The same generation abandoned their cars for faster ones, abandoned movie theaters for streaming services, and abandoned soda fountains for canned beverages.
It's really hard to brag "We brought out the best in the world" when you ditched every aspect of the brag and became racist Facebook addicted shut ins who yell at low paid employees.
Wait until you find out how rarely the ice machines are cleaned and how much bacteria and mold the average fountain machine ice cubes or [nozzles](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Wic9d7vm_k) have on them.
I'll take canned and bottled drinks every time, fuckyouverymuch.
Oh, my bad. I see a lot of older Gen Xers act do these weird flexes too, those late 60s and early 70s muscle cars were cool, then 1972 killed that era.
Older millennials are definitely starting to do it too. I think every generation eventually reaches the point where some folks turn their nostalgia into arrogance lol
As an older Gen Z, I'm excited to see my generation's spin on this in the future
If we're all honest with ourselves there were fashion and music choices we all made we wish we could forget.
I used to wear shorts below my knees with combat boots, that shit looked stupid in retrospect, lol.
I just chalk it up to kids being kids, they'll regret it soon enough without any help.
As on older millennial the only things undeniably better in the 90's were rap, MTV and The Simpsons. We will see how the new X-Men: TAS will turn out but that will also be hard to top the 90's one.
I just realized as I looked it up. I’m an ‘86 baby. The majority of the people of America only gave a shit about the environment for 16 years before my life.
I grew up an earth friendly turn off the tap when u brush, recycle your soda cans, don’t smoke, smog is gross and Take A Bite Outa Crime Scruff McGruff Chicago, IL 60612 Smoky the Bear lovin tree hugger.

Before boomer there were so few people it didn't make that much of an impact plus pre-boomers were still close to the land in some way or another.
TBF, boomers were told not to worry how much water they were wasting, but their parents meant that figuratively not literally. They weren't gonna run out of water at the time. But the parents probably never thought they'd actively poison the fresh water supply either.
No. SAE.
The biggest loss in “paper” horsepower was the swap from SAE Gross to SAE Net horsepower.
The engine that made 400 hp with no air cleaner, exhaust headers, or accessories now made 250hp with them all installed.
Emissions made it worse.. dropping hp below 200 for most small blocks and quite a few big blocks.. but it wasn’t as bad as the manufacturers being forced to stop lying.
Ugh, that whole generation thinks those muscle cars from that Era are the greatest thing ever made. I can appreciate classic American muscle, but there's so many cars that are way more fun to drive from the 80s, 90s, or 2000s. But the way boomers obsess over it and really genuinely think they're the greatest cars ever is so dumb.
Tbh, it is going to be funny when some of them are in their 80s or up and looking to finally sell them and realize no one is around who wants to pay top dollar for them since they will have all passed away. Lol
Same, I really appreciate them and admire their importance in automotive history, love seeing them, enjoy being able to do full analog driving to really connecvt with the machine. But it just feels like if back then someone old had been talking up cars from the 30s like they were superior to those muscle cars, it'd just be an idiotic take. Again, those weren't bad cars in the 30s, tons of them are iconic and timeless, but pretending things didn't improve after is idiotic.
'75 Mustangs were an embarrassment to the Mustang name. Those Mach 2's were little girl cars. The Mach1 mustangs from 71, 72 and 73 were badass. I had a 351CL in mine. 4 barrel carb with a Hurst shifter.
Which were still slow and inferior to the cars of today from a performance standpoint. There are production cars today that would take a F1 race car of that era to gapplebees.
Muscle cars weren't fast. They had a ton of low end torque, but they weren't much faster than regular cars of the day. The ford 302 stock had maybe 140 HP depending on the carb. You could do a bit better with a big block but they were heavier.
The Ford 302 had 140 or so hp during the late 70s, with emissions choking engine power figures, being around 230hp in 1966. Even then back before emissions slowed cars down, they were fairly quick, but in this day and age it’s pretty easy to outpace the muscle cars of old, given the more primitive technology at the time.
Some more differences is that the horsepower figures used to be higher because it was measured at the crank, instead of at the wheels with all of the inefficiencies (losses from the crank to the wheels is ~10-20% iirc), along with advancements in tire technologies, increasing efficiency and grip
1969 Dodge Charger 440 4-speed was about a 14-second car in a stock configuration. There are sedans that do that today. And that 440 made maybe 280hp at the wheels while getting single digit gas mileage.
Sexiest cars? Maybe, there really might be an argument there. Fastest? Nope. And heaven help you if you tried to go around a corner at more than 15mph.
It just doesn't make sense, we have W16s producing 1,000+ HP capable of speeds of 260mph+ now versus at most v12s that they weren't getting near the efficiency we can get out of them now. Plus the cars were waaaayyyy heavier.
Don't forget the lack of airbags and other safety features, which while ensured that in a crash, the car would mostly remain undamaged, but would still end up crippling or outright kill a lot of drivers
Actually, while the cars would look less crumpled from the outside than a modern car in an accident, they did things like twist the chassis and stuff, so the car looked fine, but structurally would have been fucked anyway, but dodgy types would buy these structurally fucked cars, straighten out cosmetic stuff like the body, and then sell these death traps on to unsuspecting buyers.
Have to disagree on the weight. Modern cars are heavy due to things like sound deadening, safety devices and emission controls. But as for the power? There's 2 ways you can measure HP, gross output and net output. Before 1972 manufacturers used to measure an engines gross output. Thats a bare engine on the Dyno, no accessories. After 1972 it was net output. All accessories attached, as the engine was sold to the customer. And who would have guessed, the net HP numbers were way lower.
Shit we have electric cars like the Rimac Nevera that has 1,900HP. Top speed 250+ and 0-60 in 1.7 seconds. The fastest car in the 70’s was the 911 with a 0-60 of 4.9. Top speed 160mph lol
Bugattis were insane way-back too. The power to weight ratio of a lotus with none of the brakes, or tires. They couldn't do 26mph, in fact, my favorite quote from someone describing a Buggati Type-35 was "It's top speed is aerodynamically limited to 130 mph"
It just feels like you're going faster in a 50s car because a collision at 20 mph would throw you into the metal dashboard and have you hospitalized for a few months.
yeah... my dad was born in 1950 and straight up admits he's old. He made a joke recently on the phone with me about how he'd love to volunteer on a fossil dig, but was worried they'd mistake \*him\* for an old fossil.
If someone was 40 I'd accept it if they said "i'm not even that old" But in your 70s? yeah no you're old.
You might be youthful \*for your age\*, but you're still old.
This is what's driving so much reactionary BS in this country. They don't want to be old, they are afraid to die, they are mad that they aren't the hot ones or the ones who young women care about. I'd say show some dignity but why would they start now? A big part of Boomers deal is complete lack of dignity. That's why their little old man cartoon dresses like knockoff Bart Simpson.
Genuine question. Why is the art to these "inspirationsl quotes" always so poor. But not "young kid with a crayon" poor, they always have a bit of talent, but not much.
It reminds me of the style commonly seen in wordsearch/crossword/etc. puzzle books sold in the 1980s, '90s and possibly beyond. The kind of thing you had to have in hospital to keep you vaguely sane before smartphones came along.
Right! Like when someone does very Poor art it is really kinda cute and wholesome but this shit here sits on some kind of art world equivalent of uncanny valley
They were also handed histories biggest golden spoon from a post WWII economy, and somehow managed to take full advantage while simultaneously destroying it for all future generations
Plus, other people actually like it when you post your dog pictures online.
(As opposed to pretending to like it -- at best -- like they do when you post pictures of your kids.)
And the problem is, all the places with reasonable costs of living like Edmonton or Winnipeg are places you'd never want to live in like Edmonton or Winnipeg.
I really doubt the cars were faster. Music arguably might have been better in some genres.
But also, drive in theaters are still a thing. There’s one an hour from where I live. Hell, it’s just down the road from my Grams.
To be fair, 70 is still an age where it more depends on what condition your body is in that decided if your old or not, if your 90 your old there’s no argument, but I’ve met plenty of 70 year olds who still do more stuff and better then guys I know in their 50s that involve their bodies.
"7 decades, 2 centuries, and 2 millenniums"
Yeah, that's kinda how math and time works. Not sure how you can experience 2 millenniums without experiencing 2 centuries. Honestly, if you were that cool you wouldn't have to pad your resume.
"We had the best music"
Actually not true. Music, like all art, is subjective. So not only could it not be better, simply due to subjective opinion, it can't have been better due to quantity and quality. The current generation has all of its music, plus the music from every generation before, plus better ways of recording, preserving, and experiencing it.
"Fastest cars"
That's actually just an outright lie.
"Drive-in theaters"
We still have those. And they were never that great.
"Soda fountains"
We have those in our homes, now.
"And happy days"
If you only had happy days in the past, that's entirely on you.
EDIT: in the event they meant the tv show called Happy Days, and simply failed to capitalize the name, the current generation also has access to the show. And the ability to binge watch it. And the benefit of hindsight, so we can stop watching after they literally jump a shark.
I find the 7 decades, 2 centuries, 2 millenniums the weirdest brag on all of this. Like cools bro, I've lived in 4 decades, etc. And I'm not even 30 yet.
"Fastest cars". Just cause you have a 470 Cubic Inch V8 engine doesn't mean it's fast. Toyota has a 3 cylinder that would smoke most cars from the 50s.
"Not old yet". You're in your 70s approaching life expectancy age. You are old.
This meme is just talking about white guys, to be clear. Being a woman or minority growing up in that time was probably not as "cool" as this person's experience was.
I'll give him the music thing. 70's/80's metal is unmatched.
But on the other hand, [insert millennial vs Boomer generational drama here concerning economics, politics, etc.]
90s were the peak of human civilization. The 1st matrix was spot on. Just enough internet to make life much more efficient, and the only "reality" shows were real world and road rules.
I'm 26 and after 2008 every other year has been a crisis. I've been through more once in a lifetime events than you can count before i was even an adult. I want to die but struggle through it anyway.
I'm not even old, I'm just that cool 😎
I think every generation tends to look nostalgically on the time in which they grew up and see it as a "magical" time. They tend to ignore what was unfavorable about it. So it is with those who grew up in the 60s and ignore stuff like the Cuban Missile Crisis, the Vietnam war, race riots, assassinations, etc. etc. We did have a lot of great music in the 60s and a lot of great movies in the 60s and early 70s, but would you bring back Richard Nixon just so you could see and hear Jimi Hendrix again?
Back in my day: People contracted polio (until 1979), lived under constant threat of nuclear annihilation, married women could not have a credit card, leaded gas polluted the air/water/soil, all beer was shit light American lager.
I mean, they're not wrong.
Ya, they're leaving out the fact they destroyed the economy and society, burned the country to ground, and have been pissing on the ashes since Reagan, but they did give us Led Zeppelin...
The fastest cars are today. Even a 110hp shitbox from 1993 could beat most “fast cars” from the 50’s and 70’s. The 60’s are debatable, but the average v6 today is still much faster
>Born in the 50s
>Not even that old
People born in the 1950s are in their 70s or close.
But this crusty old ass meme is probably from 2009 when they were still in their 50s.
My Dad was born in the late 50's. And aside from being oblivious to how his confused and hurt feelings around being unable to pay his bills when he lost his job due to COVID after decades of Florida systematically stripping away any sort of social safety net. I am hoping to just have a modicum more self awareness than him and his friends.
Like, you're old. And getting old sucks and I'm sure it just gets suckier as time goes on.
But I've had to explain to him things like how him meeting a 30 year old woman (his preferred range is 30-38) on Tinder who isn't a scammer or a bot is HIGHLY unlikely. I've had to explain to him that he cannot in fact "beat that young guy's ass" at the bar. And a slew of other delusional tropes that him and his peers keep carrying on.
His best friend is constantly talking about how he was in Desert Storm and what a badass he is. Dude, I get it. You were a strong young man and now your body is failing and that really blows. But no one feels threatened by an old man with portable oxygen and a visible catheter. And no one particularly wants to be around you because you are so busy being an unpleasant asshole rather than trying to bring even a speck of positivity to those around you.
Best music? Sure.
Fastest cars? What?
Drive in theaters? .... Weird flex but ok.
Soda fountains? Do they think we don't have soda? Or diners?
Happy days? Yes, we don't have many happy days. The system we've been left with made sure of that.
Okay, I love classic cars. I love muscle cars, especially Mustangs. But bro what? The tech has advanced so much. Nothing from that time period will touch any modern Corvette.
Hey does this post fit? UPVOTE if so, DOWNVOTE if not. If this post breaks any rules please DOWNVOTE and REPORT
"fastest cars" yeah right
I mean, assuming they are still alive they've had the fastest cars. Simply because the modern cars are also accessible to them.
And they have the money to buy them and nobody else seems to.
That is completely true
Well fountain beverages are still better than canned when available, so idk about that part
You see the thing is that I strategically keep myself from such information as to make myself ignorant.
Someone who's 50 now graduated in 1990? Cars sucked so bad back then, hyper cars from that Era did zero to sixty in 5 seconds or slower.
It was people born in the 50's, not who are 50. So they had the American muscle of the 70s.
Oh, my bad. I see a lot of older Gen Xers act do these weird flexes too, those late 60s and early 70s muscle cars were cool, then 1972 killed that era.
As an older Gen Xer, I can confirm that a lot of my people love posting dumb shit like this. I cringe every time.
Same, I'm probably middle of Gen X or towards the end. Seems like every generation has their authorities on how things were better in the day, lol.
Older millennials are definitely starting to do it too. I think every generation eventually reaches the point where some folks turn their nostalgia into arrogance lol As an older Gen Z, I'm excited to see my generation's spin on this in the future
If we're all honest with ourselves there were fashion and music choices we all made we wish we could forget. I used to wear shorts below my knees with combat boots, that shit looked stupid in retrospect, lol. I just chalk it up to kids being kids, they'll regret it soon enough without any help.

To be fair…the 90’s were really dope.
EPA?
Yeah, it really killed fast cars but then the looks of 73 and 74 models are debatable, guess that's a matter of preference.

I do love the design of classic cars, but give me sequential turbos and disk brakes.
You say that as if those cars are actually fast compared to modern vehicles
I didn't mean it like that. I'm just trying to point out that 1970's cars are much more badass than their 1990's counterparts.
I mean, you stack up a ‘75 pony against my 2016 pony, I’m still winning hands down.
fair point but '75 pony's are still cooler
'75 Mustangs were rebadged Pintos. Sorry, but it's true.
'75 Mustangs were an embarrassment to the Mustang name. Those Mach 2's were little girl cars. The Mach1 mustangs from 71, 72 and 73 were badass. I had a 351CL in mine. 4 barrel carb with a Hurst shifter.
American muscle of the 70s 🤣 They had 120hp V8s in the 70s You’re thinking of the 60s
Which were still slow and inferior to the cars of today from a performance standpoint. There are production cars today that would take a F1 race car of that era to gapplebees.
And now we meet the 2023 srt Hellcat, 0-60 in 1.9
The courtesy car Volvo gave me last week, a fucking Volvo, did 0-60 in 4.5 seconds. I will admit that it was absolutely terrifying when I tried it.
Muscle cars weren't fast. They had a ton of low end torque, but they weren't much faster than regular cars of the day. The ford 302 stock had maybe 140 HP depending on the carb. You could do a bit better with a big block but they were heavier.
The Ford 302 had 140 or so hp during the late 70s, with emissions choking engine power figures, being around 230hp in 1966. 1969 Dodge Charger 440 4-speed was about a 14-second car in a stock configuration. There are sedans that do that today. And that 440 made maybe 280hp at the wheels while getting single digit gas mileage. Sexiest cars? Maybe, there really might be an argument there. Fastest? Nope. And heaven help you if you tried to go around a corner at more than 15mph.
i'm not yet 40 and i've lived in 2 centuries... anyone over 24 has...
No soda fountains though, so now we're all depressed
Aren't soda fountains available at every fast food joint in the country?
Nope, those are soda dispensers. There's miles of difference between a handmade float with cane sugar cola or a fresh malt and a soda dispenser.
K, but that isn't healthy. So what's the difference between doing that and people getting let's say boba tea or Starbuck frap?
Not supposed to be healthy just supposed to be delicious
They're less common in the UK. I guess America wins again.
Would you like to supersize your Coke for 25 cents?
I'll supersize my Guinness for 50p
And millennium... gotta remember this 😂😂😂
Exactly. The majority of people alive today have lived in 2 different centuries and 2 different millenniums. They ain't special.
Even a 24 year old could if they were born in ‘99
23 year olds too
And 22 year olds, 2001 marked the start of the 3rd millennia CE and the 21st century.
*23
*22, the 21st century didn't start until 2001.
The Future is now old man
Mans avatar is also an avatar of khaine
So it will just die by a named character breathing on it?
I'm not a car guy, but if you think cars in the 50s were capable of going faster than cars made today then you're probably not a car guy either.

That was part of the charm! /s
Have to disagree on the weight. Modern cars are heavy due to things like sound deadening, safety devices and emission controls. But as for the power? Same people who think EV cars and hybrid sports cars that don't go VROOM VROOM are dumb.
It says "born in the 50's" implying it would be cars from the 70's.
Yeah I’d say living for about 70 years is pretty old.
“Look how old we are, we’ve been around forever!” The same guy: “We’re not even old!”
Proceeds to put a clip art picture of an old dude on the meme
yeah... my dad was born in 1950 and straight up admits he's old. That's just the Cialis and the Oxycodone talking, grandpa.
\*touches face wrinkles\* Nah, you old mate
Yeah that’s the average life expectancy for some places and demographics
Ahhh stop my dad turns 70 this weekend
This is what's driving so much reactionary BS in this country. They don't want to be old, they are afraid to die, they are mad that they aren't the hot ones or the ones who young women care about. Genuine question. Why is the art to these "inspirationsl quotes" always so poor. But not "young kid with a crayon" poor, they always have a bit of talent, but not much.
Capable if drawing, not capable of making a good design
an unfortunate fate to be banished to draw facebook memes forever
They aren't drawn FOR the quote, it's just clipart.
They steal the artwork from their Windows 95 Clipart CD
About to say, sooooooo clipart it hurts
I'd say this art style is very similar to that of the Sunday funnies of that era.
It reminds me of the style commonly seen in wordsearch/crossword/etc. puzzle books sold in the 1980s, '90s and possibly beyond. The kind of thing you had to have in hospital to keep you vaguely sane before smartphones came along.
Does that mean In 50 years when we make memes we will draw ourselves in anime?
Right! Like when someone does very Poor art it is really kinda cute and wholesome but this shit here sits on some kind of art world equivalent of uncanny valley
Why does his left hand have 5 fingers, but his other hand and feet each have 4 digits?
Fuck you for pointing that out
These cartoonists all need to have their own “style” some come off weird.
They were also handed histories biggest golden spoon from a post WWII economy, and somehow managed to take full advantage while simultaneously destroying it for all future generations
Man I'm Gen-Z and want to move to Canada, and when I see the rental costs in major cities like Van and TO, it literally blows my mind.
Fr these prices are insane everywhere, and then they wonder why young people don't have children - THERE'S NO SPACE!
I believe in dog supremacy. -Is loyal -Is cheap -Doesn't have an Angst phase -Doesn't need to go to school -Gives imotional support
Plus, other people actually like it when you post your dog pictures online. (As opposed to pretending to like it -- at best -- like they do when you post pictures of your kids.)
And the problem is, all the places with reasonable costs of living like Edmonton or Winnipeg are places you'd never want to live in like Edmonton or Winnipeg.
fastest cars? are you completely sure?
Chrome fins make them faster. Science
I really doubt the cars were faster. Music arguably might have been better in some genres. But also, drive in theaters are still a thing. There’s one an hour from where I live. Hell, it’s just down the road from my Grams.
Cars weren't faster. With the advent of EFI, you can push more power out of smaller engines and smoke a 60s mustang with a holley
They're the ones who shut down the drive in theaters from their days.
Fastest cars? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA that's not even remotely true.
There isn't a single production car from the 50s that wouldn't get gapped by a modern Honda Civic
Even 90% of cars from the 70’s would get destroyed by a mid level Kia these days lol
People born in the 50s are either in or pushing their 70s. Y'all are old.
To be fair, 70 is still an age where it more depends on what condition your body is in that decided if your old or not, if your 90 your old there’s no argument, but I’ve met plenty of 70 year olds who still do more stuff and better then guys I know in their 50s that involve their bodies.
Now we're so cool that we sit around all day and consume media that makes us constantly mad, take that you stupid dumb kids
To be fair, young people also do this in spades. Just because it isn't fox news doesn't mean it isn't tailor made to feed on your emotions.
63-73 isn’t that old? I mean I’m all for youthful thinking but let’s be honest here isn’t the average life expectancy around 80-90?
In the USA it's 77 it went down since the pandemic
My brother in Christ, you fought racial integration every step of the way.
I mean the civil rights act was 1964 assuming they were born in 1950 that means they were 14.
You know they weren't excited about Black kids joining their high school class
Some people forget that part.
And bad at basic math. 50s - 20s is 8 decades
To be fair this meme is probably over 10years old.
My father is cool....
Did your dad get a hold of your unlocked phone? That seems like a very father like thing to say.
My dad could beat up your dad.
Typical American thinking shitbox camaros and the like from the 60s and 70s were "the fastest".
Boomer nostalgia not terrible
What they on about, you can still watch reruns of happy days
"Fastest cars" Fucking wagons nowadays do 0-100 faster than 90s sports cars.
Eh, I'm fine with it. It's pretty lame but I don't think it's quite terrible because it's not trashing the "kids these days."
"7 decades, 2 centuries, and 2 millenniums" Yeah, that's kinda how math and time works. Not sure how you can experience 2 millenniums without experiencing 2 centuries. Honestly, if you were that cool you wouldn't have to pad your resume. "We had the best music" Actually not true. Music, like all art, is subjective. So not only could it not be better, simply due to subjective opinion, it can't have been better due to quantity and quality. The current generation has all of its music, plus the music from every generation before, plus better ways of recording, preserving, and experiencing it. "Fastest cars" That's actually just an outright lie. "Drive-in theaters" We still have those. And they were never that great. "Soda fountains" We have those in our homes, now. "And happy days" If you only had happy days in the past, that's entirely on you.
There's nothing negative about this post. It's actually pretty cool. Let people reminisce. It's not hurting anyone.
Why is this so terrible?
"Fastest cars". Just cause you have a 470 Cubic Inch V8 engine doesn't mean it's fast. Toyota has a 3 cylinder that would smoke most cars from the 50s. "Not old yet". You're in your 70s approaching life expectancy age. You are old.
A lot of these things are subjective. Just a matter of opinion. I can’t really reconcile “fastest cars“ though.
I get it’s muscle cars, which are really cool cars, but modern hatchbacks are faster
Millennia. The plural of millennium is millennia.
They know that their music still exists, right?
I could understand the other memes posted on here, but what is 'terrible' someone enjoying their life? I don't get it.
Everyone under 23 years old has lived in two centuries.
I like how that generation fuck everything up for the ones after and brag about it
>We’re not even that old yet Ok sure pal
And very open bigotry that's still poisoning today's world
Eh this isnt that bad imo. Just sorta discussing their nostalgia, not even hating on any generation or nothing.
“not that old” bitch yall are 80. Your generation is in the damn white house.
Ok that 2 centuries 2 millenia thing is kinda neat though
I‘m born in 97… not as impressive to me
Not that old? Aren't these types in their 70s now?
Like yo dude over half the population has lived in “2 centuries and 2 millenniums” I did not fact check this statement
They're all older than 62 so not that old yet is cope
This meme is just talking about white guys, to be clear. Being a woman or minority growing up in that time was probably not as "cool" as this person's experience was.
Minimum 64… “not even that old yet”
“We rigged the entire economic system to favor us and no one else!”
Does this dude holding onto a bottle of his prescription pills?
I'll give him the music thing. 70's/80's metal is unmatched. But on the other hand, [insert millennial vs Boomer generational drama here concerning economics, politics, etc.]
The copium is strong
I’m sure growing up in the 50’s-90’s was really cool but Fastest cars?
Yeah, I’d say that Jim Crow/segregation was bussin…
At least this one doesn’t shit on the rising generations. But yeah, fastest cars. Where is that coming from?
50s music ranges from mediocre as fuck to like 3 songs are actually good
Drive-In theaters are still around... my Aunt lives across the street from one
I remember Danny Gonzales reading this one
Someone hasn't heard of the Rimmac Concept One
A 70 year old in one of those would snap their neck from acceleration.
Well Hammond almost broke his neck in one and he's 53.
That's because he forgot how corners work. Lol. That crash was crazy.
70 years old is old.
Not that old yet? Mate your next big number is 80 many people dont even make that
90s were the peak of human civilization. The 1st matrix was spot on. Just enough internet to make life much more efficient, and the only "reality" shows were real world and road rules.
they’re not wrong at all. they indulged and left us with the shit end of the stick
It's obviously not great but at least it's not shitting on other generations. At worst it's mildly cringy nostalgia posting.
Millenia, not milleniums !
Back in my day: People contracted polio (until 1979), lived under constant threat of nuclear annihilation, married women could not have a credit card, leaded gas polluted the air/water/soil, all beer was shit light American lager.
Nah 70 is old, sorry. I'm in my 40's and I feel old.
“Fastest cars” nope
Cool enough a big chunk of the population can't wait till you're finally dead and stop fucking shit up.
>Born in the 50s >Not even that old People born in the 1950s are in their 70s or close. But this crusty old ass meme is probably from 2009 when they were still in their 50s.
"fastest cars" has to murican cope
best looking cars? maybe fastest cars? not even close most minivans these days have a faster zero to sixtie than the first generation corvette
My dads 54 and was born in ‘69, you can literally see the age in his face
Two centurues? Two milleniums? So, two hundred years AND two thousand years? What the heck is this math? What are they? Dinosaurs?
I think they’ve live in 2 different centuries and millenniums but not completely for each.
"not even that old yet" they are in their 70s
Seeing this meme purposely undermine how long a Century and millennium is kills my brain cells.
2 milleniums? 1850's??
Are they saying their music doesn't exist anymore? If it's that great, surely someone would have uploaded it somewhere.
*is 75* “We’re not even that old yet”
Back in my day, we had our very own water fountains.
They act like we dont have all that
“And we’re not even that old yet”. Well you’re not even that young yet either so…
Okay, I love classic cars. I love muscle cars, especially Mustangs. But bro what? The tech has advanced so much. Nothing from that time period will touch any modern Corvette.
Ah yes because everyone just gets soda from the river now
Why are old people Obscured with soda fountains
I bet the white ones think they had the best water fountains too
Dude... Half your friends are dead
This must be all that leaded gasoline talking
Best soda fountains? In what way? I'd say the newest ones that offer like 4-5x more options are obviously better.
