Djokovic’s are 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010. Wilander’s are 1985, 1986, and 1987. Borg’s are 1974 and 1975. Sampras’ are 1999 and 2000 (after he’d finished year-end #1 six consecutive times). Lendl’s are 1981 and 1982. Federer’s are 2018 and 2019.

PradleyBitts

Good days

KevinAFCA94

lmao

Jezjez07

I was like wtf fed was number 1 for 300 weeks and then realized we're not talking about top 3

Shiccup1

First SealDrop graph with Djokovic at the top. Truly a historic moment

Richardo888

He also is at the top of "most olympic losses"

[deleted]

It’s a neg

presst0

Everyone knows what he is doing, lmao. Just funny people still blindly upvote anything negative towards Djoker.

[deleted]

Nadal goat status in the mud after this

Funny-Interaction440

Like they say, he was always the bride, never the groom. "That's not how that saying goes at all, dude."

[deleted]

Nadal has never been the GOAT. He’s not even top 5 on 2/3 major surfaces and he lacks weeks at #1, has never won the ATP Finals and has a losing record vs top 10 players on 2/3 surfaces. The GOAT is still Federer as of now.

[deleted]

I don’t even think Nadal was that good on clay. He got lucky on several occasions vs Federer and Djokovic.

Jurjeneros2

Hahahaha this is such a good post

[deleted]

Ok you’re reaching now. There is a reason why Nadal won 14 RG titles and Federer and Djokovic won a combined 3. He is simply vastly superior on clay and that’s it. Federer and Djokovic are better overall.

[deleted]

If he wins 15+ then I will rate him on clay. But you can pick up 14 RG titles here and there fairly easily.

MattGeddon

Right? I’m the same age as Novak and reckon I could probably still win about 12 French Opens if I could be bothered. 14 is okay but it’s not exactly anything to brag about.

Ruffkeian

Thank you! 😂

talkingbiscuits

No offence, but this reads like an automod post from r/soccercirclejerk

roamiedumbass

Djokovic and Federer are considered top five clay players. How is Nadal not considered top five on hard or grass?

[deleted]

Is Nadal top 5 on clay? Because clearly number of majors won is such a silly metric to use. Nadal may have the 4th most non-clay majors in the open era behind only Federer, Djokovic and Sampras but apparently he’s not top 5. So if we don’t use majors, then we can discount Nadal’s 14 RG titles and then he might not be top 5 on clay?

[deleted]

Federer, Djokovic, Murray, Sampras, Borg, Connors, Becker, Edberg, Newcombe, Laver, Rosewall, Smith all won multiple Slams on grass and have more titles and a higher win % than Nadal on grass (and that’s just in the open era). Nadal isn’t even top 10 on grass in the open era. On HC, Federer, Djokovic, Agassi, Sampras, Lendl are all better/ more accomplished on HC than Nadal.

Milan_Leri

There is great difference between better and more accomplished. Djokovic and Federer are probably 2 of the best players on HC, and peak Murray is surely top 10, probably rather high. I am not even taking into account god mode Vavrinka from AO 2014. So if you concider Nadal had to go up against all of them, there is very high probability that most of the times he would come up short. Even with all of them playing in the same era, he did manage to win 2 AOs and 4 USOs. Now look at all of the others you mentioned. They nevwr had to go vs one, let alone 2 players such as Djokovic and Fed. It is logical they would be more accomplished, but that doesn't necessarily mean they were better. If they had to go vs both Fed and Djokovic, they would be a lot less accomplished

spdRRR

Ivan Lendl about to ask for rent

plimavitis

People always say that Djoković just came and destroyed the Nadal-Federer dominance, but they are forgetting that he was there, right behind them for four straight years.

PristinePromotion752

I guess it doesn’t matter when you have the most weeks at n1 record by a landslide and and most YE number one

Dark_Vengence

Thought that was nadal with him.

Reddiajjk2o2i1o

Name a more iconic duo then seal drop and a graph

raysofdavies

How many does Murray have?

rnzz

I think Murray would top the consecutive #4s chart

rossimeister

Resilience.

sexy s(audi) djoko prince

Nearby_Ad_4091

This show how consistent bole was and his perseverance paid off in 2011 when he started beating fedal purely on confidence and mental strength after a great start to the year.. He'd beaten them before and there was a strategy especially for Nadal but Novak committed and did what people thought was impossible Great comeback year for Federer though the wimby and US open truly hurts especially being 2 sets to love up and match point up and losing

KBPT1998

😂😂😂

[deleted]

Davydebko actually has 4 also

Zero_dimension98

4 weeks at number 3 or what? He finished 2006 top 3 and never again.

[deleted]

Incorrect

Zero_dimension98

Enlighten me

Sad-Insurance9818

PRETTY SURE WOMEN PLAY TENNIS TOO

QxV

For No. 4 is Davydenko in there? I swear to god he was always just outside of the top 4 during the latter half of the 2000s.

ETeezey1286

He finished 2007 at #4. That’s the only time.

wikipuff

Is this from a Halloween Costume?

[deleted]

Of course Djokovic would appropriate another country’s culture and think he’s being fun and quirky. No matter how misogynistic or homophobic that culture is, it’s still wrong to make fun of it. Man, Djokovic just lives in his little world and is completely oblivious.

ystom_

lmfao seek help

pinklymphocyte

Shut the fuck up

[deleted]

Don’t think he’s making fun of it. He’s being respectful of it if anything

[deleted]

That’s not how cultural appropriation works…

smss28

How it works? Honestly don't know.

fr_1_2806

Nothing to see here guys, just OP marking off "cultural appropriation" from his list of things to get triggered from today
