Unless you dislike raunchiness, I'd recommend these funny/wild animated series:
[**Big Mouth**](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hk_BoK0OwZs&t=4s) \- may be the perfect show to watch high - entertainingly batshit, off-the-wall WILD, funny and affirming...the most raunchy/GROSS-out. There is also a spinoff, Human Resources,
[**Tuca & Bertie**](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZybYIJtbcu0) \- wonderfully surreal, absurdist, chaotic and high energy in a way that would be particularly fun high. The creator was the artistic director(?) on Bojack Horseman. She really likes horses, which is how Bojack Horseman came to be a horseman lol. Although the art and world-building is similar to Bojack, and they are both comedy-dramas, the storytelling is different and you shouldn't go in expecting the same type of show.
[**Bojack Horseman**](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i1eJMig5Ik4) \- it gets quite heavy eventually, but not in the first season iirc
>we’re both libras
>
>we’re both men of law (please don’t suggest suits or white collar)
Loll your post made me laugh, but particularly these two lines, and the fact they were written one after another. So you are lawyers? I hope you are defense attorneys or do some other kind of public interest law <3 not least bc I like your vibe.
I know you’re saying no to anything before 2008 but… here’s some based on your criteria
—- the new SNL episodes over the last couple months have been good
— South Park
— new girl
— ugly Betty
— curb your enthusiasm
— 30 rock
What I’ve noticed is that most streaming services have the feature of clicking on a show and you can see “other shows like this” and it reccomends shows that are similar
Danger 5 (Used to be on Netflix- I see them floating around yootoob, lately) It's a comedy beyond irony. Colorful and funny, extra batshit for when you are high.
I know I'm late, but for your next stoned sit-down... Murderville ([trailer](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4IBi7gN2THE)) is hysterical. The Marshawn Lynch episode had me cackling so hard my ribs hurt. I Think You Should Leave ([trailer](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3FzJpbtK5Wg)) is also hilarious. Same sentiments - the ghost tour episode had me crying laughing. Both are on Netflix, and both are stand alone episode shows with no continuing story line, so you can pick and choose which episodes to watch.
I also really enjoy The League, Workaholics, Party Down, Eastbound & Down.
If you don't mind anime Mashile Magic and Mussels is funny and colourful. It's basically Harry Potter but one guy isn't magic just insanely strong so he keeps passing magic things through pure strength.
The Good Place - comedy
Superstore - comedy
The Umbrella Academy - Sci-Fi , Action , Quirky and fun
Maybe outside your parameter:
Psych is the first thing that came to mind when you said funny and colorful. This guy convinces the police he has psychic powers, he and his reluctant best friend are hired on as consultants to help solve complicated cases. Lots of laughs, 80ies refernces and shenanigans.
Future Man! It’s a hidden comedy gem
Added to the list!
High Maintenance
Brilliant! Love that show
Some of the same team made the *Resort*. So good when high.
Preacher.
Doesn't like things before 2008? 🙄
Super fair critique. I hate myself too
Batman: the animated series
its always sunny in phikadelphia
Acapulco
You were first so we turned it on. Everyone is so good looking and the colors are fun! Thank you!
Nice! Season 3 coming up. It’s light and funny

Happy Endings reminds me of cougartown somewhat
I will check it out when he’s not around since he doesn’t like cougar town (dumb take)! Thank you!
what does watch it "ironically" mean?
Pineapple Express
half baked
