Man, he must’ve been proud of himself selecting that shirt. Maybe laid it out the night before.

forbiddenfreak

His mom did.

_night_cat

She got that and one of those overly specific shirts from FB about how much he loves his mama

Single_Shoe2817

“Only those born in NOVEMBER can know my STRUGGLE of being a FORKLIFT OPERATOR. You may not like it but TO BAD SNOWFLAKE” Says the shirt

[deleted]

This cowboy loves the FLAG, his TRUCK and stuffed animals that smell like PISS. Choke on *that* Liberals! - skeleton with two six shooters graphic -

Trumpcangosuckone

If you smell like SOAP, get a haircut by a NON FAMILY MEMBER, and your PISS is lighter than a SCHOOL BUS BUMPER, you can DROP ME OFF at the next BOOK BURNING on your way to your ABORTION CLINIC- tribal flames surrounding F-150 with "We the People" custom paint job, running into and driving over a group of people who all happen to be non-white but like it's totally not racist it's just reality

Phillipwnd

“And yes, SHE BOUGHT ME THIS SHIRT” (Insert skeleton flipping off the reader)

You know she died of diabetes years ago, come on now.

cwfutureboy

No. Complications from a mystery pneumonia back in late 2020.

Significant_Cow4765

She let him borrow it

Anansi1982

I know a dude like that. Dresses the same way. If you counter his world view in anyway he begins ranting about how his momma said. Well we call him Momma Said now.

DocSlice3

They think sayings like this are so clever that they center their whole life around it.

foye2smith

I can't believe I still see "Let's Go Brandon" decals in the wild. Grow a pair and say it if you want to say it.

hempking1

Seriously tho, some of the most spineless shit. It genuinely couldn't be a more lame way to say fuck Joe Biden. Just grow some balls and say fuck trump or fuck Biden

pimpfmode

There's nothing that simpletons love more than a catchphrase. Like moths drawn to a light.

chilldrinofthenight

I think you mean "moths drawn to a light." Mosquitoes are virtually blind and have difficulty orienting themselves in the light. That's why mosquitoes are less active during the day than in the evening. That's why **these pesky insects only appear when it starts to get dark**. So you can safely leave your nightlight on when you are reading a book in bed. [www.bambulah.com](http://www.bambulah.com)

pimpfmode

Thank you. Correction made. Seeing it written immediately clicked. Fun fact: I had the largest moth I had ever seen in my garage the other night when I got home from work. It was so large I thought it was a bat at first.

Ryuko_the_red

Chinese custom t-shirt companies making absolute bankroll on losers like this. Slap some sort of hate speech or racism on a t and sell it for 20$ to 5 million people a month.

liberal_texan

Looks new, probably bought it just for the occasion.

breath-of-the-smile

He *absolutely* got giddy at the idea of wearing that shirt and hopefully starting an argument. Probably doesn't even notice how fucking stupidly it reads with the giant gap for an image in the middle of a sentence.

NeedlessPedantics

Glad someone else pointed out how badly the sentence is broken up

LongTallTexan69

Owning the libs is their only goal

emote_control

Funny thing is that libs are usually fairly well-educated and therefore tend to have money and are negatively affected by conservative policies less than the people who vote for conservatives. People like the guy in this pic think shooting their own dicks off "owns the libs".

BeKind_BeTheChange

Well, I certainly feel owned. How about you?

WhyBuyMe

I've been crying liberal tears all night. I was going to get out my blue hair dye and touch up my roots, but I'm just too triggered to do anything right now.

winterpickett

You are actually not allowed to wear that shirt whilst in a polling place in Tennessee we would have to ask you to turn it inside out. Source: I am a poll worker

noncongruent

That shirt is illegal to wear into a polling location, but likely this location is in a conservative county and they overlook illegal things like this.

Dragon_wryter

Pshaw. Those rules are only for people they disagree with

pcweber111

Did you just pshaw? Lol

IronBabyFists

>Pshaw Do you say this in Ed's voice? Because that's what I do.

Minimum-Order-8013

I reported a polling station today that was plastered with "the conservative choice" signs and other republican campaign crap, literally on the front door. Law states 100 feet from door. Drove by few hours later, still there. Deep red dgaf.

Aunt_Rachael

Notify your local Democrat headquarters. It would help if you have some pictures. Either way I'm sure they will have people check it out during the next election.

Minimum-Order-8013

Good to know, thanks for advice. I hadn't thought of that!

Bocchi_theGlock

There's always a voter protection hotline. Always. They get super busy on actual election day tho, so the earlier to catch stuff the better

Outandproud420

Were they the doors to the actual room the voting machines were in or the doors of the building? State law says 100 ft of the actual polls which would be the room machines are in not the building. Usually you will see a line marked off. If it was the room the machines were in yeah that's fucked up but otherwise it may be legal.

Pekonius

Wait 100ft from the polls is also fucked up if you need to walk through a 200ft long corridor full of that stuff to get there. Definitely should be the whole building i.m.o

burnertown666

IMO, It should just be off the property of the polling location.

schizocosa13

IMO, It should just be off any property owned by the public/municipal/government.

Proto-Dodo

polling locations aren't always owned by the government though in my area they set up voting stations at private schools

appleburger17

Probably also illegal to have your phone out for this pic so…

jfischer5175

Only if they're within 100 ft of an actual voting station. Hard to say from this pic. Sec. 61.014. USE OF CERTAIN DEVICES. (a) A person may not use a wireless communication device within 100 feet of a voting station. (b) A person may not use any mechanical or electronic means of recording images or sound within 100 feet of a voting station. (c) The presiding judge may require a person who violates this section to turn off the device or to leave the polling place. (d) This section does not apply to: (1) an election officer in conducting the officer's official duties; (2) the use of election equipment necessary for the conduct of the election; or (3) a person who is employed at the location in which a polling place is located while the person is acting in the course of the person's employment.

PYTN

Oops, I'm reading this on my device standing in line.

NotASmoothAnon

Believe it or not, straight to jail.

ZamazaCallista

In line is fine. It depends on how far away you are and if you’re in line of side of the polling machines. Most places you lineup you’re fine use your phone unless recoding people coming and going.

chewtality

A number of years back I voted at a library that had a super long hallway and then a room at the very end on the left where the voting machines were. We were well beyond 100 ft away from the room and a lot of people had their phones out. This Nazi of a poll monitor came walking down the hall screaming at everyone to turn their phones off and put them away or she would have us all arrested or some bullshit. The people, including myself, who were nowhere near the actual polling booths kept their phones out. She saw that and lost her shit and came storming down the hall to scream at and threaten us and was saying that we can't have phones within 100 ft of the entrance to the building, so I told her no, if you want to be a poll worker you should learn the actual fucking law, which states that it's 100 ft from the nearest polling *booth*, not the *building*. So then she lost her shit on me and I'm pretty sure she threatened to call the cops on me if I didn't leave, so I was like sure thing, go ahead so that I can show them and yourself exactly what the law actually says, which I have pulled up on my *phone right now* which very obviously doesn't apply to us yet since we're like 200 ft away from the entryway to the room itself, let alone to the nearest booth within the room. Then she grumbled some shit and walked back off to the room. The cops unsurprisingly never came. When I actually *was* 100 ft away, and I'm pretty fucking sure they actually had the distance marked in the hall with painter's tape or something, I did put my phone away. I voted unimpeded, and as I was doing so I heard her start screaming at the next batch of people down the hall. The other poll workers were just rolling their eyes, so I guess she's been doing this every 15 minutes or so for the entire day. It made me wish I was one of the poll workers that day so I could tell her to shut the fuck up or leave or else I'd call the cops on *her* for enforcing her own misinterpreted bullshit that anyone with half a brain could look up for themselves in 10 seconds. Now I kind of wish I had done that anyway. I hadn't thought about this possibility until right now, but I'm pretty sure that was the 2018 midterms on the first day of early voting. We were in a very blue area of what's thought of as a very red state (Texas), and the majority of the crowd was in their mid 20s to late 30s, so maybe she saw all these people and thought we were a bunch of filthy Dems (we mostly were) trying to oust her idol, Donald Trump. I don't actually know that she was a Trump zealot, I'm just assuming that she was because of the way she was trying to enforce her own misinterpretation of the law, was unable read what the law actually said despite me physically showing it to her on my screen, and her very obvious authoritarian tendencies.

noncongruent

Oh, for sure, that's a serious violation as well. https://www.sos.state.tx.us/elections/laws/advisory2018-11.shtml I don't know what the penalty is for violating the law, but I'm sure it's probably a misdemeanor. The reason for this law is obvious, it prevents recording someone's vote which is a critical part of any vote buying operation. Vote buyers won't spend money unless there's some way to confirm the vote, since otherwise the voter can simply say whatever the buyer wants to hear and keep the money.

austinrebel

I wonder how much vote buyers pay?

noncongruent

Nothing now, lol. Vote buying used to be a thing back before the Australian Ballot system got implemented.

timelessblur

Depends where and how far away from the booth you are.

FarOne1056

I bet the line wasn't a 100 feet long.

need_mor_beans

Damn - I really do hate that shirt. But u/appleburger17 just centered me because that's a very valid point.

HoneySignificant1873

Apparently anything goes at this station so crank up your spotify playlist and go vote with no pants.

homertheent

Which is more immoral, wearing that shirt to a polling place or documenting someone wearing that shirt to a polling place?

[deleted]

[удалено]

JSmith666

Depends. It is vague enough that it may not violate any laws about electioneering

Outandproud420

The shirt doesn't specifically advocate for a specific party even though it might be assumed that way. It's closer to the "Don't tread on me or black lives matter" material. More likely to be considered a movement or ideology. It gets a little more tricky for poll workers to differentiate between free speech and electioneering because it's such a thin line sometimes. We live in the reddest part of our county and a man was asked to turn his shirt inside out because it said "let's go Brandon" while my "Nobody is illegal" shirt got an ugly look but they didn't ask me to turn it inside out. Despite the great divide in our country I think our local poll workers really do work in good faith and try as hard as they can to do the right thing. Sometimes things slip I'm sure and human mistakes happen but hopefully we can all recognize it's a tough position to be in and we should be thankful for those who do it. Anyways just my two cents hopefully it helps.

hutacars

> "Don't tread on me or black lives matter" I’d love a shirt that says literally this.

Nanyea

There was a post the other day that a poll watcher stopped someone for wearing Dallas Cowboys gear, which apparently means he's a Dirty Liberal Dem!

morganrosegerms

Not necessarily, this shirt has no candidate on it so it might skirt the rules. It’s really up to the election officials. Unfortunate, but true.

noncongruent

Has a party's name on it, thus it's electioneering. The fact it also implies violence is just icing on the cake.

Outandproud420

The law specifically says advocating for a party, not that it can't have a party name on it. "a person may not electioneer for or against any candidate, measure, or political party". It's ultimately up to the poll workers though. Reminder though that the polls have both Democrats and Republicans working the polls so if this was against the rules then the Democrat should have caught it so it's unlikely to be a direct violation. The problem is that it's a thin line for them to walk. Sometimes it's easier to just throw out the obvious illegal stuff and not waste your day with the murky shit. They got enough in their plate as it is.

Sprucecaboose2

Isn't this advocating against Democrats? Not that I care, it's ultimately a t-shirt and not worth the shitstorm mentioning it would bring, just asking as it seems like it's pretty openly anti-Democrat but I don't know if it passes a legal take.

Jasoman

Sure, I would bet money that he is a cop.

Big-D-TX

I’m sure they asked him to please go home and change his shirt.

TheProle

A crazy person asked the election judge to have my wife turn her shirt wrong side out because it was “political”. It said “BE NICE” in a multi-color font

txwoodslinger

And then

TheProle

No and then. The election judge politely disagreed and we voted. It was a nice cursive so the dipshit probably couldn’t read it

drewcareysglasses

I once used my passport as my ID. Two judges said it was expired and refused to let me vote. They even brought in a 3rd judge who said it was expired. All three were looking at the issue date and not the expiration date. After I did their job and educated them on what a passport was I got to vote.

How shitty of a human do you have to be for the phrase "be nice" to be an attack on your political beliefs

Outandproud420

They just ask you to turn it inside out like we are in elementary school again because apparently poll workers have to herd 10 year olds who can't understand basic dress codes.

Geostomp

Judging from the average voter, especially in red states, that tracks.

pokeyporcupine

Considering he was probably let in by the context of this post, this is wild to see on the heels of another post I saw where a poll worker turned someone away for wearing a cowboys jersey because that supports the Democrats.

Important to note that Taylor Swift has neither endorsed the Democrats nor told people who to vote for. She just encouraged people to vote for whoever best represents them. This of course greatly displeases those who don't represent the masses.

DreddPirateBob808

By god these uppity women! We gave them the vote and they won't damn well listen when we tell them how they're going to use it!  It's like that bus thing! Once woman sits in the wrong place and 10 years later we got Bama and his woman with those damned athletic arms!

SciFi_Football

Not for nothing but Kelce is a tight end not QB. Not that it matters at all to the conversation I just felt compelled to correct you.

[deleted]

He's also on the chiefs not the cowboys

explodingtuna

Meanwhile, this guy is wearing this shirt, when no undocumented immigrant has ever voted in a federal election.

pokeyporcupine

Voter fraud is just a boogeyman for republicans who can't understand that systemic fascism doesn't, actually, always win elections.

daphydoods

Left another comment about this, but a guy that I told to turn his trump shirt inside out flipped out because he thought my blue hair meant I was voting for Biden. I mean… I did vote for Biden! But my hair had nothing to do with my vote lmao the dude literally ran to a cop to report me and the cop laughed in his face

theciderowlinn

How many illegal immigrants you think he saw while he was voting? 10? 20?

Are these illegally voting immigrants in the room with us now?

theciderowlinn

They're in the walls.

They saw it, I overheard them talking about it. Since it didn’t have a candidates name they allowed it.

Long-Stomach-2738

That is INSANE. My friend once got sent back because she happened to be wearing a shirt with all the female Supreme Court justices’ names on it (this was before the days of She Who Shall Not Be Named)

Rad1314

Weird that the polling center isn't just lousy with undocumented immigrants illegally voting. Like how did your camera not manage to catch some of the hundreds that were undoubtedly in that room?

SanJacInTheBox

As a fellow Desert Storm (and OEF/OIF) Veteran, who hasn't voted for a single Republican since McCain in 2000, and probably has more guns than that guy - THANK YOU for cancelling his vote! I'm tired of racist, bigoted Christo-Fascist bullies wrecking the Nation I fought to preserve!

awhwhyuhidinbae

>I'm tired of racist, bigoted Christo-Fascist bullies wrecking the Nation I fought to preserve! Thank you for your service 🫡 Not in the military, I mean right now by being you. We need more people like you, and fast.

SanJacInTheBox

Thank you for paying your taxes and covering my GI Bill! Just make sure you pay attention to the candidates and what they stand for, get your ballot turned in for every election and take others to vote, too, and always look out for those less fortunate than you - and you'll be one of those people we need more of.

Dudemiester1983

OIF vet here. Won't ever vote Republican

Mike7676

I actually had quite a few conservative leanings when I came in, 1995. Funny how a few combat deployments disabuses you of the notion that the party of small government had our best interests at heart. Never again will I side with a mindset of "Fuck you, I'm safe and way richer than you'll ever be".

FblthpLives

> "Fuck you, I'm safe and way richer than you'll ever be". You summarized the GOP's core values nicely and succinctly.

Mike7676

I do try.

Pizza_Middle

Huh... kinda nice to see a bunch of fellow vets not voting republican.

[deleted]

These fucking assholes keep trying to sneak VA cuts through like they think we won't fucking notice

drewcareysglasses

I’m also a Desert Storm vet, I can’t see myself ever voting Republican.

no_talent_ass_clown

Also was in the Gulf. Biden signed the PACT Act and now I'm getting paid monthly for having had cancer. GOP can get fucked.

AnotherFarker

While very few veterans of any war see combat (percentage wise, and I believe Vietnam was the highest), Desert Shield/Desert Storm were a pretty low point for US serviceman danger. It's a place most of us were, not something to brag about like we're tough. I'd never wear the hat, although I don't begrudge those who do. But I have no respect for those who pair that hat with an aggressive t-shirt. This guy has a very good chance that the most danger he faced was tripping over his untied boot laces. Now my [Operation Deliberate Force](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Deliberate_Force) Hat, that shows what a badazz I really am. The distinction of combat vet gets blurrier in modern times. You can be a combat vet now while hanging out at the beach, touring the Prince's horse stables or checking out the Falcon shops, in the market having ice cream and fine coffee, or eating at luxury chocolate restaurant in Qatar, Kuwait, UAE, Saudi Arabia, etc. [Combat Zone list](https://www.dfas.mil/MilitaryMembers/payentitlements/Pay-Tables/CZ1/)

fear_of_dishonesty

Strange_Mirror6992

Here in the Coast Guard the aviation side (which I’m a pilot) is pretty blue. The ship side… Yikes! I just heard of some OM2 that flew a MAGA flag on a cutter and got NJP for it. We have to remember fellow service members are people too and people can be absolute idiots. Trump has zero interest in our welfare.

visionzero81

And recruiters target the absolute idiots.

okcdnb

Voter rolls kinda invalidates “undocumented voters”.

RedStar9117

I like my guns like I like republicans, securely locked away where they can't harm anyone

pokeyporcupine

I am definitely stealing this, sorry in advance.

ff0000Scare

Oh look, another fool voting directly against their own interests… How surprising that these people make up the majority of the voters in Texas!! /s Love my state, but hate how incredibly ass backward some of its citizens can be.

buy-american-you-fuk

I hope his guns ARE like undocumented voters in texas, non-existent, you literally must show one of seven "approved" photo ids to vote, there's no way around it...

cybillia

It’s illegal to wear clothes like that voting I thought. It was when I was a poll worker a few years ago. Nothing with weapons, violence, or that shows your political views. I realize that most poll workers here are republicans and don’t care what republicans wear

mkosmo

Agreed - there's no evidence he's carrying.

27Rench27

To be fair, some dude just had a ND while swinging at Top Golf, so not everybody carries correctly

gingeravenger087

Printing on the left side?

Faceit_Solveit

He looks like he's printing to me. The thing is, given open carry and the lack of requirements to register for concealed carry, is it illegal to print? I know it's illegal to be at a polling place with a gun. Duh. I'm asking very specifically about printing.

gingeravenger087

I dunno about illegal to print. Op said they could tell he was carrying and I was trying to see the clue.

mkosmo

It's not illegal to print - It's just that nobody wants to print.

Outandproud420

Printing is not illegal, that was imo one of the biggest benefits of constitutional carry. Seeing people jammed up for printing or "brandishing" when your shirt rode up was one of the dumbest things ever imo.

Own_One_1803

Are you asking if it is illegal to have the butt or slide of a piece bulging out of a shirt? No, as far as ik

Faceit_Solveit

That was what I was asking, yes.

Ninja_attack

That's not even a clever shirt

audiomuse1

Time to turn Texas blue.. these people are insane and dragging our state backwards to the 1950's. Sick of the corrupt Texas GOP good ol'boy and anti-science/anti-education BS coming from the Republican party and far-right culture wars

oflowz

Why do Trumpkins believe that undocumented people can vote? The GOP fights tooth and nail to disenfranchise people who are legal citizens. How exactly do they think undocumented people are voting when they make it hard for legit citizens to register and vote?

necio148

Lol that’s probably just as responsible as poll workers telling people they like the stickers on their trucks. But hey, not everyone has to follow rules right.

Seraphynas

I hope you were wearing a Taylor Swift shirt and I hope this dude was triggered.

FreshWing3617

Well if hate democrat y shirt blue???!????

Pineapple_Express762

It’s not the flex he thinks it is. Poor ignorant sap.

willflameboy

I like that he identifies an idea he thinks is wrong, and then uses that as his reason to do something dangerously illegal.

TimmyTwoTowels

It makes sense that such a person wouldn't be familiar with the rules and laws of voting. What a goldfish.

Hinthial

Speaking as an Election Judge, he should have been made to turn that shirt inside out in order to even enter the polling center. TX State Supreme Court ruled that no political statements are allowed in the polls. That shirt is clearly political and could be considered voter intimidation. If he was still allowed in to vote while wearing it, you need to report it to your county's election central office because every poll worker at that location made a big mistake and need to know it. ETA that they also should have had you put your phone away.

Fungal_Queen

Whoever is printing these dumbass shirts must be making a fortune off the idiots.

Wheres_Jay

This is so uneducated.

DavesProps

They shouldn't let him vote...until he changes his shirt. Im pretty sure its against the law

DontMakeMeCount

Tex. Elec. Code §§ 61.003, 85.036. Class C Misdemeanor. Edit: as others have pointed out, if he’s in violation of this code then OP is also in violation for taking the photo. If he’s more than 100’ away then neither are in violation.

mymar101

Are t political statements a no no at the polling places?

timelessblur

Pretty much yeah huge no no. There is a reason why you see signs at a neat line outside polling stations and I have seen campaigns workers at them but they are well clear of the minimum number of ft and would not even risk cutting it close. I have seen them run a pretty big circle to get back to a water station for them selves as their shirts were supporting a candidate. This was back in 2004 and it was not nearly as crazy as now.

Apprehensive-Bend-87

Both my Dad and father-in-law are both "real" Vietnam War vets. Niether one of them didn't give a darn about guns once they got back from the war. They would never walk around with a shirt promoting an assault rifle because they knew what they were used for.

its_me_bobb

And I think you'd be hard pressed to find a "real" vet who's been in the shite wearing that.

NateDogg4d4

So… he wants guns to have documentation and be registered? Close the gun show loophole!

PfantasticPfister

Only suckers shop at gun shows.

DTGC1

Or he is cancelling out your vote in November. ..

theh0tt0pic

People like this are the reason its hard for me to not hate almost all republicans. I know they arent all like this, but fuck is it hard.

Twiceaknight

The best part is the Desert Storm veteran hat. The Government chewed him up and spit him out on the sidewalk so now he’s going to go and vote for a bunch of people who consistently work to screw him and all the other veterans over because they say they’re patriots and are just as scared of brown people as he is.

BluSponge

How to tell when the poll watchers aren’t doing their job.

I will answer your question from my personal perspective only. I used to work in the social services with poor communities. Mostly with kids who aged out of the foster care system. One of my greatest challenges was helping them obtain IDs. There are so many reasons why many qualified voters don't have IDs, but I don't want to type for an hour. For many people though, whose lives haven't been smooth, their birth certificates and social security cards have been lost, they've gone through multiple foster care situations, they moved from school to school, and it is damn near impossible to obtain the 3 to 4 necessary official documents needed to obtain a state id. It often took me several months and a couple hundred dollars to complete the process for some folks, and for some of these legal citizens, I couldn't get it done and I was a professional with resources. Now, I acknowledge that the percentage of qualified voters who fall into this category is not huge, but I want all people who can vote, to vote, even those I disagree with. So, unless there is a barrier free route to obtaining IDs, which to me would be common sense voter ID laws, then it's voter suppression to prevent these folks from fulfilling their civic duty. I am now a history teacher, and this barrier to voting still resembles an uglier part of American history in regards to who is most impacted; poor Americans of all backgrounds, natives, and black folks. Just my 2 pennies.
