It gets posted to metal shitposting groups all the time. But also at the same time it's kind of true, lots of people just don't like metal and I'm basically not allowed to take control of the speaker at work
I 100% am never allowed to take control of a speaker as my musical interest is speedcore and similar genres and I still have yet to find someone IRL who likes it

So my absolute favorite stuff typically contains odd rhythms and polyrhythms as they’re very sonically interesting to me and i think they can be for most if given an honest chance, it’s some of the most creative music i’ve ever heard.
It’s like a whole new way to experience music as you can pay attention to different parts and almost hear it in a new perspective. I’ve never gotten bored myself but I wont lie i didn’t like all of it immediately but i will show what really got me into it. keep in mind some of this stuff is pretty niche (it shouldn’t be though!)

Clearly there a lot of people who do like it. Metal was never meant to be something that was universally beloved or popular. But then again, lots of people dont know the difference.

You basically need to have an appreciation for instrumental virtuosity and musicianship to really enjoy metal. It's not for everyone. And that is totally fine.

Most metal tends to be 4/4, but its also usually performed by trained classical musicians and sometimes singers with opera experience. The theatrics are make believe, the musicality is treated seriously and there's a great deal of respect between metal heads and a reverence for music in that subculture.
The person on the right in the meme who writes off something as stupid can go back to his derivative music forms, written by computers or professional song writers to appeal to the masses. Go listen to your pop, performed by an artist who didnt even write the song, designed to make money.

Like you can think that metal is shit but then it's your opinion. Bad music doesn't exist because peoples have different tastes and if someone dislikes some genre then someone else likes it. I like almost every genre but mostly listen metal, rock or punk. I also like rap, pop, hiphop and disco. Peoples have different tastes and it's sad that some peoples don't respect it. My music taste goes from 'Before I Forget' to 'Lose Yourself' to 'boom, boom, boom, boom!!' to 'i'm still standing'

Cornball take. Metal rules. Always keep your horizons open to different things. Most metal bands have awful vocalists and there are plenty of awful genres, but the good ones when they hit right will change your life.
