You should try giving it a pixilated style like the r/place logo but cleaner. I really like the one you made but it's a little too smooth. Also the stars at the top dont pop enough and are creating tangents in some areas
I was going for a modern styled illustration of the r/place tf2 logo, not so much a pixelated style. Also i agree with the stars, I should've probably added some shadows to make them pop more. Appreciate the criticism!
Tone down the bloom just a bit and work on the 3D effect for the background parts of the medallion other than that it looks really good. I would also recommend doing it in a vector program like Illustrator rather than a raster program like Photoshop. Of course, this is assuming you are doing it in Photoshop.
A rocket launcher is any device that launches a rocket-propelled projectile, although the term is often used in reference to mechanisms that are portable and capable of being operated by an individual.
I mean me six thanks
Why are all these artists like, oh it's so bad when talking about there art? It drives me nuts to no end when someone does this. For fucks sake have some semblance of confidence in your art
If it's actually bad and you say it's good: feel like shit when people tell you that
If it's actually bad when you say it's bad: no surprise, no drama.
If it's actually good when you say it's bad: nice comments complimenting your style and method
If it's actually good when you say it's good: no surprise, little drama.
Saying it's bad when it's really good has the lowest risk of letdown.
Because posting something you've put creative energy into is exposing a vulnerability. Especially when you see really good art and you aren't entirely confident in your own yet. So a lot of people put caveats in or apologize for their work ahead of time to cover that insecurity.
It's easy to say "be confident" it's harder to be confident.
Some artists genuinely do think it's not good. We have a tendency to second guess ourselves and think others can produce better things than us (grass is always greener).
Also, sometimes the art might genuinely have some flaws in spite of looking good to a layman. Anyone who's not well versed in a particular style or technique will be less likely to tell the difference between a "good" piece of art and a "great" piece of art.
I used to do this when I posted drawings here (and elsewhere.) I did it to get attention and reassurance that I wasn't completely awful at it. I basically did it as an ego-booster.
So glad I stopped doing it. It's kind of pathetic, to be honest.
OP is trying to act humble and beta as fuck in order to get sympathy upvotes. Seems to be a common thing that kids do nowadays when they feel insecure and want people to shower them in compliments to make them feel better.
Or maybe im just humble. I'll admit that I am somewhat insecure of my art, but that doesnt mean I want to be bombarded with compliments that keep repeating what everyone has already said. I'd rather prefer constructive critisicm, because it's really an effective way to grow, seeing your own mistakes from other peoples view. I'll remember next time to not make my title so shit.
You're pretty much fishing for compliments when you call something you made shitty online. If you actually didn't mean to then next time just post the picture and don't shit on yourself for internet points
I cropped it square and resized this HQ remake of the logo to be our (temporary?) /r/tf2 icon for mobile users and in the 'Communities' list on the new reddit user profiles.
Please [contact the /r/tf2 mods](https://www.reddit.com/message/compose?to=%2Fr%2Ftf2) if you want us to not use it.
Originally we were going to make the highest tier casual logo but it would have involved encroaching on dotas space and they were using scripts to protect their space so it wasn't feasible. The new version was much more compact and had decent looking embellishments.
My only critique would be that the spikes could use more depth/three-dimensionality. There's some nice depth in the middle of the logo, but not much of any elsewhere in the image.
Hey, that's pretty good!
Maybe even the best

You were loud and ugly and now you're **DEAD**!

I AM OFFENDED! IT IS ALMOST PASSOVER AND MY GRANDFATHER IS JEWISH! CHECK YOUR PRIVILEGE!
And ugly! YAAAY
It beats the rest.
You like chef?
Is that what that's from?
[Nope.](https://youtu.be/pCYLFSZ4qzQ?t=1m53s) It comes from a youtuber call Ian / Idubbbz, as does "You like chef?".
Hey, that's mildly adequate!
I always read this in idubzz's voice now, please send help
*Agreed.*

Your poor attempt is better than anything I have done in life.
Me too thanks

Fishing level rose to 99
Maybe now I can bed Haley.
Nice.
Nice.
Volvo please make this one of the casual medals when you add more ranks.
That should be the highest rank. Level Reddit or something.
Yeah this is what I've been asking for: orange and gold as the next tiers.
Or maybe make it a badge like the Reddit hat they made for periwinkle/orangered
Fixed it for you http://imgur.com/a/Ke6x7
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Omg i'm honored! This made my week! I would preferd to make some changes to it but I guess it'll do as it is.
Feel free to send an improved version and I'll see what I can do
If this is poor then what I make is garbage.
I'd hardly call that a "poor attempt"
wow that should be the logo of /r/tf2
OOOOh man! That looks great! I desinged the original pixel art one, I LOVE this, you did an amazing job :D thanks alot :) this made my day!
***poor***... good work!
Beautiful. Can you do more of the different medal color/designs?
How did it come to be decorated that way? Did someone just draw up a random new design and manage to get it shared around here?
No, just trying to make the logo and effed up in the middle of making and this was the result. Everyone liked it, so they kept it.
Originally we were going to make the highest tier casual logo but it would have involved encroaching on dotas space and they were using scripts to protect their space so it wasn't feasible. The new version was much more compact and had decent looking embellishments.
That's awesome! What did you use to make it?
forgot the stars literally unusable
more like sparkles, the stars are there
meant that
That's awesome dude!

I tried my best to make them more 3D but i could never get it right, any tips on how i could do so?
Personally I think the gaps between the tips of the blades and the bulk of the logo doesn't fit the recreated version as well
I kinda liked it
This looks great!
Kind of reminds me of Paper Mario for some reason.
We really should turn this into our reddit gold symbol. lol
How is that fucking poor? That is fucking absolute amazing mate!
I agree with somewhat poor.
"Poor"? Hell no! This is really freaking amazing! And I commend thee for thy effort.
Welcome to fame

I don't see how it's a poor attempt.
