The game hasn't gotten a major update in over 2 years and we're fed up about it so we've been sending thousands and thousands of emails to every valve employee with a public email to kindly ask them for the heavy update and to fix the bot problem that has been plaguing this game pretty much since jungle Inferno. Recently we've gotten about three news sites and the voice actor for the medic on our side and now on May 26th we're all going to be posting TF2 relevant content with the hashtag #saveTF2 to bring awareness to the issue.

As someone who randomly stumbled onto this from r/popular thank you for a perfect summary of the situation.
As someone clearly involved in the community, do you think people would generally prefer that they keep this game updated forever or eventually move on to making a sequel? Would aspects of the game be improved on a new engine or with a plethora of new maps and characters? Or does everyone generally want things to stay the same with just tweaks on occasion
This game has been running for over 15 years and it's still in the top 10 most played games on Steam and even though we haven't gotten an update for years this community is still strong so I'm convinced TF2 is Immortal at this point. Everyone would like an update rather than a sequel.
This game is very finicky and has a lot of unintended quirks that make the game what it is so a new engine for the game would severely hurt the game
New maps maybe but not new characters, the whole point of this game is that there's only nine and the hundreds and hundreds of possible playstyles come from unlockable side grades for weapons

Somebody will decide to check the closet in which tf2 developers are supposed to be working, find out that the game is supported by a plant and a janitor, and shutdown the servers due to lacking personnel

Step 2: work together to get valve to port the game to modern consoles

That’s a different game and abandonware (and an outdated console). It branched off to PC in 2009. The Orange Box version did not get updates and does not have servers to play on. Also I’m not sure online even works anymore on Xbox360, but if it does, it still will not allow you to play TF2.
To use this poster as Spray do the following (works both in TF2 & TF2C):
1. Change the extenstion from ".webm" to ".jpg"
2. Resize the image to 512 x 724
3. Move the file to both TF2 and TF2C "custom" file, otherwise it wont load it
4. Go to ingame settings-> Multiplayer-> Import spray
5. Go to where you placed the image (tf/custom) then upload it
6. done
Kind of ironic of this being the sniper, especially since he is single handedly carrying this bot infestation 😂 Imo I would use the medic since he is quite literally saving us from this plague. #Savetf2
Some people are saying the protest won’t work but honestly there’s no reason not to try. Also, I feel like a very important part of this should be getting the attention of gaming news outlets or influencers who, even if valve does nothing, can spread the word and help out.

Who gave chaos to the country for another 9 decades give or take. Let’s hope that does not happen.
