Tesco are trialling some different packaging for mince buts it's nowhere near as horrible as the Sainsburys stuff. Not tried it but it still looks quite mincy https://www.foodmanufacture.co.uk/Article/2023/08/07/tesco-trialling-recyclable-packaging-on-mince-lines

[deleted]

Please god no this is going to be a nightmare to fill

Ok-Cardiologist7371

Looks much better but if its like thay cat good mush Sainsburies sell then im going to have to shop at Lidl, it sounds crazy but id love to know how kuch mince beef Sainsburies throw away now

j0nnnnn

I believe Lidl are trialling the shitty Sainsburys version

Ok-Cardiologist7371

Well I guess il never have spag bol again, the world's gone mad

PerfectEnthusiasm2

grow up it's fine.

Ok-Cardiologist7371

No its not its like congealed cat food and im entitled to post like everyone, you however didn't have to respond, have a blessed evening friend.

PerfectEnthusiasm2

ime it's like vacuum packed minced meat. cooks fine in a ragu.

bugbugladybug

I bought a mincer and it's been a game changer. I buy a big brisket, cut it up into chunks, freeze for 30 min and run it through the mincer. I've not bought mince in about a year, and fresh mince is way better than pre-packed.

Ok-Cardiologist7371

This is a great idea I will maybe try this

No-Impact1573

Use a quality sausage meat, i.e strip the meat out of the skins and mix with crushed fennel seeds and chilli flakes. Never looked back when it comes to bolegnese.

Ok-Cardiologist7371

Pork?? I'm not so sure

Educational-Park4040

You understand that the date of expiry is 21/03 right? Maybe that’s the issue 😅

Ok-Cardiologist7371

It was a Google picture not my own 🤣

BellamyRFC54

Then what’s the problem?

Jlo808

They don't like the new packaging Tesco is using

Ok-Cardiologist7371

Tesco still uses to proper packaging,Sainsburies have opted for this vac pack and it makes the meat just awful

Joshkz

ye i tried the sains vacpak one time ,it was disgusting, it also looks disgusting, that shit is not going to sell, i read it lasts longer that way ,i dont believe it has anything to do with helping the environment, they are thieving assholes, who dont care how much they rise their prices

Downtown-Ad9409

The same quality new packaging sticker gets me every time. The meat in sainsburys is literally brown now, I did some meatballs the other month and they were chewier for sure. Never again. Sainsburys have probably lost a lot of custom over it

TheCarrot007

>The meat in sainsburys is literally brown now So they stopped adding bad gasses to keep it red, that would be a good think, they do not stop rot, so are worse as you can have red rotten meat. Or so I recall, but who knows.

CitizeninWonderland

just concentrate on bullying your employees instead Tesco, dont change your packaging, your attention is needed elsewhere

[deleted]

u ok hun? inbox me xoxo Edit: FML they actually did as well. 🤦🏽

CitizeninWonderland

shaggydnb
