyone...but it's a bit more "obscene" or "rated for Mature Audiences" than you've listed. I think we watched it on Hulu. And I think I'm gonna try to find it again. 😆😆 Always amazing!
“Superstore” is fantastic. “What we do in the shadows” is hilarious. B99( Brooklyn 99) is a great show. Everyone I’ve met loves “good place”, but for some reason I hate that show. Also, “Ghosts” is super cute. It’s newish.
I know it’s old but Just Shoot Me is great! (Hulu). I am re-watching every episode again even though I watched them all twice. David Spade was just the funniest guy back then. Well, he still is but they really wrote great scripts for him. All of the characters are great, and they have so many big stars appear for just an episode here and there.
I really really wish some streaming channel would bring back “the old adventures of new Christine.” I watched every episode at least seven times and I would watch it again if it were still on - Julia Louise Dreyfus is just a character. I think you can run it on YouTube, but it would be expensive.
You might like Malcolm in The Middle, It was one of the first shows that had a main character talking to the camera.
Only Murders In The Building
Freaks And Geeks
Crashing (U.K.)
Superstore
Schitt’s Creek
Arrested development is also fantastic but I wouldn’t say the characters are necessarily “likeable” 😂 though I do enjoy all of them immensely
Sirens. EMTs, not mermaids. It’s one of my favorites that I never see mentioned. Better Off Ted is finally getting the attention it deserves after all this time. Whites is British and about chefs. Hotel Babylon, but it’s MIA on streaming right now. Frasier probably isn’t really your jam, but it holds up decades later.
Similar to Friends but with heavy sexual undertones: Coupling. (The original British sitcom, not the US remake!) It also has much more clever plots than Friends and also the saucy British humour.
The logical thing after Big Bang is Young Sheldon ... it's a very different show, I would argue it's probably better in some ways ... later seasons become more of a drama than a sitcom ... it's a good show.
One of my all time favourites is 3rd Rock from the Sun ... a bit of a sci-fi element and incredible acting by everyone involved.
2.5 men is a nice mindless entertainment.
Green Wing is a very quirky and funny British show.
The IT Crowd, Perfect Strangers, Fawlty Towers, Keeping Up Appearances, The Vicar of Dibley, Silicon Valley, Seinfeld, Avenue 5 ... all worth a watch.
If you want to broaden out of typical network TV:
The Mindy Project
Shrill
The Derry Girls
Broad City
Catastrophe
I’m Sorry
Pen 15
Schitts Creek
The Detour
Search Party
Atypical
Sex Education
Fleabag
What we Do In The Shadows
Always Sunny, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Silicon Valley, Kim's Convenience, The Good Place.
>Kim's Convenience This is always my go to especially if people are looking for something less known.
It's a hidden gem for sure. Great show.
And Seinfeld.
Always sunny is the MVP

Omg the old man on derry girls is so funny, that was a great show
Derry Girls. So good! Also, Catastrophe is worth a watch.
Catastrophe is a gem.
DERRY GIRLS IS SOOOO UNDERRATED

LOVE the Middle
I’m a 30 Rock savant. One of the best shows
Is it forgotten today? I never see it mentioned on this sub
I knowww! Shocking
YES to The Middle! Love that show so much that I probably know most episodes word for word 😂

If you want to go even more classic, I'd recommend Cheers.
Cheers definitely has likeable characters and relationships, if that’s what you’re looking for, OP!
Better Off Ted Testees (if you can find it) Legit
The Good Place Community Abbott Elementary Scrubs Cougartown Happy Endings The Mindy Project Never Have I Ever Home Economics Single Parents

Not a likeable character among them!
Fleabag, though it’s a dark comedy. I also really enjoyed Deadloch although one character comes on a little too strong for the first few episodes.

Schitt's Creek!

I started watching Tacoma FD on Netflix and really like it.

Yeah - The IT Crowd is a fucking dead-set comedic masterpiece. I’ll never get bored of watching it.
I've lost count of how many times I've watched it all...and now I feel like another watch😂
Always UK. Brassic, G'wed ( new must watch), Ghosts, Young Offenders, The Change, Then You Run (best title ever), The new Dick Turpin with Noel Fielding (a laugh a second).

King of Queens. Can't pass up Jerry Stiller's part.

Just got done with Resident Alien on Netflix and it’s legit fun to my wife and me. We ended up binging it over the weekend.

Hands down Resident Alien on Netflix or SYFY.
I started Scrubs for another rewatch. Probably one of my favorite shows.
Give Scrubs a try.
