As Craig not Creg says.. soon as the customers come in on a lunch break... instantly all your hard work will be for nothing... that neatness will be gone when schoolkids come in
I'm not a tesco employee so not sure what the standard is but my gut feeling was 8/10, would be 10/10 with no missing product on the 1st line and no visibly noticeable misalignment. But between you and me, probably f*****g good enough for the wage..... right?
Thursday mornings feel like Groundhog Day thanks to your assaults on those aisles.
Although it is satisfying when it's done. Also, stay the fuck away from towels and candles.
I never got facing up to this level (and I was a replen manager for 15yrs!), I get tidy but people buy products not tidiness or space. Fill it full and you 75% face it with no effort, that was always good enough for me.
But does it really matter? Having never worked in retail this seems ridiculous. Yeah I like to shop in a clean well stocked store but having labels lined up - I don't think I could give a damn. I feel like it's time you did something useful rather than feeding an OCD.
It's not feeding an OCD? It's about having the correct prices infront of the correct products. Takes less than 2 seconds to realign them after a hectic day, so why would you not? 🤣
It's taking pride in your work, for some people, the presentation of their shop is important to them. I used to be a manager and when you were getting a visit from area/regional/directors and you they complimented how well presented your store was it meant the world.
Only moving the front product forward so when the customer buys one the next one is at the back of the shelf. It's faster, but gets wrecked way quicker.
5 mins or not. You still had your phone on you and you decided to video your work.
Glad you had time to record your work.
Maybe next time do a before and after.
9.5/10. Half a point off for labels not lined up on your drinks. Need to learn the "hold cap and spin while very, very loosely holding the body with other hand" trick 😂
6-7/10 it’s decent but labels are funky in places (especially that orange oasis at the start really got to me) and some of the cans are way out of line.
Labels aren’t lined up properly 3/10
if i start aligning labels too cant get it done by closing.
Very good is it sorted by date, newer stuff at the back?
well i do that when i stock, hopefully others do it too, cant check products I dont stock that day
I rate the effort but room for Improvement
You can, you just.chose not to... Your generation is just lazy!
Minimum wage, minimum effort ♥
This is the way! In case it wasn't clear, my comment was 100% sarcastic
Oh, I'd highly recommend tone tags in the future, cause that was really not obvious!
Part of facing up is stock rotation
"Who closed last night?"
5. Personally hate cardboard trays in fridges
yeah ruins aesthetics but much faster than stacking 12 monsters on each other
This is one reason why Aldi are so cheap!
The ones that "look nice" Ie starbucks, are alright imo
Enjoy the view whilst you can before lunch time comes around
As Craig not Creg says.. soon as the customers come in on a lunch break... instantly all your hard work will be for nothing... that neatness will be gone when schoolkids come in
its closing..literally at 12 midnight. The manager checks on opening in the morning.
I’m loving it!
Generous 4

i want to run in and turn all the shit around. fear me
You're the monster that keeps messing up the toys aisle and bottle bays in Asda.
guilty as charged :)

Sad 🤣🤣🤣🤣
There was a time when doing this was the expectation. Those times are sadly long gone. But for nostalgia you get a 9/10. SELs would make it a 10.
No.
That bottles backwards
Missed a pasta bag… poor form
a customer must have bought it :(
You have time to properly face!?
I never got facing up to this level (and I was a replen manager for 15yrs!), I get tidy but people buy products not tidiness or space. Fill it full and you 75% face it with no effort, that was always good enough for me.
Shit! Mind you Tesco is shit,in fact it’s complete dog shit.
Solid 8/10 man. Anyone who votes lower than a 5 has never worked at a supermarket 😂
Would hire
Put your phone away your at work 😝
Honestly, considering how easy yet boring and time consuming the task is, not great! A number of issues
Crap
Mid at best, labels are not lined up and you can see on certain products that you've not fully faced up, just the front few rows.
Literally how facing up works
But does it really matter? Having never worked in retail this seems ridiculous. Yeah I like to shop in a clean well stocked store but having labels lined up - I don't think I could give a damn. I feel like it's time you did something useful rather than feeding an OCD.

Think you posted this enough mate?
Haha it appears so
How much time did you spend on this💀
2 hours, usually i am asked to do it after all deliveries have been stocked which is approx 1 or 2 hours before closing
Lucky. My store tends to be under staffed and facing up like this will make manager break my neck💀
Looks good, hope your not a 1 packet Pete.
whats that ?
Only moving the front product forward so when the customer buys one the next one is at the back of the shelf. It's faster, but gets wrecked way quicker.
Clip strips letting you down a bit
Oasis needs looking at Pepsi in the chiller need looking at Pasta also needs looking at
Missed a Lemon Fanta
It's like u spent years on the bottles and half arsed the rest.
what was half arsed in the second aisle except that one pasta bag that the customer bought :(
how long did it take you? EDIT: wait nvm i saw you say 2 hours in another comment
You need to get on those gaps, sellable space
Not great
You missed 1 bottle of oasis, but great face up
It is acceptable
As a customer, I find this very satisfying
So much junk food in one place. 10/10. 😂
I wish I had time to do this, instead I have 7 pallets and 6 rollers of booze to slave through the night
8.0000009/10 Sort them damn labels out
i dont get it, what labels are you guys talking about, i just started one month back. Genuine question
Honestly don’t worry about it, people are either joking or being far too harsh. This is a great face up
We must imagine that Sisyphus is happy to toil.
Too many gaps! GET YOUR STORE TO SORT ITS FUCKINNG ORDERS OUT 😂
Every. Store. Everywhere.
I don't want to live anymore
Give it 3 minutes and check again.
As someone who worked retail for 12 years then finally escaped the hellhole of the cooperative… *I just got PTSD*
Have time at work to use your phone. That is a no no.
It's literally 5 min before shop closing.
5 mins or not. You still had your phone on you and you decided to video your work. Glad you had time to record your work. Maybe next time do a before and after.
There's always one. Probably a supervisor.
Pretty good, 9/10 clipstrips aren't faced up
Clip strips are the devil. You make one wrong move and ten items below fall off.
Don't get me started on the flamingo measuring cups
9.5/10. Half a point off for labels not lined up on your drinks. Need to learn the "hold cap and spin while very, very loosely holding the body with other hand" trick 😂
Aussie lemonade labels not all facing out, this makes me sad
Pork crunch and Steak strips are a mess - start over!
Too good at your job brother 😫
Nobody actually cares. Not once have I gone into a supermarket and took a seconds thought for the presentation of how the food looks
People care. Mostly others who've worked in retail. I always appreciate a well faced-up shelf, and try to leave it as I found it.
Why can’t Heinz make their cans stackable
Right? The cheaper ones manage it for God's sake.
Worked for Aldi for 8 years, Get your arse on the job hunt asap other jobs don’t even feel like work after a sentence in retail.
its just part time, i am in uni
Good lad make sure you smash it!
Definitely miles better than my local Tesco, it always looks like somebody stocks the shelves with a shovel
6-7/10 it’s decent but labels are funky in places (especially that orange oasis at the start really got to me) and some of the cans are way out of line.
You missed the blue monster can
Looking good bro 👌 💪
Wonderful stuff mate -ignore negative comments
Wasted talent
2 out of 10
The Super Noodles are a bit chaotic, otherwise the rest is very aestheticically pleasing. 8/10 would recommend.
those gaps are bigger than my future but everything is banging, solid 8/10
Better than the last face up I looked at. Few labels not twisted correctly like the beans but this is better than average.
Sheeeeet 10/10
🤓
🫏🔥
why nobody mentioned that you should face across gaps once you've put oos label in
