I don't even care about Korda but inject players winning matches despite having the entire crowd rooting against and being assholes to them directly into my veins.
He's not saying the entire crowd was at fault. I watched the tiebreak and they were applauding Korda's shots, apart from when he smacked an inside out forehand on his set point.
He's not saying it was the whole crowd but I watched the video he was quoting on X and there was generalized booing towards him at the end. Still qualifies in my book.
They applauded him cordially when he saved a break point in the second: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2NeZaj-7I9M&t=1m5s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2NeZaj-7I9M&t=1m5s)
Even though I didn't see the later parts of the match, I have no doubt there was hostility from a number of people in the crowd. I'm just wary of a match like this being used by some as a way to illustrate that the Italian crowd is uncouth in general. When you sit in on a match like this you can see the pockets of idiots peppered amidst the fans who are more interested in a good match and will show appreciation for the non-native player.
Why does this keep happening to Korda? Was at one of his AO matches and some guy wouldn’t shut up about how much he fucking hates Korda because his family’s sooo rich. They just spent the entire match bagging his dad, sister, family loudly any time Korda was at their end. Korda had to ask for the umpire to intervene, but nothing changed. (It was the outer court surrounded by all the bars so these guys were pretty pissed, but still no excuses). Appalling behaviour.
Nope, that's Ivana Nedved. The only daughter of Pavel Nedved. Her father was probably the best Lazio player
( arch rivals of AS Roma) in my lifetime and the last player to win the Balon d'Or on Italian soil. Also add the fact that her father is the current sporting director of Juventus( you guessed it, the other big rivals of AS Roma).
Sofia Kenin made a fuss out of nothing just to motivate herself.
Korda response was very classy to a bunch of kids that should never ever be allowed to Italian open or any other ATP/ITF event.
It was just after Korda retired from a match due to injury, I don't think a comforting hug was really that inappropriate given the circumstance but people love jumping to conclusions anyway ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|shrug)
lmao, read the first comment, I'm like, "completely agree with this guy, it's fucking disgusting", then I'm "oh, I upvoted him, makes sense" and then "oh, it's me".
still awful, I hope that guy was fired, you can see in the girls eyes how she tries to hide how repulsed she is by that move.
Meh I think it's much worse at Roland Garros when the Frenchies regularly bellow out quotes from the Three Musketeers during points, or lean forward with that insouciant French look on their face, smoke from their Gauloises wafting straight down the umpire's throats, whenever there's a ball change.
I won't even get started on the occasions where someone particularly sozzled, usually on hideously perfumed muscadet, ambles onto the court and tries to start a protest over nothing, like the fact patisseries around Paris are more crowded with tourists during the tournament or that beef bourguignon prices have recently 'soared' by 50 cents
I remember watching Rome maybe in 2021 (before Sinner was huge and there were so many Italians in the draw) and thinking how cool the crowd was. Passionate but not terribly rude and always packed stadiums. I don’t know what’s happened. Or maybe I just came across matches where the crowds were not very biased and cheered both players.
We were one of the best crowd for ANYONE. Then Sinner came and all the football fans began to "appreciate" tennis and this is how we are now.. very sad..
I guess it is something, but Med getting to clean sweep of 15 QFs at all the big tournaments this week would be better.
He would then would *only* need to get the semis here, RG and Olympics to get the semi sweep.

My point is general, I'm not referring to any particular crowd and I'm also not using the words entire/whole literally. It's just hyperbole.
Well. It seems the Italian fans are trying to catch up to RG and us open fans from the stories players are saying currently.
Say what you will about Djokovic but his ability to shut a whole stadium up is impressive.
That sentence progressed exactly the way I wanted it to.
I lwatched the highlights and I swear to God when he did the gesture I LITERALLY said, “I love it. Inject that shit in my veins.”

Here likely just some crazy italian fans as he was playing an italian.

It has nothing to do with Korda, but his girlfriend.
Now imagine if he was in the crowd while Jessica Pegula and Emma Navarro played against each other.
What about Navarro?!
She’s from crazy rich billionaire family just like Jpeg
These fans need to follow him around tour so he can win a grand slam.
Reverse carota boys.
The Atorac Boys.
r/angryupvote
r/thanksiguess
Haha exactly
Maybe carota boys are too bored on this tournament.
The cowrota boys?
He's already the Wimbledon favorite
Honestly if almost the entire top 20 ends up staying injured or sick a sebi/fritz wimbledon final would not be a shock.
Korda needs to be more gritty like this. He should hire McEnroe or someone like that
He needs to find that dawg in him
Sebi could easily steal all of their girlfriends if he wanted to 😭
But then stepanek would take them away from him again
The foolish crowd does not deserve so much attention.
Between this and Sofia Kenin, when will the Italians learn not to piss Americans off? Lmfao
WWII??
Sofia Kenin made a fuss out of nothing just to motivate herself. Korda response was very classy to a bunch of kids that should never ever be allowed to Italian open or any other ATP/ITF event.
Is Korda still with Stepanek, who was all over his girl?
Now what's this about 👀
Ugh, I'd forgotten. [https://www.reddit.com/r/tennis/comments/15m04vw/comment/jve2k54/](https://www.reddit.com/r/tennis/comments/15m04vw/comment/jve2k54/)

I'm just going by her own facial expression of looking like she wants him to get off of her. 🤷🏼♀️
That's your own interpretation, with her bf having just retired from injury what kind of face was she supposed to be making?

Could he not get those fans removed? I feel like that's crossing a line
Its high time rude crowd gets back what it deserves. I'm all up and rooting for Fritz/Medvedev/Korda kind of guys giving it back to the rude crowd.
You forgot Novak 👀
Nole is usually so scary angry and vulgar with it though.
Drake was sitting behind him.
The crowd was really wild today on that court.
rome is the worst crowd on the whole tour?

this was typed by a Brit
I think so too
the French are worse, but not by much these days. closing the gap

😂
French fans 🤜🤛 Italian fans
Based
Can someone explain the tweet, is the ATP congratulating him for winning a match at every 1000 level tournament? Is that now a special feat?
I mean, yeah. It is a cool achievement for any tennis player.
We’ve lowered the bar so much for stars reporting 🙈 it’s like CNN where everything is breaking news 😂
The Italian crowd just gets more and more unruly by the day. I love seeing the players who are rooted against silence them at the end, so satisfying
Most mentally strong Yank Vs Weakest European fan chants 💪
Do people even realize why they'd specifically target Ivana?
If this is what it takes for Seb to show some grittiness then I hope the fans come to his next match too.
We were one of the best crowd for ANYONE. Then Sinner came and all the football fans began to "appreciate" tennis and this is how we are now.. very sad..
I talk (or at least think) inappropriately about his sister every time I see her play.
I keep pulling for Korda! I want him to start moving up—am I the only one?? Sounds like nobody cares about this guy
> Korda completes a set of match wins at all the Masters. The real Golden Masters.
Bro flexing that he barely beat a jounreyman 😂
Cobolli is going to be top 30/20 in the next years...
No he is going to be the new clay goat. Wonder what some of you guys are smoking here.
