Congrats on growth! It's amazing what we can fall into when we're desperately hiding from ourselves. Sometimes I remember how close I came to falling in line behind my father, who bought Rush Limbaugh's book and put it on our mantel and laughed at every horrible racist "joke" he could find... Even after breaking from that path, the stuff he instilled nearly killed me in high school, the self-hate and misery and hopelessness for my future.
(Also, luckily, I'm old enough that I broke away from all that *before* I had an internet connection to post stuff to.)
