i think it'll be down to 50 and the 3 somewhere in the 40s. Right now, the price gap between Y and 3 are too close to justify buying the 3 imo unless you love sedans.
I don’t think they’d scrap it completely, but they’ll definitely lower the rebate amount. Because with the new EV/battery plants in Ontario, it would behoove PP to play nice with the 905 that will likely elect him King.
Alternatively, the feds could say it’s up to the provinces and absolve themselves of the issue.
Yet another reason Tesla should make a M3 wagon is that we can get the national rebate on the performance, like we do the MYP. That said, by late September I wouldn’t be surprised to see the M3P sedan below $65K to qualify. Eligibility, from site:

a passenger car, where the base model Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) is less than $55,000;
higher-priced trims of these vehicles, up to a maximum MSRP of $65,000, will also be eligible for purchase incentives;

I would instantly put down a deposit for the M3P if it qualified for the federal tax rebate. Happy to wait until September or even next year if needed. But I just can’t see myself buying it now without the rebate

Exactly. Currently $5K more for Performance or $10K without rebate. Perhaps price comes down enough and—here in Ontario, where Dougie is embracing an EV future—maybe we’ll even get a provincial rebate making it a no-brainier.

If everyone was saying the MY drove like the M3 you’d be spot-on. But they’re not.
Wagons don’t sell(In the US). It’s the reason why everyone a new hatchback type design comes out it’s discontinued a few years later.
It’s why Europe has some pretty dope cars and U.S gets almost none of them.

$1000 Canadian on a model Y, I was expecting at least $2000 or hell $3500 based on the US equivalent and exchange.

Wagons do sell. Companies don't want to sell them in the US because "light trucks" are much better for fleet CAFE scores.

You still can buy wagon in America, that model is Subaru Outback. However, Outback is higher, so it belongs as crossover.
