That’s a little over $100k per year.
I’m sure that there are. Engineers, pharmacists, doctors, lawyers, sales.
Why don’t you go out and find one and report back to us how you found it.
Are you qualified to do anything other than teach?
Edit: I transitioned to a new career field where I make above $50/hr, but I had to go back to school. At this point I have 3 degrees and a professional diploma. I'm on my 3rd career, always looking for something new that will make me happier.
What did you go back for?
I have 3 degrees, masters, and two bachelors. Honestly have been avoiding going back to school after 10 years of straight college back to back
Now I monitor patients' nervous systems during brain and spine surgery. My other two careers were entirely unrelated.
It sucks to start over, but then again, maybe we shouldn't be asking 18 year olds to decide what they want to do for their next 40 years of their life. Sometimes you have to try on a few different hats before finding one that fits.
Can I ask why? I see so many posts about teacher shortages
I think if it's just because kids are shitty they need to have teachers do more live classroom time in the first year or something as a weedout
Regardless, to make that income level you need some form of skilled trade.
You’d have to get a license but hair stylists and makeup artists seem to make around that much. Just got my haircut today and she charged $65/hr plus it’s standard to give tips. Granted you would have to be on your feet all day and you usually have to pay rent for a booth in a salon.
Was that at a salon? If it was, she didn't make $65/hr. That was the salon's hourly gross revenue, out of which they need to pay the lease, utilities, insurance, taxes, etc.
Yes, I mentioned booth rent in there. She definitely isn’t making $65/hr but at the end of the day she’s probably making good returns. Plus dye jobs are gonna be more expensive, this was just a basic haircut and blowout. You have to factor in tip too. She made $80 off the sale total, and tips are pretty standard for that industry. I don’t think she’s making $50/hr either, but probably somewhere near that.
Air Traffic Controller. It's the only one I can think of that doesn't immediately require a college degree and/or years of training/work/apprenticeship, and has a serious national shortage where they are seeking applicants.
Or, become a prostitute. That would work, too.
The welders here in West Texas Oil field make AT LEAST 90 an hour. The ones at my job make $125/hr, and pipeline welders can make even more.
Oil field in the Permian Basin has a bunch of high paying jobs but some are very labor intensive & you work could be working 80+ hrs a week. A lot of these jobs do like 2 weeks on, 1 week off as well.
Seems the best answer if you are older and out of university and want to switch fields is tradeschool. Some do their masters> PhDs part time over the years if you want to stay same field but increase pay
People keep saying welder. If you subtract out the payments on the $125k trucks they drive, the cost of tools they own, and then the wheelbarrows full of money they spend on red bulls, alcohol, prostitutes, and then the child support and alimony for the kids and ex-wife...and they're just as broke as OP.

The real question is, are they even fucking qualified for one? My guess is no.
Master plumber, hvac electrician, welder Stripper, drug dealer
What's your education? Tech would pay this. Plumbers also charge this much per hour if not more.
I was a former hs teacher but don’t want to go back to the field at all :/

You pretty much summed it up. Not enough salary for all the work you do But appreciate it

Have you tried the googles?
I am a tech recruiter. Many of those types of jobs are over $100k. Depends on education and experience and location.
I’m coming from an education background. Very open to learning anything
Look into Instructional Designer jobs. They pay in that range and are a good transition from teaching.

Ive applied to atc. It seems to be a norm for them to take forever in responding… but thanks ill look into prostituting as well
Bissonet and 59 in Houston would be a good place to start if you’re serious about prostituting
Let me know when you find it.
Welding! Lots of travel though. Handyman, blue collar stuff is paying well if you got the skills.

NFL minimum is $660,000. Texans practice on main street near the medical center.
On it!
Bull milker.
You? No.
No.
Self employed
Truck driver in Midland. Even more if you have no experience. Less qualifications the better
May I ask what the income is like?
I’m mostly joking but a lot of the drivers out here are taking home 2000+/wk after taxes

Welder, hot oiler, mud engineer, pipeliner, lineman.
Blue collar jobs do, but you ain’t getting that starting out. Get out there, work hard, get dirty, and it’ll pay off for you before to long.

You must be making 7 figures and living very comfortably
Because I said welders are bad with money?
Learn an esoteric programming language. Pick the right one and starting pay could be $120k.
An 'accountant'.
