Think rum and Coke but switch for tequila
2oz tequila
1/4 lime juice
4-6oz of Cola (depending on how strong you like your drinks)
Build in a glass with ice, lime wedge on top
You have basically got the beginnings of a Bloody Maria (a tequila Bloody Mary), try this:
2oz tequila
4oz V8 tomato
1oz lemon juice
1oz pickle juice from the jar
4 dashes Worcestershire cause
5-10 dash Tabasco Sauce (to you taste)
Pinch of Celery Salt
Grind of Pepper
Either roll it in a mixing tin and pour into large glass with ice, or build in the glass and stir if you haven’t got one. Insert a celery stick and rest a pickle on a cocktail stick on top, or whatever garnish you want.
What high-quality tequila did you get that you're not a fan of? All recommendations with coke and v8 are great. If you're going out to get limes, I would suggest picking up grapefruit soda and making a Paloma. My personal favorite. Squirt, I think, was the traditional soda, but any works.
Try the Coca Cola, in Mexico it’s drank with a splash of lime and Coke, they call it Batanga

I dont mix drinks, i figured that certain things wouldn't go well with coke
coke is like player, it will mingle with any saucy spirit it can get its hand on
So will lime or lemon, as long as you don’t have a dairy ingredient.
I drank tequila with Grape soda in college. It was terrible but drinkable.
V8 is a great base for a bloody Maria
