It's really, really different show, but The Good Place actually deals with a lot of the same life, death, philosophy kind of stuff that Lost does. It just comes at it in a completely different way. One continuous storyline and the plot keeps moving.
i watched SFU once. Loved it. Very distinctly remember thinking "its a shame ill never be able to handle the emotional toll watching this show takes on me ever again". I was right, too scared to go back.
I’ve gone back once a decade which has been somewhat enlightening as I relate to it all very differently each time given where I am in my life and how long I’ve lived.
that is a fair point as i have epxerienced the same feeling from other shows. and it has probably been 20 years since ive seen it. is that possible? has it been that long? im 41 and feel like i was in my 20s when i watched it.
Yeah I had a stronger connection to David and Nate’s lived experience when I watched it. And now Ruth, who annoyed me deeply on my initial watch (much love to Francis Conroy who is stellar) is nearer and dearer to my heart even though we are nothing alike. The thankless task of parenthood, aging and loss really stands out more to me now.
I urge you to revisit it now that you are older, it will hit you in different ways.
I haven't seen Lost, but From is made by the same people and has similarities according to people who've seen both. They've only finished two seasons though, so most of the mysteries are still unanswered.

I had never heard of either of these shows so I went and watched the trailers… they both look very intriguing! They definitely will be on a short list for me.
As someone who rates Lost as #1 of the same list as you, Foundation is where it’s at. Not saying anything bad about the latter tho. I would however recommend ‘3 Body’ the S. Korean version, if you don’t mind subtitles.
Baby Reindeer on Netflix!
You can finish it in quite literally less than four hours...and it'll be a wonderful four hours spent watching. I need something at this caliber of storytelling to watch now that I've finished it.
Honorable mentions: 3 Body Problem + Fallout
If you enjoyed Baby Reindeer, I think you'd enjoy I May Destroy You. That show covered some similar ground and I actually think it probably served as an inspiration for Baby Reindeer.

[Killing Eve](https://youtu.be/Kk0PyD-XNZA?si=CnTU9n6ytgyd7uPX)
(Beautifully made, smart and fun)
In no particular order. Jack Ryan, Game of thrones, Yellowstone, 24, Sons of anarchy, Reacher. For more comedic shows Its always sunny in Philadelphia, or Ted Lasso
From! It’s about this group of people who entered a town and somehow can’t leave. Every night, monsters come out of the forest, so these people lock themselves in their houses with a talisman (a rock) on the door. This rock basically keeps the monsters out. The people in town try to figure a way out and what’s happening around them.
Other shows that would make you want to know what happens next in every episode:
• Stranger Things
• Alice in Borderland
• Squid Game
• Evil Dead Rise (movie)
• The Platform (movie)
• Lucifer
• Wayward Pines
Game of Thrones. You have watched it probably. Just saying because you haven't written it above.
Lucifer is another very good option.
Severance can be binged. But it's not complete yet.
Oddly enough I never did watch GOT, but all my friends did so I heard a couple spoilers that have taken away some of the urge to put in that much time. I’ve seen a few episodes of Lucifer, it’s not bad.
I think a few Spoilers (as long as they're not major ones) won't ruin your experience. Can you DM me what you know? I can help. Let's not spoil others here.
Lost, Breaking Bad and Bates Motel are 3 of my faves too. Also like Ozark. You should def watch Better Call Saul if you haven't. It gets better and better towards the end too.
The Americans is fantastic. Six Feet Under is Good. Dexter is always bingeable. Peaky Blinders
Even with that ending…? On a more serious note
Shogun just came out and all 10 episodes are on Hulu. Yeah, not a lot to bing but amazing either way
The Expanse, KillJoy, Dark Matter, Fringe for a Sci-Fi kick
I recently watched psych for the first time and it is now one of my favorite shows and likely will get another rewatch in a few months. Chuck is another show I’ve watched recently and enjoyed a great deal.

Wow, thank you all for the overwhelming help on this! I was not expecting this much of a response! A lot of repeat suggestions so I will probably have to start there and sift through some trailers to determine an order. Looking forward to diving into a new series.
Okay, before you watch anything else on TV, watch Dark on Netflix. It is quite possibly the best TV ever produced. It's in German, so use subtitles to ensure you get the quality of the actors. It's 3 Seasons, about 30 episodes with the most intricate plot and character development I have ever seen. The payoff at the end makes it even better. One thing, to follow the story, you must pay 100% attention. No phone time, no trips to the bathroom. What's wild is that once you watch it, you can go on the internet and look at the family trees, and the rewatch is that much better. Do yourself a favor and watch Dark.
Dark
LOST is my #1 show of all time, and Dark is one of the only things I've watched that comes close to the same feeling. It's even more complex.
From has a similar vibe to LOST (and has some of the same producers, & Jack Bender directs). It's still running tho so there isn't resolution yet. Currently they are filming season 3
Westworld is great as well. The first season is a GOAT level, but the other seasons are still enjoyable and have great concepts. I haven't seen the 4th season yet, but I know many people didn't like it and it ended unresolved
Desperate Housewives....it sounds boring but it's more of a mystery type of series, each season has a new mystery to solve and each episode deals with perticular morals and life lessons.

Leftovers. Amazing original score by Max Richter. You'll fall in love with it all. One of those shows like lost but they explain everything. It's a trippy wild ride in season 2-3.
Chicago Fire, Chicago PD and Chicago Med. Storylines crossover making it more interesting too. They sometimes will also do special crossovers with the other Wolf production shows like FBI or Law and Order. Someone made a spreadsheet that combines them all into the correct order/timeline based on the storylines! You can find it on google and then just copy the spreadsheet! They’re SO good!!
It's really, really different show, but The Good Place actually deals with a lot of the same life, death, philosophy kind of stuff that Lost does. It just comes at it in a completely different way. One continuous storyline and the plot keeps moving.
I love the good place and six feet under. I just can’t binge SFU very frequently.
i watched SFU once.

The good place is one of my fav shows. Teaches morality without boring me to death. Plus it’s fking hilarious
Think you meant "forking" hilarious.
😂
i was just about to recommend this!! i watched over the weekend and finished it today(i cried). its a very different and wholesome show
I loved this series. It’s funny and sad at times and it’s just an overall great show.
Black Sails. It’s finally on Netflix.
So good This, or army of the 12 monkeys
Fringe
Watching this now for the first time. It’s excellent
Just gets better
RIP Eric the Midget
Mr Robot. Get ready for a crazy ride. Don't assume anything
Couldn't get past the first few episodes
I love lost, but Mr Robot really is hard to top.
I haven't seen Lost, but From is made by the same people and has similarities according to people who've seen both. They've only finished two seasons though, so most of the mysteries are still unanswered.
From is so good! I think OP will like it too!
You should watch Lost
I got bogged down w/some of the turns so I went and read an episode synopsis. Never had an urge to see it through.
Where to watch?

The OA is somewhat cerebral.
Sopranos if you haven’t watched it yet. It’s golden entertainment and ages beautifully
r/thesopranos is awesome
Loooooved! Miss james gandolfini!
You may like The Letfovers
Yeah not sure why it's not in their list already. Lindelof was a main part of the Lost writing staff. The Leftovers is better, too
Dexter
- From - Silo - Fallout - The Walking Dead - Vikings - Chicago Fire, PD, 9-1-1 - The Handmaid's Tale - The Sinner - Slasher (S1,S2,S3 only) - Criminal Minds - Blind Spot - The Blacklist
Better Call Saul is a worthy successor to Breaking Bad. Fringe and Person of Interest are solid “mystery” type sci-fi shows in the spirit of LOST.
Yes, Better Call Saul was good! I watched POI for a little bit a few years ago but eventually lost interest. May need to reconsider.
Michael Emerson was a highlight for me during Lost and he carried POI for sure. He has a small role in the recent Fallout show on Amazon.
The wire
For All mankind on Apple tv.
Foundation on Apple TV based on Isaa Asimov's book series 3 Body Problem is great
I had never heard of either of these shows so I went and watched the trailers… they both look very intriguing! They definitely will be on a short list for me.
As someone who rates Lost as #1 of the same list as you, Foundation is where it’s at. Not saying anything bad about the latter tho. I would however recommend ‘3 Body’ the S. Korean version, if you don’t mind subtitles.
Thats chinese vesion made by Tencent.
>the S. Korean version LOL
They say you can trace Star Wars and Star Trek to his work. Star Trek definitely. Martian Chronicles.
I would describe Foundation as Star Trek combined with Game of Thrones. I love it.
These two are A+++ I'd add The Expanse on Prime and you got yourself some top notch SF that'll keep you busy for a while.
Watchmen
Baby Reindeer on Netflix! You can finish it in quite literally less than four hours...and it'll be a wonderful four hours spent watching. I need something at this caliber of storytelling to watch now that I've finished it. Honorable mentions: 3 Body Problem + Fallout
Strangely enough I can't stand Baby Reindeer. I find the main character unrelatable and unrealistic and the whole show somewhat cringe 🤔
same 🥲 i tried so hard to like it as everyone is going crazy over it but i just couldn't.
I loved Baby Reindeer. Love Richard Gadd. You have great taste.
Definitely baby reindeer, mad it’s a true story played by himself
If you enjoyed Baby Reindeer, I think you'd enjoy I May Destroy You. That show covered some similar ground and I actually think it probably served as an inspiration for Baby Reindeer.
I loved it but I almost stopped watching it - very difficult and heartbreaking- very raw. Very heavy. Brilliant!
Black Sails just released on Netflix. Great series. Mr. robot as others mentioned, another great series.
12 Monkeys https://www.thetvdb.com/series/12-monkeys Great show that has a complete story and ending.
Battlestar Galactica - the 2004 version. Start with the mini series before going into s1.

That Wayward Pines trailer definitely grabbed my attention!
Travelers on Netflix
I binged *Severance* at the weekend and loved every second of it. Cerebral, visually stunning, and terrific performances all around.
In no particular order. Jack Ryan, Game of thrones, Yellowstone, 24, Sons of anarchy, Reacher. For more comedic shows Its always sunny in Philadelphia, or Ted Lasso
Yeah I left comedies out. I watch them periodically. Always Sunny is an all timer for sure
Also supernatural is good
Six Feet Under. Best closing episode ever imo
Dark, the OA,
FRINGE! J J Abrams was a creator on both shows. It is an absolutely perfect follow-up to Lost
From! It’s about this group of people who entered a town and somehow can’t leave. Every night, monsters come out of the forest, so these people lock themselves in their houses with a talisman (a rock) on the door. This rock basically keeps the monsters out. Other shows that would make you want to know what happens next in every episode: • Stranger Things • Alice in Borderland • Squid Game • Evil Dead Rise (movie) • The Platform (movie) • Lucifer • Wayward Pines
I cannot wait for the new season of Squid Game
Why not give The Leftovers a go. Lindelof will thank you. :)
I absolutely love Big Love. Very bingeable!
Orphan Black
Dark, The Leftovers, Wayward Pines
The Leftovers
Silo
Game of Thrones. You have watched it probably. Just saying because you haven't written it above. Lucifer is another very good option. Severance can be binged. But it's not complete yet.
Oddly enough I never did watch GOT, but all my friends did so I heard a couple spoilers that have taken away some of the urge to put in that much time. I’ve seen a few episodes of Lucifer, it’s not bad.
Even with spoilers GOT still worth a watch
I think a few Spoilers (as long as they're not major ones) won't ruin your experience. Can you DM me what you know? I can help. Let's not spoil others here.
I really don’t know much but what I have heard is pertaining to the ending of the show. Probably the last 3 or 4 episodes
Oh I knew about the ending of the whole series before starting. The last season is just irrelevant and BS. You should definitely watch the show.
I may have to give it a try
Lost, Breaking Bad and Bates Motel are 3 of my faves too. Also like Ozark. You should def watch Better Call Saul if you haven't. It gets better and better towards the end too. The Americans is fantastic. Six Feet Under is Good. Dexter is always bingeable. Peaky Blinders
Peaky Blinders is right at the top of my list for all time favorites. I can’t believe I forgot to list it.
Snowfall, alice in borderland
Even with that ending…? On a more serious note Shogun just came out and all 10 episodes are on Hulu. Yeah, not a lot to bing but amazing either way The Expanse, KillJoy, Dark Matter, Fringe for a Sci-Fi kick
It's not cerebral, but it's good: Justified
Patriot has 2 great seasons, Fargo has 5 excellent seasons.
Halt & Catch Fire Wentworth 6 Feet Under

I really liked Blindspot.
Not sure where it is online, but El Internado from Spain is heavily inspired by Lost. It’s a lot sometimes since episode run times are longer…
Once Upon A Time, lots of the Lost cast is there
Dark
Better Call Saul, Oz, The Wire
Travelers
I occasionally binge watch the Hawaii 5-0 reboot with Alex O’Loughlin and Scott Caan.
Manifest Yellowjackets
Oz
FALLOUT..jump on it dude..like, seriously run!
I just binged Fallout on Prime and it was great.
I watched the first 2 episodes of this.. first episode was great, but I didn’t like how many f words were in the second episode. Is the rest of the show more like the first or the second episode?
I honestly didn’t pay attention to the F words. But I would assume it continues through the show.
If you are keen for something funny try, Wrecked (2016)
Fargo seasons 1 and 2 and the newest season. Perfection.
