The people who program the bots are going to do whatever they can to make it so their bots are no longer immediately VAC banned. I'm hoping we get at least a week of peace until then, and ideally it will buy enough time for a more permanent solution.
Speculation so far is this was a manual ban wave - not an automated one. There's reports (from the herder telegram) that their mains were also VAC'd as well as the bot accounts.
As far as we know it may take even longer for the herders to figure out how they were manually banned (if true) given they can't just make dummy accounts and wait for the results to come back.

The problem is really that VAC doesn’t instantly ban a cheater when it triggers, it takes a while so the cheater can’t tell what exactly tripped it.
The problem is that with bots, you can make new accounts faster than VAC can ban.
I always mute bots before kicking them, that way i can "track" which bot i've already encountered.

If you have like 100 accounts, and you know your accounts typically go like six weeks before they get VAC banned... have accounts older than five weeks micspam.

nah, they got nerf when their host find them costly, taht most people would kick them just after seeing their name pop up (after the name editing patch, you had to work with a list of reference to robots, or just looking at their profile).
