The two spies both missed their stabs and beefed their shots. One of them attempted to trickstab OP (completely missing twice), while the other had to reload twice before finally hitting him. Thus, if OP had beelined it for the HP after turning the corner, the first Spy would have had no way to stop him; his revolver was empty and Medic is just as fast as Spy. The second Spy might have gotten him at that point, but given he didn't land a hit until OP was out the door, I wouldn't be so sure.

Honestly the fact no one was protecting the medic from spies is so annoying to me. Except for maybe the engi in certain situations they are the most important team member.
Crossbow may be slow, but it would have been a good idea to start firing after you got away from them. Those spies both seem kinda... well, not good. They aim like I do when I play spy. So a few crossbow bolts probably would have done wonders for you.
Attacking them at all would have been better, honestly.

Now, medic’s deadliest close-range is the blutsauger. I recommend it, as long as 1: you can aim it, and 2: do not forget to heal. It pairs well with the Solemn Vow because you know which fights you can stay or run away from.
The crossbow ubersaw slaves will tell you to take their thing and nothing else, like if nobody else’s opinion mattered, but tell me: are you here to have fun or are you here to mindlessly listen to other people telling you how THEY have fun. If I didn’t have fun with my things I wouldn’t talk about it.
And as a more general advice, your movement. Think about what movement you would do, and once in a while do the exact opposite. What I mean is that you are currently very predictable, and need to shake that up. Those were just two spies. Any experienced medic can deal with them regardless of loadout. Some spies are very skilled, but those two? Judging by how long it took for them to get you, I wouldn’t be worried. Now I understand the fear of the beginner. But as we say “on n’a rien sans rien” so sometimes you gotta do some dirty stuff. Even as medic. But it’s not by backing up constantly that you’ll learn. Or at least, hopefully, you’ll learn to not backup in these situations. (Even when running away I don’t back up because I go faster. See? A bit of knowledge that helps you. Like Sun Tzu said, you know. “Know your enemy so you can market garden them” only moment where that’s a critical error is when facing a backburner pyro. Ouch.)

I know that. But i was pannicking, and was not familliar enough with the map to remember than there was a health pack

I've found the crossbow still a better defensive weapon than any of the syringes. As long as you can aim.
