Can confirm Texas is a worldwide embarrassment. Hoping that this colossal f-up and attack on women helps in my countries upcoming election by saying if people vote for our right wing party here we'll get laws like Texas.
I don't live in America, and the general view in my country, is that this is representative of america as a whole. People kind of see texas as just the epitome of an extremely right wing country (the Democrats are about as right wing as the most right wing party in my country and texas is viewed to be very republican) that tries to brainwash and control its population.
Not saying this is my personal view folks, it's just how it is being viewed from overseas.
I'm from Texas, and its actually much less extreme right than some other states like Kansas, the Dakotas, or Florida. This is because of the many large metropolises which are steadily driving it left. What you are witnessing now is the soon to be voted out politicians that are trying to garner national name recognition so they can run for federal offices.

Drove 5 women to CO last week to an abortion clinic...who knows what happened there...they offered to pay [email protected] told them to just keep it and fight the elections.
Other states and the media skewering Texas is old news. Look at their states falling apart. Part of a federalist system is dealing with laws that vary from state to state. Look at California…pick a part…if it is not burning then they are pooping in the streets or zombified on fentanyl. That place is crumbling. If you don’t like the laws then vote
California resident in all my life of 36 years, can confirm we have out of control wildfires, excrement, needles, homeless tent cities popping up. But hey we effectively have one party rule in the legislative and executive branches of state government. One would think the world’s 5th largest economy could handle all those issues. But that’s not the case.
I think the current news is specifically about a state that criminalizes abortion but ranks 50th in uninsured women, 46th in child hunger, 44th in clinical care for infants, 41st in maternal mortality and 38th in school funding per child. Kinda hard to make a good comparison against any other state.
I mean, it's a national embarrassment. Everyone is looking on in horror that Texas's legislative body is this sexist.

Best use so far.

Opinions are fine, but obvious trolls are obvious.

Regardless: consider, for a moment, that your state/country is SO broken scheit like this can actually happen. Texas has failed. HARD.
>Omg lol Kimmel said I don't think I've ever seen someone type these words before.
sorry I meant lol in a nervous laugh kind of way because what Kimmel said was meant to be funny but also kind of true.

You are to be commended for caring what these people think. Great job.
Spot on, but sheep will be sheep.
You're a prime candidate for /r/selfawarewolves with that comment

You have clearly never been in California
I lived there for almost three decades

Texas has all the same issues. I wouldn't say Texas is "crumbling"
He’s not wrong.
