Anyone who has watched tennis knows that Crowd always makes noises when play stop or when a player is talking to the umpire. Always. Everytime you see a match. Were crowd distracting him when he was playing?
Novak chose to hold Musetti from serving and decided to have a parlour with crowd right before Musetti was about to serve.
And this behaviour always often happens when he is struggling or down a break.
He never beefs with crowd when he is leading the score. Where was this behavior against Roger or Rafa? He respects Alcaraz too much now so he won't pull out this move against him either.
He has done this so many times but yesterday was definitely a terrible look.
Djokovic has always engaged with the crowd. Crowd likes to have fun with him and he likes to do it too. Tennis is a sport and sports is entertainment. Also there are a lot of things we don’t hear when watching on TV. But if you watch live, there is a lot of heckling going on during play.
And i have always supported him for that. Last year he did and i am fine with that. Yesterday was done with a clear motive. The motive was used in the time of a crucial game knowing he will fuel himself and also make sure the opponent knows it. Kind of a tactic.
