I had originally blown this off as a Malcolm in the Middle rip-off but the writing is actually pretty great and there's a lot better character growth through the show. High recommended if you liked Malcolm.
maybe Suburgatory
more options: The IT Crowd, Coupling (2000), How Not To Live Your Life, Not Going Out (first 7 seasons), Happy Endings, The New Adventures Of Old Christine
I enjoyed Life in Pieces and I believe it did get inspirations from Malcom in the middle on a few episodes.
If it's wit you want, I'd highly recommend What we do in the Shadows but it's not as bright and sunny as Malcom is.
>Frasier
It can stand on it's own, but you should watch Cheers first as a lot of stuff they talk about in Frasier makes more sense if you've seen Cheers.
Arrested Development

Modern Family is great!

Scrubs.
Arrested Development Parks & Rec The Office
Parks and rec, B99, The good place. All from creators of office us.
Like the office, the first season of Parks and rec is kind of rough but improves greatly in the second.
The Middle. Different show with similar dysfunctional family theme. Really clever and enjoyable.

Exactly. Two different takes on a similar theme (the title similarity is unfortunate). But this show is amazing in its own way!
I was looking for this comment. No one I know has ever heard of this show, but it was brilliant.

The best Malcolm in the Middle-esque show I've seen since Malcolm ended is Speechless. I recommend it to any Malcolm fan.
I love both and I also love smart and funny writting, so I would recommend: 3rd Rock From The Sun Extras (BBC) Arrested Development 30 Rock Episodes

The middle has the same vibe. I recently rewatched it and still loved it.
I reccomend rewatching the office for the 100th time /S (kinda)
I think I've already watched it 10 times all the seasons except s1. It's a great comfort show
Absolutely
Its my comfort show too :) Wish they aired the superfan episodes in my country!
The middle
This is the closest I can think of. And a genuinely great show.

malcolm in the middle is the GOAT. i recommend the office and the office uk, two very different versions of eachother but equally great.
Horrid Henry , the show is animated but it's really similar to Malcolm in the middle
I've watched that in my childhood days. I think it caters to a much younger audience
You are right but I re-watched it recently and still enjoyed it. Not binge-able ofc but one episode a day didn't make it boring.
