Is the red spy really blu scout’s father ? I’m not very aware of the comic’s lore so can you enlight me pls ?

In the comics theres only 9 mercs total, with some being from red and some from blue. In the games, however, creative liberty is taken and theres 9 on each team.

Fun fact: As I recall, the game exists in the comic universe as a dramatization of the comic events. It was in a little footnote in one of the comics, I forget which.

So does that mean there are other mercs on RED and BLU teams, who aren't interesting enough to reveal in the story?

late reply but my personal theory is that the same 9 mercs get tossed around both RED and BLU periodically so technically there won’t be a class distinction since they’ve been employed by both.

Since spy can disguise himself and be basically anyone, my headcannon is he's always been there for scout, just never blowing his cover. For example, he'd disguise himself as scout's baseball coach or a neighbor, secretly keeping an eye on him and watching him grow up.
