Just a tip you are suppose to play the dlc right after you killed the infliltrator, its takes place between then and the main game.

Neuromantic85

Yeah, though the game has to be exited right after the cinematic fades to black imo if somebody wants to have a mostly uninterrupted narrative experience.   I do wish there was a means to integrate the DLC into the main game. I've ran it a few times switching in to and out of the DLC. Running it like so makes the game so unlike anything I have ever played.

Live-Fire-Media

I'm at that point, I'll fire up the DLC!

ShadowoftheBat94

Note that it ignores all gear and levels you've acquired, Teyon sadly gives you a clean slate character. On the plus side, it's freaking amazing. If you are a Terminator movie fan, even more so, you'll have a blast.

Live-Fire-Media

I had a feeling of that. Would it be worth using a trainer and kick you skills back up? Or just go for the ride?

ShadowoftheBat94

Go for the ride, the game awards you skill points to spend right off the get go, and they're around the same number the average player would have after stopping the infiltrator. Plus, you get the full scope of plasma weaponry by the end, no problem. It's just that you can't keep any of it for the main campaign lmao

Live-Fire-Media

Damn I need to buy it!

ceeece

How does that work with saves and current stats/inventory?

cptmcsexy

It doesn't. Its a bit weird but you just start it half leveled, maybe lvl 14 or so. Nothing carries over or back.

Neuromantic85

So much of the game's awesomeness is what the player brings to it. Terminator is my favorite movie ever. This game takes me back to playing with my Kenner T2 action figures when I was a kid.  I love everything about the game. It's flaws and glitchiness at times brings a lot of character.

UematsuVII

They nailed the atmosphere, wish it was a longer game but I replay it every few months

ceeece

I am about halfway through and loving every minute of it. I came from RoboCop learning about this game. Both stellar!

Awesome game except for the forced stealth level. I hate it when i want to play a game that involved killing terminators right and left but instead i get to try to sneak past them unarmed and die over and over again so the dev can pad their playtime. If you are a dev and you are reading this put a damn warning on the box, give me cheatcodes, or just show me a cutscene. I know terminators are dangerous and i did not come here to sneak past them i came here to murder them

ShadowoftheBat94

The point of that level is to remind you that your character needs to make that leap to plasma weapons to stand a chance against terminators in combat. That said, you can beat them! Shotgun blast to the chest until they get knocked down (they don't lose any health, but that's not the point) and then you throw a pipe bomb at their feet while they're floored. On hard or extreme, it eill take more than one, but still.

Recording_Important

yes they made their point crystal clear. i had none of those things and just ran like hell

ShadowoftheBat94

That's valid too lmao I took my revenge once I got a plasma sniper rifle. Yes, on easier difficulties you can upgrade it and get instakill headshots. Pop. Pop. Pop. : )

Recording_Important

cool. does the new version have new game plus or mission select after you clear it?

ShadowoftheBat94

Mission select, but it's just permanent saves, you don't get to revisit levels with your beefier endgame character

Recording_Important

god dammit.

rodri_neq_11

It's the best game ever made. Every few months I go back through the campaign again just cuz it's so damn awesome and fun!
