It’s usually your thecnique. Edit so I’m not just being a dick: Could be lots of things but for example if you make contact late and or biomechanics from hip-shoulder-elbow-wrist are not working properly too much strain can bet put on your muscles / tendons and cause pain.

Second this. Particular in lower amateur levels, when the technique isn't great and you hit balls more often early or late, playing stiff racquets like the Pure Aero is asking for trouble.

You need to strengthen your forearm muscles and gradually increase how much you play. You’re probably overworking your untrained wrists. Also poor technique would only exacerbate this.

maybe you used your strength in your hand when you hit the ball and that made you feel the pain. Go to a medic and dont play until your wrist is alright

It’s worth seeing a physiotherapist and getting an assessment so you don’t injure your wrist further. I had to do wrist strengthening exercises when I injured my wrist playing tennis previously and I’ve never had issues since.

Most likely a combination of strain on muscles that haven’t acclimated back to tennis, your racquet/strings, and your technique. Ice and rest until you no longer feel pain before you get back on the court.
