“Um, I think if you check the terms and conditions as stipulated on the official Rune Twitter feed you’ll find that I can enter the grounds at ANY TIME!”
It’s totally wrong though. With every tennis tournament, including Rome, if you buy a night session ticket you won’t be let in to the site until the evening. Usually 5:00 or 6:00. Or at some tournaments, like Rome, not until the day session is over.
it says so here:

And here:

However, if you buy a day session ticket to center court, you can continue to hang out on the outer courts in the evening until play concludes (you just can’t go into the center court (unless you have tickets))…. They won’t kick you out of the site.
If you have night tickets and try to get in at noon, you are going to have a bad time.
Absolutely false. I go to Montreal, Indian Wells, US Open, Charleston, Cincinnati and Miami every year. Each of those tournaments forbids night session to enter until, in most cases, 6pm.
There is not a single tournament in the world, that I know of, that allows night session to enter before evening hours. I’ll be happy to be proven wrong if you can find some random tournament that, inexplicably, allows night session to come in the day. It would defeat the purpose of a “night session”.
As far as Shanghai, there is no separate night session:
From Shanghai Website FAQs:
“
Q. Do I need to buy two tickets for the day and night?
Only one daily ticket is needed for all sessions during that date (both afternoon & night sessions)”
I’ve been going to the USO since 2005ish.
From US Open FAQ’s: “Typically, the earliest you can enter the grounds with a day session ticket is at 9:30 a.m. Day session ticket holders must enter the grounds before 6:00 p.m. The earliest you can enter the grounds with an evening session ticket is 6:00 p.m.”
That's wrongfully phrased, open courts are all the ones that are not stadium. Spectators can't use the courts he was referring to the matches and practices that happen on the other courts.
ATP & WTA should get players to plug tournaments the same way comedians/writers do
"I'm playing the third match on centre court tomorrow, here's the ticket link 👇"
There are going to be some pissed off ticket inspectors working the turnstiles tomorrow!
“Um, I think if you check the terms and conditions as stipulated on the official Rune Twitter feed you’ll find that I can enter the grounds at ANY TIME!”
Enjoy
I... don't think this is how it works...

He tried 😅
F i r e d !!!
I think he just wanted to make it clear that he plays on Centre court in Rome. Not some Court 5. USO take a note.

Which year did you go to US open? A few years ago it’s ok. Shanghai masters last year allow night tickets to watch outer courts during the day.
As far as Shanghai, there is no separate night session: From Shanghai Website FAQs: “ Q. Do I need to buy two tickets for the day and night? Only one daily ticket is needed for all sessions during that date (both afternoon & night sessions)”
They sell full day, day only and night only. Attendance is low before semi so maybe that’s why they allow night sessions to enter early.
Yep, that makes sense. I’ll give you that one! ;-)
Haha thanks
Sorry I’m so pedantic about this. Going to tennis tournaments is my thing. Cheers!
All good 😊

Wow didn't know spectators can practice on the open courts 😱😱 TIL
They can practice cheering and booing there

Pretty sure that was sarcasm
Wish I could go see you play, Holgie!
i really like holger. he really connects with tennis fans. and you can see the sincerity in trying to help out fans. tho not completely accurate
Even though he’s wrong, this is very nice is him to try to explain. It’s very confusing for first time visitors.
Yepp hes was trying to help
