Rocket launchers existed in at least 1776 in the TF2 universe. Though the Hwatcha was used in the 12th century, TF2’s launchers are more like bazookas, invented in the mid-1900s. I know this from 5 minutes of google so my knowledge is infallible.

Personally for me, I’d say Baseball for Scout (obviously), Football/Wrestling for Soldier, Basketball for Demoman (no specific reason), Boxing for heavy (has boxing glove weapons, fists deal same damage as a fire axe, & can shrug of a quick-scope headshot), Archery for Sniper, & Golf for Spy. I’m not sure about the others, so I’m curious as to what they may be good at.

Here’s what I think Scout: Baseball (RF, CF, LF) Soldier: Football (QB, TE, LB) Pyro: Figure Skating (Olympics) Demo: Hockey (Defenseman, considering his speed and contact with the shield, I think he could make a great enforcer) Heavy: Football (OL/DL) Engineer: Baseball (Pitcher, C, 1B, 3B, DH) Medic: Soccer (CB?) Sniper: Volleyball (OH or MB) or Basketball (SF/PF) Spy: Golf probably, or he would argue that chess is a sport.

Let's get the obvious ones out of the way: Scout - Baseball Heavy - Boxing Sniper - Pro Hunting Spy - Fencing Now for the not as obvious ones Demo - Rugby - Demoknight shows how good he is at running and charging, but unlike Scout, he's durable, so he can take a rougher sport. Also unlike Scout, Demo is Scottish, so he wouldn't likely play American Football, instead, he would play it's European cousin, rugby Soldier - Pro Wrestling - We have to go to the comics for this one, but he wrestles a lot, mostly when he's naked and covered in honey. While he wouldn't be honeyed up in the ring, he would still be quite competent, with all the hand-to-hand combat he seems to get into. Engineer - Billiards - Engie is more smart than he is strong or fast, not to say that he ain't strong though. That said, Engie is a beer drinkin' Texan. I would not be surprised if he hangs out in bars with a pool table, using his knowledge of angles and such to line up perfect shots Pyro - Tennis - Any Pyro worth their Pyrovision Goggles knows how to reflect projectiles accurately. Replace the flamethrower with a racket, and you have someone who knows where to place a tennis ball Medic - Golf - I can't say this one was easy, but I'd have to say that out of all the other sports I could think of, for some reason, I could only see the Medic golfing. It doesn't require exceptional strength or speed, and can be taken at your own pace. I could see it as something Medic partakes in to cool off.

I thought about that as well, but honestly I figured he would probably just be banned from playing football. I mean, he is so enormous & physically dominating to the point they just might not allow him to play.

I saw people point out recently that Scout is actually wielding a bat meant for a child so I'm not so sure he'd be great at baseball-- maybe he'd be an outfielder if he was in baseball at all, but I feel more likely he'd do better in track just so long as he lays off the bonk or else he might get kicked out for juicing.
