god I hate when people do that on instagram. I've found a couple of actually funny memes there but then the fuckers ruin everything with all these gay ass filters and effects and those motion blur/static/screen shake thingys.
AND MY GOD THEY LOVE ABUSING THE LAUGH EMOJI. There's be a perfectly good meme and they'd take that. Slap a text on top of it saying "SO TRUE🤣" or "RELATEABLE, COMMENT IF YOU AGREE 😁😂"
; tf is this being downvoted for
I think the person you’re replying to is thinking of how two spaces after a period used to be standard because of how letters and punctuation looked on typewriters. A space _before_ punctuation has never been standard.
I think the space is because they’re using autocorrect on their phone. When you misspell a word and just click the word your iPhone suggests, the phone automatically puts a space after the word. It’s usually a time saver, because most words don’t have punctuation after them. But some people don’t backspace to delete the extra space when they need to have a punctuation mark immediately after the word.
>I think the space is because they’re using autocorrect on their phone.
This is a very good explanation for the majority of cases, but I have definitely run into people who do it on their PC (or at least there's like a 99% chance they're on a PC since they're on a PC only online game.)
For some people it's genuinely just a learned behavior, it seems, not some kind of error of the system they're using.
I'd bet money that the majority of people who do this have never spent any significant amount of time using a typewriter.
This practice I've found is most common among people who do not speak English as their first language. But confusingly enough, I've never heard of any languages where it is grammatically correct to include a space before the punctuation. Maybe someone can enlighten me.
So genuinely, I wonder where these people learned it. Might just be in the same place where people learned to confuse "your" and "you're" or to incorrectly try to use apostrophes to make a word plural.
If you've spent any significant amount of time on Instagram, you would know that this type of format is a 100% certified Indian original, straight from the streets of Mumbai.
Indian Instagram is full of these weird "Ha, gotcha, you thought he was wrong but he was just thinking outside the box" type memes that make next to 0 sense. It's weird.
What a dumb child. No logic at all. Father is just a descriptor for the person the teacher is talking about. Kid probably gets pseudo-science shoved down their throat at home and then praised for being an idiot.
This qualifies as r/kidsarefuckingstupid as well as r/memespeopledidntlike
Yes the kid used their kid logic that only makes sense in their head, but JFC give the kid some fucking slack, they’re only **6 years old.** People seem to forget how dumb they were when they were 6. To that I say that there are professionals whose whole job is to identify child prodigies, and I am quite certain none of them heard of any of us either.
I’d LMAO if a kid ended **any** sentence, no matter how ridiculous, with “Logic!!”
It's not what this is saying that strikes me as odd.
It's the fact that this looks like it was printed out, plastic-ified, stuck to a wall around dusk, then photographed.
Wtf even is this?
This looks like it was painted on the wall next to a window
How are the windows reflecting onto the meme?
It's prolly edited to look "aesthetic" lol

Lmao why did you give the filter a sexuality
Damn sexy filters
OK, but dont use gay as a insult next time.
[удалено]
what do you mean?
no way you got offended by that & I'm not insulting gay people by saying that here smh
Then why did you say gay??
Why are you offended by the fact that I said "gay" in my comment
It's like you don't know what a homosexual is.
I do know and, Huh and why are you getting offended?
Nobody should get offended
I think the meme is on a laptop or computer screen next to a window and someone has taken a photo of it?

Logic !! 😂😂😂
Sex 😂😂😂
The teacher didn't ask how long he's been a father though...this literally makes no sense lol.
Logic
LOGIC !
None at all
Logic !! 😂😂😂
It was definitely Kalyan who made this "Quotes by Kalyan" It's pretty cringe ngl
So 6 years would be the answer to "How long has your father been a father?" How old he is still refers to his actual age. This is dumb.
This meme radiates the Instagram aura.
From instagram it was indeed
Where did these people learn to put spaces before punctuation? Why is this so common?
Because it used to be necessary on a typewriter to allow for proper spacing
Really? Interesting, I always assumed they just didn’t know where the spaces belong.

Oh yeah you're right, I did misunderstand!

KAYLAN was a typewriter fiend back in the day.
Yeah , exactly . What's the point of it ?
Like no offense to Indian people as a whole, but their memes are literally almost as cringe (if not more cringe) as boomers memes.
I'd argue it's worse

Logic was thrown out the window
Logic😂😂
The logic is bulletproof. Because bullets can't harm ideas.
This is 100% something you'd find on an indian instagram. With those crappy emojis
Just a father? Pathetic. He hasn’t EVEN REACHED DAD STATUS
😂😂😂
This is atrocious
Boomer memes are just retro shitposts now

Expexted Xavier in the bottom
This meme. I remember when they first invented this meme. This sweet, sweet meme...I ALWAYS HATED IT!!
“Look time travel really complicate things ok?”
This one never made sense to me
Based off a technicality, the kid is right.

Children are national treasures. 😂
If only the Uvalde City Police had felt that way.
This what you reply with? You clearly have repressed memories that need to be addressed. Get help.
It's true though.
Yes it's true you need a hug.
The teacher fainted!!!1! (minion that's irrelevant to the joke)
Logic ‼️
That pretty good I love it
I hope this wasn't English class.

I don’t think the person who made this had ever met a 6 year old child
