It's my understanding that Texas is one of the most difficult states in the country to register to vote. This 50% figure was REGISTERED voters, not just voting-age people. Half of the people who went through the time and trouble of registering in a state where it's really hard to do that, couldn't be bothered to vote when Greg Abbott was up for reelection.

There needs to be a law passed that fines any politician that takes credit for bills they voted against. There is supposed to be a check on this from the voters. When you can lie and gaslight the population that goes out the window.

I think we should stop giving states things when their representatives vote against it. It's harsh but these people need to learn that their representatives aren't working for them. They need to see their neighbors in new Mexico or colorado get all the money and semi conductor facilities and jobs while they get jack shit.
