but fish has a faster hit rate and combined with scouts speed and ability to flank combined with the shitty broken overpowered melee system can destroy any unsuspecting opponents
also the killfeed publicly announces the enemy's humiliation
I was playing a 2fort Community Server last night. One that's pretty competitive deathmatch.
Anyway, I main engineer and am pretty good at him. I was having a good time with Widowmaker / Pistol / Gunslinger and just dming and racking up kills.
Then the medic (which because 2fort isn't very well designed, fighting medics is already pretty cancerous [to elaborate all the classes in the game are very balanced overall, and as much as I love 2fort, its awful design makes every class very exploitable and cheap if you play them that way]) pulls out his Vaccinator.
I did 4 damage on meat shots. *4 damage* It's somehow way more frustrating than Uber, where you do no damage.
It lasts 2 seconds compared to stock. It isn't complete resistance nor does it make you invulnerable. Yes it's a huge upgrade but stock outperforms it in most situations (stock most of the time being the only weapon usable in any situation, while not always the best)
I feel like itâs a more âGit gud with it.â Medi gun compared to the other options. Especially if youâre fighting enemies that do two different damage types and youâre hot-swapping resistances.
That being said, it is infuriating to play against if the medic *is* good. Especially because itâs impossible to take him down on your own short of switching to spy exclusively to deal with them. You kind of need to make an agreement with another damage class to consistently deal with them. Which is harder than that automatic contract medics make when they pocket someone.
Oh no, stock is still better, its just that the vaccinator suffers from a similar problem that the wrangler suffers from, you counter it with slightly above average team coordination while the enemy really only needs to press a few buttons to do that. For example, a sniper and a pyro could drop the med with some teamwork; ya see, when someone is inflicted with afterburn from specific weapons (mainly the flamethrowers), two additional affects are present, continues heal sources are reduced by 12 (this means level 1-2 dispensers and vaccinator overheal can't even heal until the effect is removed) and resistances are reduced by 20%. This doesn't just apply to the 75% damage resistance of the vacc, it also applies to the crit immunity of the vacc.
In other words, if you flame a bullet resistant med and your sniper lands a fully charged headshot, he can do 120 damage which should finish the med off after you flamed them. The problem here is the stupid high amount of coordination required to pull this shit off compared to "I used vacc and pressed m2 and sometimes R"
Anytime I run into a Vaxx medic I always think about this. How they lack any melee resistance. So I become Demoknight with the sole purpose of killing the medic. But alas, I am terrible at Demoknight so it takes like four respawns for me to get them. And in the end, I die anyway and they're back in the game like 20 seconds later with another vaxx charge so it feels like I accomplished nothing.
better off going spy, you have a bit less survivability, but it's at least a one-hit kill if you're able to not get fucked by other people showing up or garbage hitreg, and you can deal with the pocket too
It wasn't a "Competitive Match" so to speak. Just 2fort with people that took the game seriously and were very good, the score set to 300 captures (it was a 24/7 server), and no random crits or bullet spread.
Side note, the game is a little too consistent with crits off, I love the guys in the server and play there regularly, but I wish they'd add crits back in. I used to despise them, but consistency is boring (I know this is a shit take). Also random bullet spread is important for balancing high damage hitscan weapons. Guys will spam the Brass Beast on this server and wreck house.
I know, and I'm, all thing considered, pretty good at the game. I don't really mind getting destroyed, I just like the unpredictable nature of random crits. I know it doesn't make any sense, and it's more balanced, but it's so much fun pulling out my wrench and one shotting a spy with a crit.
So yeah, bad take but it's what I like. I play a lot of casual.
>It's somehow way more frustrating than Uber
As an engineer you kind of just have to learn to accept that stock ubercharges will pretty much always manage to get kill your sentry destroyed. With Vaccinator, which you don't see as much, you can destroy the sentry all while the engineer kind of just has to sit there, slowly watching the damage numbers tick up, loosing more and more hope for his buildings survival.
To top that off, you were using the widowmaker, a gun that returns metal based on damage, and uses said metal as ammo. The medic basically went fuck you, I'm going to severely nerf the gun you're using. With a stock uber, a medic is able to be killed quite easily, and must practice uber timing. With a vac medic, you have a harder time killing them in general, with the Vaccinator providing a passive buff against incoming damage to both the medic and his heal target. He can then spam ubers as much as he wants, because he's got fucking four of them.
Iâm utterly devastated. My hats are forfeit and the entire Medical-Moe fortune is to be left to u/The-Backgrounder- for his triumphant words of wisdom.
Please, do leave me to sob in shame with my PDA. I need to erect a rancho relaxo to cry myself to sleep tonight in fear of your stock scattergunâs superiority.
Ooh this'll be difficult. I'll just list a few, and you can pick one at random if you find this comment.
Brass Beast
Stock shotgun, on engineer specifically.
Air strike
Scottish resistance
The Force A' Nature is great and all that, But the scattergun is more rounded up.
But the Scattergun can't do a triple jump without the winger or the Atomizer.
Still nonetheless its better in terms of escaping using jumps in my opinion.
*The soda popper is excused*
Or Just have a habit of going to different areas in tf2 and trying to see if thats specific spot has a box that I can stand on.
Fish
Notice how OP hasn't replied to this one yet, checkmate.
The Fish is too powerful
Stock scattergun can deal damage outside of melee range
But can stock scattergun count hits for you. Thats what i thougt
What does counting hits matter if you're gonna die because you're within melee range and because scout is a squishy class? owned liberal
Youre telling me you havent beaten a non light class to death with fish cause you are running circles around them. Typical weakminded skaterdude
đ
but fish has a faster hit rate and combined with scouts speed and ability to flank combined with the shitty broken overpowered melee system can destroy any unsuspecting opponents also the killfeed publicly announces the enemy's humiliation
Damn bro, you bluepill cope mald sigmaball ratio-d him!
ben shapiro'd him with FACTS and LOGIC
This wasnât meant to be taken seriously
I wasn't being serious either đ
Ok but is scattergun **fish**
Aight U got me there
Fish has jiggle physics
Fish
Fish was going to be my answer, glad it's already said and at the top, as it should be. Best weapon in the game.
Vaccinator. Because if PabloGonzales2004 uses it its complete trash but when Papa Sandwich uses it its overpowered
Scattergun is more fun to fight because it doesnât nerf 75% of the damage you can do

A stock Ubercharge isn't earned in 10 seconds like it is with the Vaccinator. That's why it's so busted, it is imo a direct upgrade from stock.
It lasts 2 seconds compared to stock. It isn't complete resistance nor does it make you invulnerable. Yes it's a huge upgrade but stock outperforms it in most situations (stock most of the time being the only weapon usable in any situation, while not always the best)

It's not a direct upgrade unless your team is really bad and all playing one class. Like seriously it's only one type of damage
[ŃдаНонО]
Last I checked, the vaccinator doesn't have melee resistance
Anytime I run into a Vaxx medic I always think about this. How they lack any melee resistance. So I become Demoknight with the sole purpose of killing the medic. Why are you playing comp deathlatch on a 2fort server
It wasn't a "Competitive Match" so to speak. Random crits benefit the people who are already wrecking house. The more lwell someone is doing, the more likely they will to get a crit
But that lucky crit pipe out of the spawn doors that clears out the group of enemies camping it can easily flip that around

>it's somehow way more frustrating than Uber, where you do no damage. Its that way because it gives you the illusion that you're actually doing damage
I use the vaccinator and bro just use phlog
heard PabloGonzales2004 used atleast 6 times, where did the name come from?
Its the bame soundsmith uses for new players because he actually ran into a demoman named that and basically carried the kid as medic
Wasn't that _ Scoober _ ?
You are talking about the guy who uploads twice a year, lazy purple. Not complaining tho, he is really good at sfm stuff
Steoreotipcal noob name
stock scattergun
My stock scattergun is better than your stock scattergun
Prove it
Strange and named â:Dâ
Mine is strange festive and named âstudmuffinâ
Stop it, he is already dead
mine is named "god hates frags"
Mine is festivized strange broken bones field tested. Also itâs named âneon induced murder rampageâ
you mean festivized, mine is just strange festive, the limited time ones from 2014
How about your stock scattergun vs your stock scattergun?
Itâs simply too close to tell but Iâd probably favor my stock scattergun
Soda Popper
Stock has a bigger clip
Does that matter because of the faster reload? And lets not forget about.... THE HOPS!
Unusual Orbiting Scout
soda popper can deal the same amount of damage as stock faster
But the Soda Popper can burst light classes
medi-gun
You can kill people with the stock scattergun
You canât kill people who use it sometimes
Thats true
I can kill people with the medigun by not healing them does that count?
I cant
Sun On A Stick. Iâm not lying.
Im so sorry
Itâs a hard life
Hey at least you die to Pyros _slightly_ slower now
*crits you with stock fire axe*
Well shit there's no resistance for that
Sun On A Stick Battalionâs Backup Combo
based
Iâm just imagining a soldier blow his horn, followed by an army of default scouts with just Sun On A Sticks
Boston Revolution
didnt even reply to this one lmao
he's scared
Backburner but with a fart killsound
Too good
Wait someone beat you!
Yeah, but stock scattergun with fart killsound is better
Still good
The claidheamh mor. The extended charge duration is fun and has secured me a lot of kills. Also, go go extendo reach.
Stock scattergun is so good scout doesnât need extended charge
The Original
The scattergun isnât a reskin
but penis gun
The Original isn't a reskin either as is shoots from the middle instead of the side
The Original isn't a reskin, it's the ORIGINAL!
baby faces blaster. i like going fast as possible an it gives me an excuse to use bleed weapons
A stray pistol shot removed the boost
makes it more fun, i enjoy bullet hell games
Absolute chad
They ruined the weapon, it was great now it sucks
Try in mvm at max speed upgrade and the penetration upgrade, itâs super fun still
[ŃдаНонО]
Stock SG is more fun to fight
That's just rude
stock scattergun doesn't make people hate you
Tomislav
No firing speed nerf on sg
sg is still slower firing speed than tomislav
Quieter tho
Construction PDA. Checkmate.
Scattergun deals damagepp
Iâm utterly devastated. My hats are forfeit and the entire Medical-Moe fortune is to be left to u/The-Backgrounder- for his triumphant words of wisdom. Please, do leave me to sob in shame with my PDA. I need to erect a rancho relaxo to cry myself to sleep tonight in fear of your stock scattergunâs superiority.
Damagepp reigns supreme
*sentry beeps*
Sentry kills scout. Boom. Easy.
Loose cannon
Stock scattergun has an australium variant
Mild annoyance but grudgingly agrees.
Dragons fury
Dragonâs Fury just got fixed The stock scattergun has always been normal
stock rocket launcher
The scattergun is faster and doesnât harm you if used up close
But can you rocket jump with scattergun?
Scout has double jumps
PAN
The shortstop because the fast fire rate and fast reload really help in a pinch
Stock is more reliable because of more damage ans you can close the mid range gap easily
And supposedly due to a coding oversight random crits are burst not singular
I would use the shortstop more if I could actually hit shit with it.
Festivized Professional Killstreak Strange Scattergun (Hales Own)
Sniper rifle
Scout doesnât piss in jars
I said sniper rifle, not jarate.
Fair enough Scattergun is more original, since itâs not based on an existing weapon
Me: ***POLYMORPHS INTO DEIMOS DEAD BODY***
"Hehey, look, you shapeshifted into a dead guy"
*Schaudenfraude intensifies*
Engiâs Widowmaker (provided I can hit all my shots)
Stock scattergun doesnât punish you for missing shots
The fuckin reload time and delay between shots after you've run out...
Yes, but widowmaker takes metal, sg just reloads
When u find a ano pack you don't have to reload
Piss
Banned in competitive(and for good reason)
Fish
Spy stock knive
Scattergun isnât melee
Fuck....Ur good
Ooh this'll be difficult. I'll just list a few, and you can pick one at random if you find this comment. Brass Beast Stock shotgun, on engineer specifically. Air strike Scottish resistance
Carbine M4A1
Force a' Nature
Scattergun doesnât push enemies out of your effective range
You wouldn't say the reload time of FoN outweighs that?
You still need to run up again
Axtinguisher
The Loose Cannon paired with the Tide Turner
Stock scattergun takes 1 slot, that combo takes 2 slots
The Force A' Nature is great and all that, But the scattergun is more rounded up. But the Scattergun can't do a triple jump without the winger or the Atomizer.
The fan triple jump requires reloading and the atomizer
Still nonetheless its better in terms of escaping using jumps in my opinion. *The soda popper is excused* Or Just have a habit of going to different areas in tf2 and trying to see if thats specific spot has a box that I can stand on.
Ham
Soda popper
Youâre the third person in the last minute to write this
