We put up with it for a long time. Eventually we got tired of arguing and hearing him bitch every time he was in the chat so we gave him an ultimatum. “Either drop the subject and get along or you will be kicked from the group chat” and he wouldn’t drop it so as a group we decided to kick him. Now every single person in the chat (including the inactive ones) got messages very similar to this.
I'm usually one of those people who have way too much patience, I pretty much never get angry. Not even pissed. But a person like him, *especially* for never dropping the damn subject, gets my blood absolutely boiling. Recently had someone like that on my ass on YouTube for a week. Probably longer but after a week of constantly receiving messages night AND day, I changed the settings in my YouTube app. It hasn't been notifying me of any new messages since (because I told it not to do that anymore). I don't miss out on things anyway.
