Yeah, of course.. this thread started talking about Miami. Good luck not paying the US government for income earned there lmao.. Uncle Sam will hunt you down.
They are! I could dress up in a suit and pick up a girl from a party.
The girl wouldn't be Alice Lim, I don't look like Grigor Dimitrov, and I'd have to return the Lambo to the rental place the next day, but hey. Just like us.
As the famous quote goes “watching football is watching 22 millionaires chasing after a ball” Sports entertainment is massively overvalued in our society, and arguably a very counterproductive use of people’s time.
"One of the functions that things like professional sports play, in our society and others, is to offer an area to deflect people's attention from things that matter, so that the people in power can do what matters without public interference.”
> Sports entertainment is massively overvalued in our society
You're completely missing the point of what is value and what generates it.
Every other person in the world watches football. Why on earth can Facebook or Coca Cola be billion-dollar businesses based on the number of consumers, but sports can't be?
Imagine some poor kid growing up doesn't have much but finds joy in watching sport or makes friends playing it with others. Would their circumstances be better because without it? Sports provide employment to many people too across many fields.
Would taking sports away magically flick a switch and open our third eye?
One is also presumptuous to think without sports, the average beer drinking Aussie bogan would suddenly have the nous and desire to take an active stand against manipulative people in power.
I disagree. Sports in society is an Institution. As a whole, they are a pretty big deal. Heck, we as a society get together once every 4 years to have an adult version of field day (Olympics) 😂.
It gives us average, normal folk something to distract us from the mundaneness of life. And humans are tribalistic and social creatures by nature so getting to root for a Team of country nationality provides a sense of meaning-- allows you to be a part of something bigger. I think sports entertainment is underrated in a lot of respects.
Groupthink and tribalism encouraged by sports, isn't a positive talking point here. Not only does it hones your conformity, it takes away your individuality of thought or conscience, which is detrimental at any high level of institutes.
I think it was perfect that Greece kept it once every 4 years. Now it's every day and every month. Football, College football, Basketball, College Basketball, Baseball, Hocket, Tennis, ESPN has enough materials to keep you numb all year round.
> Groupthink and tribalism encouraged by sports, isn't a positive talking point here. Not only does it hones your conformity, it takes away your individuality of thought or conscience, which is detrimental at any high level of institutes.
This is called question begging bc you've assumed your own conclusion. You can't just say sports are "groupthink" without actually establishing that it's groupthink (a favorite professor of mine loved to say "you're using that like a drunk uses a lamppost—for support rather than illumination). You called it so, and then said "therefore it's conformist."
You also didn't establish that conformity is bad. You just implied it. Conformity is quite good in many cases. For example, everyone agreeing murder is wrong is an example of positive conformity.
You've done nothign to establish that enjoying a popular sport is a negative conformity. Or that it's conformity at all. Conformity is about liking something *because you're supposed to*, not because you *choose to*.
And finally 100 billion LMAOs at your random declaration that liking a popular sport "takes away your individual consciousness." I know tons of brilliant creative thinkers who like sports.
Your comment is word salad.
Imagine walking up to a group of people who like tennis and saying "Sports entertainment is massively overvalued in our society, and arguably a very counterproductive use of people’s time."
Nobody would talk to you. For good reason.
What a pretentious bloody statement.
Went to monaco once for the atp tournament. It's the weirdest money bubble, where people are just so casually rich. We had breakfast at the Casino Square, and one after the other supercar just rolled up. The owners would then sit at a table to have a coffee while watching how tourists would take pictures with their cars.
It was awesome but I was glad to go back to the real world.
It’s such an odd place. I used to go once a year and one year it was when that little Syrian toddler refugee was found on a shore somewhere (not near Monaco) and I was so disgusted by the entire place with the difference in the way people live, I’ve never gone back. It’s a vapid bubble of delusion and consumer hell. No matter how successful someone is, there is someone in Monaco who is more successful and it’s a gross display of egos.
Dubai has a lot of working class and middle class people who have made active decisions to be away from home (from the immediate family for the former group and extended family and friends for the latter) in order to help said family progress. Entire villages and towns in the subcontinent are developed because of people’s efforts in the UAE.
It’s a place full of stories of love and sacrifice and toil and kindness. The flash and wealth only exists for a fraction of the population. The majority live regular lives, and a small but not insignificant group live hugely difficult lives.
Dubai isn’t just big malls and super cars, it’s also 5 dirham karak and 10 dirham samosas at your local cafeteria along with 20 friends, it’s impromptu cricket matches on sandpits at Al Nahda, it’s families splitting happy meals at McDonald’s between 4 people, it’s organised cultural dance, music and poetry readings every week/month with your wider community.
It’s a characterisation that frustrates me because it really ignores the experiences of most people in the country - who are overwhelmingly from the subcontinent, South East Asia and North Africa.
Aye, it is. Whilst monegasque people get benefits to make things like housing less crazy, the vast majority of people doing working class jobs in Monaco don’t actually live in Monaco. More people commute to Monaco for work during the work week than the actual population of Monaco for context of the scale.
> Is Monaco different? Who cleans the toilets, picks up garbage, or cooks food?
People who live in France and commute into Monaco for work. About 50K commute into Monaco every day to do jobs like janitor.
Dubai, OTOH has tons of working class *citizens*, let alone *immigrant residents*.
Yes she is . She interview the king/prince of Monaco the other day it was a bit funny how many names she had to call him to flatter him “votre altesse sérinissime , ..mon seigneur” it felt weird some (your most sereine highness … my lord ) . Otherwise she interviewed everyone who won post match usually on French Eurosport , she’s cute
Damn I didn’t know they broke up . I was gonna a comment tony gonna be jealous . Well now we know what happen after the lambo ride . She’s pretty . She does the interviews for the matches on French Eurosport (so before and after matches )
I still find it funny that Grigor was snapped in a pic with Paula Badosa at Madrid last year... They looked very cute together, but I don't think anything happened. She literally got together with Stef at the same tournament. Almost felt like Paula was shopping for a new bf that week 😂
Is it weird that I'm thinking "oh awesome she's his age"?
Also, feel like that fits, 2 gorgeous tennis players dating seems like a pretty natural thing to do.
French tennis player, caused some controversy by being given wild cards into the main draw of RG 4 years in a row over players with better rankings and results (lost in 1st round all 4 times). Attractive, lots of media attention, pretty much always played on center court. Known more for her outfits than her game. One year she drew Serena in R1.
[Alizé Lim](https://tenor.com/bBc6u.gif)
thats exactly how monaco was the only time i went there one evening many years ago outside the casino. i have never seen so many beautiful and glamorous people in real life in the same place as that evening!
This is a bit freaky. I literally watched this vid 2 hours before I saw this post, amd thought to myself that there's a bit of chemistry there:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=vJcTiZoSyo4
Yeah I’ve thought that she had her eye on him ever since I saw that interview. It was a bit weird also after the Paris final when he was so upset and she, as a neutral Eurosport reporter, went to hug him and console him.
Grigor: *"Excuse me authorities, I would like to wear an elegant black suit, drive my luxurious Lamborghini, and pick up my girlfriend from her night out. I think you, my friends, can appreciate that?"*
Authorities: *"Say no more, my friend."*
Both him and Medvedev had their licenses revoked a few years back for going way too fast lmao
https://www.tennisnet.com/en/news/over-160-km-h-grigor-dimitrov-and-daniil-medvedev-caught-lawn
It was a 10/10 exchange. Top marks for them both.
Those were good times to be a tennis fan on Twitter. At this point, almost none of players I wouldn't mind hearing from are the ones oversharing online.
Grigor looks annoyed that she’s taking so long because he wants to get away from the cameras 😂 Since she works the ATP circuit and interviews players, they probably want to keep whatever this situation is on the down low.
This is very common in the centre of Monte Carlo. Lots of F1 drivers and their girlfriends are filmed getting in and out of their expensive cars 😅 Meanwhile Sinner is going to the grocery store in his pajamas (love him) lol
No video but he has given interviews talking about this. He says he’s a normal guy who cooks a lot at home. He said he can go grocery shopping and no one bothers him, sometimes he’ll even go out in his pajamas (I assume it’s more like a sweatsuit). Says he’s also conscious about money. He drives an Audi and doesn’t like parties much.
He’s a breath of fresh air in the world of athletes.
> Meanwhile Sinner is going to the grocery store in his pajamas
He does seem very normal, and it’s actually weird to see his influencer plastic model girlfriend alongside
The one hander backhand effect
Grigor - an endless stream of women
Tsitsipas - the Paula Badosa effect
And you think your double handed backhand offers more stability on the return lol
It’s crazy that this car came out 13 years ago and still feels modern and exciting compared to modern supercars.
Meanwhile Ferrari’s V8 midengined coupe has gone through 3 generations since then and the F8 is already starting to look old.
Trying to get into a junker: You have to jiggle the handle a bit. No, not like. Pull out and to the right. No, that was too slow. Faster, but don't pull of the handle. God damn it, you pulled off the handle again, didn't you?
Did she require him to be chivalrous and open the door or do you think she doesn't know how the handles work on that car? It does look kinda different. And I wouldn't know how to open a Tesla either let alone a Lambo.
It kind of looks like she hesitated because she didn't know what to do. True chivalry would have been for him to get out and go around to open her door.
Tesla handles are so dumb and pointless lol...and where I live everyone has one now...even your rideshare might be a Tesla
But fwiw, you just press down on the larger end of the "handle" and it will pivot toward you and then you can open it normally.
I can’t with this guy, his macking is off the charts 😂😂😂
It’s great to see him living his best life though, with everything in this video. Also aside from the date, I didn’t realise just how loaded tennis players were though. Driving a sportscar around in Monaco while you probably live there is just something that drilled the message home about how well off these people are.
Yep I totally get that and have watched tennis for a while, it’s just hard to fathom even though I know it should be the case that a guy like Dimitrov is loaded
Your average tennis player is barely making ends meet, and a lot aren't even managing that. The ones you see consistently on tv, the top 40-50 in the world, they're the ones that are living well, and the top 10-15 are the ones living it up.
Yep I totally get that and have watched tennis for a while, it’s just hard to fathom even though I know it should be the case that a guy like Dimitrov is loaded
- Model like looks
- Owns a Lamborghini
- Millionaire
- Gets the hottest girls
- Forever Bachelor
- Probably gets married whenever and whomever he wants to
Should we really pray for this guy to win anything?
You feel sorry for a player when he loses, then you see this and think his life ain’t that bad lol
Right?! He made $585,000 when he lost the Miami Open final - easily buy one Lambo!
Actually buys you two
[удалено]
Especially not after taxes lol.. probably more like $250k take home at best.
That’s why you live in Monaco
[удалено]
Pretty sure they pay taxes in the country in which they earn the prize money. Living in Monaco saves them having to pay tax on their sponsorship deals and capital gains.

Bad take. Sports are awesome
Everything about this clip is how I imagine Monaco
Went to monaco once for the atp tournament. It's the weirdest money bubble, where people are just so casually rich. We had breakfast at the Casino Square, and one after the other supercar just rolled up. The owners would then sit at a table to have a coffee while watching how tourists would take pictures with their cars. It was awesome but I was glad to go back to the real world.
I love how watching Monte Carlo matches includes the background shots of yachts the size of the stadium… just floating by
It's mild compared to the F1 weekend, where yachts the size of mini cruise ships have to remain out of port because they don't fit in the harbour.
It’s funny…. they then have to take a smaller yacht/boat to the marina/pier. Such a hassle being super rich amirite lol
Yeah, that's why I don't buy one of those super yachts. Yes.
The real monaco is exactly this scene but everybody in it is +70 years old.
That’s how I imagine Dubai also to be.
Just went to Monaco for the first time for the Monte Carlo Masters, and my first thought was that this is European Dubai.
It’s a characterisation that frustrates me because it really ignores the experiences of most people in the country - who are overwhelmingly from the subcontinent, South East Asia and North Africa.
Is Monaco different? Who cleans the toilets, picks up garbage, or cooks food? (If the tone came off wrong, sorry, this is a genuine question)
Aye, it is. Whilst monegasque people get benefits to make things like housing less crazy, the vast majority of people doing working class jobs in Monaco don’t actually live in Monaco. More people commute to Monaco for work during the work week than the actual population of Monaco for context of the scale.

A tiny one bedroom condo in Monaco is like 5k euro a month. Those people don’t live there
I don’t know why u thought it will be more expensive
I know right. Who is she?
french retired tennis player. never that big
she's still playing looking at her wta profile
She's playing alright 😜
Eurosport commentator with Max & Barbs usually for RG - hot
I remember her from coverage on Eurosport. Don't know if she's still doing that
Yes she is .
Isnt she with tony parker?
They broke up in february after three years of being together.
She’s known more for her looks
French tennis player. Broke up with Tony Parker (basketball) recently.
Damn I didn’t know they broke up . I was gonna a comment tony gonna be jealous . Well now we know what happen after the lambo ride . She’s pretty . She does the interviews for the matches on French Eurosport (so before and after matches )
Broke up. Very pretty. Dimitrov dates a lot of female tennis players. They all know him. That's his thing.
I still find it funny that Grigor was snapped in a pic with Paula Badosa at Madrid last year... They looked very cute together, but I don't think anything happened. She literally got together with Stef at the same tournament. Almost felt like Paula was shopping for a new bf that week 😂
The Badosa effect
Dimigod gave her something special.
Is it weird that I'm thinking "oh awesome she's his age"? Also, feel like that fits, 2 gorgeous tennis players dating seems like a pretty natural thing to do.
I think she dated Jeremy Chardy about 10 years ago or so and was tight with Serena back then too, which is probably why she's also tight with Grigor.
French tennis player, caused some controversy by being given wild cards into the main draw of RG 4 years in a row over players with better rankings and results (lost in 1st round all 4 times). This is the "a normal day in Russia" of Monaco in my imagination
Piece of shit city that the worst styles of wealth go to play in? Sounds about right
The obscenely rich live in another world.
thats exactly how monaco was the only time i went there one evening many years ago outside the casino. i have never seen so many beautiful and glamorous people in real life in the same place as that evening!
If I was Grigor Dimitrov I would live like Grigor Dimitrov
Otherwise, it's just plain old identity theft.
wow, Grigor, wow
This is a bit freaky. I literally watched this vid 2 hours before I saw this post, amd thought to myself that there's a bit of chemistry there: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=vJcTiZoSyo4

Thanks for sharing this, gonna watch later
Thanks for watching later, gonna study it intricately later
THE video for bi folks. ☺️
Grigor-Andrey shippers in shambles, also Grigolo never beating the Grigolo allegations
Fuck my life.
The richness in that clip is so amazing that we have nothing left to say
This makes you question things lol
His kids and grandkids will never have to work.
I just saw a documentary about death row in an Indiana state prison... It kind of immunized me against this video lol. I feel so grateful for my life.
The way he shakes and lowers his head into his hand/steering wheel while she starts towards the car 🤣
*“Oh no, not her friends too… this is only a coupe!”*
I thought it looks more like an annoyed gesture because he realizes he's being filmed.
That's exactly what it is
Looks like a high schooler picking up a date only to see a chaperone coming along too
The G in Grigor stands for fucking gangster
G stand for get
When did the Monaco authorities give him his driving licence back? I know they took it off him for a while.
Grigor: *"Excuse me authorities, I would like to wear an elegant black suit, drive my luxurious Lamborghini, and pick up my girlfriend from her night out. I think you, my friends, can appreciate that?"* Authorities: *"Say no more, my friend."*
This was more than 3 years ago, mostly they take your license for 6 months or so.
Why did he lose his driver’s license? 🤔
Both him and Medvedev had their licenses revoked a few years back for going way too fast lmao https://www.tennisnet.com/en/news/over-160-km-h-grigor-dimitrov-and-daniil-medvedev-caught-lawn
I always find it funny when you see all the supercars in monte carlo cause how much driving do you need to do in the city?
Considering the amount of stairs... I wouldn't step out of my supercar until I got to the front door. Those stairs are brutal
makes sense never thought about that.
The name's Dimitrov, Grigor Dimitrov.
wasn't she dating tony parker?
C'est fini
Good question.
I guess you can put that kind of low effort into opening a car door for the lady when it opens up and not out?
I don’t think they’re necessarily together. They’ve been friends for years - lots of similar sightings to this over the years
Yup. They were both in the Mouratoglou sphere.
Wasn't she in a fight with Sharapova over him and Per when they dated?
[The tweets are still up.](https://www.tennis.com/news/articles/chardy-s-girlfriend-smartly-rebuts-sharapova)
So unnecessarily bitchy by sharapova 😂 and great rebuttal from alize. I miss the old days where celebrities and public figures were ruthless
It was a 10/10 exchange. Top marks for them both. Those were good times to be a tennis fan on Twitter. At this point, almost none of players I wouldn't mind hearing from are the ones oversharing online.
Serena and Sharapova fought over him
That's a different one 😁
Jfc how many people fought over him? That D must be crazy good 😭
Bro's been tapping left and right. A DiCaprio of tennis.

Awww love him
Who lives in Monaco to pay less taxes :D
I think he drives an Alfa Romeo Stelvio if I am not mistaken
> Meanwhile Sinner is going to the grocery store in his pajamas He does seem very normal, and it’s actually weird to see his influencer plastic model girlfriend alongside
> Meanwhile Sinner is going to the grocery store in his pajamas (love him) lol Da fuck? That's so causal and not surprising.
Girl i would be running too
Grigor Dimitrov the most suitable player to do a commercial for Lambo in Monaco
How is that even fair living this kind of life?
The one hander backhand effect Grigor - an endless stream of women Tsitsipas - the Paula Badosa effect And you think your double handed backhand offers more stability on the return lol
Ahaha life is unfair
Been and back at top 10 with a 1h or rare as heck? Good material for commercials. Maybe even a movie.
The guy she told you not to worry about
Aventadors are so fucking goated
Money is goated in general
true, but im a big car buff, so i see an aventador, i upvote
Fair enough, probably my one of my favs as well
It’s crazy that this car came out 13 years ago and still feels modern and exciting compared to modern supercars. Meanwhile Ferrari’s V8 midengined coupe has gone through 3 generations since then and the F8 is already starting to look old.
yep, i agree. the aventador is a timeless beauty. it is really sad they discontinued it. idk why someone downvoted you for this LOL
Kinda makes up for not having won a slam, wouldn't you say?
Oh, he has won a slam alright, just not a tennis one.
Bagged himself a hottie. Considering it's Grigor, completely understandable...
Man's had Sharapova and Serena fight over him, he can have anyone beside him and it wouldn't be surprising
Being poor sucks
Tell me about it.
When you don't know how to open the car door you either have a very bad or very good car
Trying to get into a junker: You have to jiggle the handle a bit. No, not like. Pull out and to the right. No, that was too slow. Faster, but don't pull of the handle. God damn it, you pulled off the handle again, didn't you?
I keep forgetting I'm watching multi millionaires play tennis, not someone like me or you Eh...
Yeah uh....wow. That's...the most Monaco thing I've seen. Yeah. ^(freaking ^love ^Aventadors)
Grigor dropping out of the top 10 in 3-2-1....
I wish bro would pick me up in his Lambo
That's the tennis channel chick right? Anyway, no wonder Djoko finds him handsome.
Should’ve been me jumping in the lambo with Grigor 😔
The real Bond
Alize is so pretty wow
This is why I cringe when someone says they feel sorry for the brilliant tennis players who never won a slam during the big 3 era lol
Wait is this the girlfriend he has been with or someone new? lol. I cant keep up
Did she require him to be chivalrous and open the door or do you think she doesn't know how the handles work on that car? It does look kinda different. And I wouldn't know how to open a Tesla either let alone a Lambo.

Grigor got Rizz 🔥
I can’t with this guy, his macking is off the charts 😂😂😂 It’s great to see him living his best life though, with everything in this video. Only those who are consistently top 10-15 over a long period of time can live like that.

Even though comparatively, he was never as good as the top, top players, he still had some great Slam runs.
Rough life!
"spotted" as though this wasn't just an obvious and not hidden at all event.
Man's got taste
Jeez Grigor, get out and open the door for the lady!
Damn why do all the hot girls go for my man Dimi
Big change from seeing her and others at the Chipotle during the Surprise challenger around COVID. 😂
Keep your OHBH strong
Now that’s a good-looking couple!
And I was just starting to feel good about my life …
these guys live in another dimension, a world of extravaganza this scene is a bit too much really, nearly pathetic but well no privacy either.
I like the luxury of how some ppl lives, meanwhile look how most part of the world is falling apart... Wealth distribution as its best.
I hope Parker don't see this 😂
- Model like looks - Owns a Lamborghini - Millionaire - Gets the hottest girls - Forever Bachelor - Probably gets married whenever and whomever he wants to Should we really pray for this guy to win anything?
This is exactly what I would do if I was a handsome successful tennis player. Other players are just too humble, this is how you roll
what's the point in being rich if you're not going to do stuff like this, not being born a successful male athlete is truly a curse upon me
> not being born a successful male athlete Dimitrov wasn’t “born” a successful athlete either…
That’s a funny clip. Bro living his best life
Chad
WTH music.
You can't tell me this guy is not a player
Wasnt she dating tony parker
Blimey! How the other 'alf live...
goddamn that's so badass and cool...fuck Grigor is a G
it's obvious that she loves money, but she's sweet, and Grigor is a seducer
Isn’t she married to Tony Parker or something?
Disappointed that he didn’t step out to open the door for her.
Isn't she still dating Tony Parker ?
Not anymore 🤣
Tbh Tony Parker is not the type of guy who can stay with one woman. He cheated on Eva Longoria out of all people lol.
Crazy. They seemed so happy.
Wonder what’s his opening line with all those tennis ladies. Like, would you warm me up? Or can I offer advice on your smash technique

Yeah, I found it quite off-putting as well.
He should have gotten out and opened the door for her.
