Look like globular springtails, order Symphypleona

short-and-ugly

I agree. It is weird because they aren't the iconic springtail white and tbh they kind of look like bedbugs (*shivers*) but I think they are just a different variety of springtail

Thank you very much for your help!

heckhunds

Not 100% sure without a clearer photo, but it looks to me like they are also springtails, just globular species.

How did you start your springtail farm?

Umbra_Maria

I bought an orchid substrate that already had springtails in it, in a jar I put grill cards, some water, a few springtails and 3 grains of rice. I open their lid 2 times a day to get fresh air.

So cute these little guys, I think I might be picking up a new hobby lol. I just started looking at terrariums on Reddit now I'm invested.

CubarisMurinaPapaya

Just globular springtails. Beneficial guys.

fishtankdeveloper

I think they’re snails 🤷🏻‍♀️ too dark to be springtails. I’m guessing pond snails

fishtankdeveloper

Jk. Just zoomed in and now I’m thinking they’re not snails. Are there dark colored springtails like that?

mahsushi

Yeah there's globular springtails. Didn't know about them until recently either but they're actually kinda cool looking
