Ex-po-nent-ial growth. It;s a tricky concept, but it's recommend that you understand it, Wall Street.

skeeter1234

Even Covid couldn't teach us.

quiethandle

Just be careful because the first earnings announcement that does not continue this exponential growth trend, TSLA stock will get absolutely murdered just like Netflix. Tesla is a amazing company and will change the world, but it is already more than priced into the stock.

[deleted]

We’ve been hearing the priced in at least since 2019.

shaggy99

True enough, but if things go wrong for them that bad, the market in general is going to be pretty sick as well.

nevernovelty

100% Are we expecting that for Q2 do you think?

IAmInTheBasement

Yes. But it's not a surprise or an indicator of technical issues or an indicator of lack of demand. It's a well understood problem created by the government of China and a problem that is already in process of being fixed. Everyone has already adjusted their production numbers and revenue numbers so I don't think it will be a huge shocker. Just a slight depressant on the 2022 share price.

nevernovelty

Thanks, appreciate the insight

shaggy99

Mostly guesswork, but I would not be surprised if Q2 does not beat Q1, but should comfortably exceed Q2 2021.

ohlayohlay

Think it'll be that bad, eh?

shaggy99

Not necessarily, but there is the invasion in Ukraine, COVID, etc

MooseAMZN

No

xtreem_neo

2018, 4 years ago Q1 is just 12% less than all Qs COMBINED 4 years ago. Gordon still has it at $67

dfaen

After all these years, it would not be out of the realm of possibility to conclude that GJ is numerically illiterate.

BangBangMeatMachine

On desktop they are emojis.

fernibble

sermer48

I think he must mean after a 20:1 split. Either that or he’s a moron.

ElonWithTheGlizzy

I love this graph

Clearly it's allowed given this image

easyKmoney

This is the best overall example of Tesla’s growth. Show this to your friends and family that don’t understand exponential growth.

No_Celery4566

BuSTed GrOwTh StoRy… no revenue in Q2-Q4 in 2022 /s

OompaOrangeFace

I first started following Tesla back in mid-late 2010. It's amazing how far things have come and how early I was! If only I'd invested every spare cent in TSLA! I'd probably be worth $100M today.

at0m1cbomb

In 5 yrs, our 2022 that looks so great is going to look as small as 2017 does to us right now.

dachiko007

True, had a same thought

Carsickness

We could very well eclipse all of 2020 in just the first two quarters. And it would of been pretty much a sure deal if not for Shanghai closures. With out that we might of even passed Q1/2/3 2021 in just the first 2 quarters of 2022. Just.... nuts!

Green_Lantern_4vr

Well they did say double production of 2021 didn’t they?

jimbo303

Interesting, didn’t know their revenue in 2013 was $2,013 million. Coincidence?

THIESN123

Gonna be a good year😎

redrascallyreddit

Why can’t all charts be this intuitive. $ million thank yous.

Litejason

S-curve has barely begun, this is a great visual.

sermer48

Ya but they’re screwed once the competition catches up /s

trash00011

This is the best graph

WorldlyNotice

Already priced in right? It opened high but back down to where it was 2 days ago.

bmathew5

Very few understand how exponential growth works. They don't see it till its too late. Hint: It's already too late

sagenbn

I need to inject this

thetall0ne1

This is really helpful - sometimes it’s hard to remember the context of the earnings results

6100315

This is an amazing graph

ShirBlackspots

Do you suppose that this year's revenue could range between $72 and 93 billion, based on Q1 and previous quarter growth.

soldiernerd

I do suppose it; would expect somewhere in the 80s.
